I decided to wait in the shop as I was the first appointment for the day. I did have someone walk in without an appointment and they were able to give them a timeframe and begin working on their car shortly. Note that some of the photos on yelp so that they are at the very end of the unit but looks like they moved to a middle unit. Google maps is up to date on the location so refer to that.

He also prevented me from making a costly mistake of my windshield. I wanted the tint an inch or so lower than what is allowed by Virginia law. Being a reputable shop he informed me he could do what I was asking but more than likely you will be back in under a year to have it removed after failing Virginia's state inspection. None of us want to throw away money. I am thankful for his guidance. My new car looks perfect and based on past experiences will look that way for the life of my car.

However, Contour's owner Mr. Tim Davison wasn't satisfied with the outcome and told me I didn't owe him anything even though they worked on my car for a week! I had initially had my vehicle worked on at Next Level Tint in the same garage. After a week of no response from Ashu to get the appointment scheduled, the tint job had obvious contamination and gaps on the window edges as well as a door panel that was not replaced correctly. Ashu from Next Level Tint was dismissive and unprofessional and refused to address any of these issues (after initially lying saying that he actually did redo it already which was clearly false). I ran into Amr in the same garage who immediately noticed the issues and said he would have it fixed by the next day. Amr was easy to communicate with and he called me when he started the work first thing next morning and texted me promptly when he was done just a couple hours later. It's obvious he takes pride in his work and actually cares about getting it right, rather than just swiping your credit card once and then not taking any ownership of his work afterwards. After he fixed everything, I tried to give him a tip for going above and beyond. He refused it and told me the best thing I could do was tell other people about his business. That says a lot about how he operates. He's not just trying to take your money once and move on and is clearly building a business on trust and repeat customers. This is the kind of customer service every tint shop should aspire to. If you want a shop that stands behind its work and treats customers with respect, go with Amr and First Class Tint.

They operate out of the same garage but these are two separate businesses sharing that space. As for Ashu and Next Level Tint, I understand that no tinting job can be perfect. However, how a shop treats customers when asked about any issues should be very telling about how they would treat you in the future if there is a problem or if there is a warranty issue. Before getting my car tinted there, I specifically asked Ashu about his 100% satisfaction guarantee that he kept bragging about. Based on how things actually played out, that guarantee means nothing once he has your money. Communication was a problem from the very beginning. When I first reached out to schedule my appointment, Ashu went silent for over a week before responding and then offered no explanation. Once the tint job was done, I noticed obvious contamination and gapping along the edge of the film. Ashu initially said oh yeah that's adhesive, bring your car back in and I can redo it. I brought my car back at business open and came back to pick it up at 6pm as he requested. Turns out the car had sat in the lot the whole day and one of his colleagues said "oh we didn't get to it". Ashu then came out and initially lied saying that he had already redone everything. When I pointed out that this was clearly false given that the contamination bubbles were still in the exact same place and that his colleague just said that they didn't get to it, Ashu immediately became dismissive and defensive, walking away saying that "there are no refunds" even though this was not anything I had even asked for. When I pointed out the ongoing issues, he tried to gaslight me by saying "that's nothing" which is an interesting response given he was actively walking away with his back turned. Separately, Ashu did not even bother to reinstall one of the interior door panels in the vehicle. They were left pried open after the initial tint job, and he tried to act like he was doing me a favor by addressing this (but not before saying I didn't do that, despite his colleague telling me right before he came over that they do remove those panels to install the side window tint). I ended up running into Amr from First Class Tint and Wrap, who not only fixed the door panel immediately but also fixed the poor job that Ashu did on the first try by the next business day. That alone tells me this comes down to skill and attention to detail on Ashu's part, not just an unlucky first attempt. On top of all this, Next Level Tint charges a premium price compared to other shops in the area, so you're paying more for less accountability and worse results. Between the dismissiveness, the lack of communication, and the lack of accountability, I have zero confidence in this shop standing behind its work. I am not sure how Ashu Saini isn't embarrassed to be operating out of the same garage as Amr. Save yourself the headache and go with Amr at First Class Tint instead.
