Tuna melt delish! Array of local fare and merchandise a shoppers dream. Great spot for a quick bite. Baked goods moist and fresh. Polite and friendly counter service.

Two girls running the front store. I made it my 1st stop to check out what they have to offer before shopping at other stores. The clerks were not too friendly, no welcome, & no smiles. They have a lot of jams, wine, and fine chocolate. When I stopped in again on my way back to the car, there was no one in the front room. I only chose to shop here because they were the only ones with the lobster gummies. I had to call for service to be rung up. Otherwise, I'm sure I could have just walked out with the goods. They didn't even thank me for shopping! I don't think I'll stop in again.

Just what I was looking for. It was a great one stop shop for nick nacks. I went to a lot of different specialty store but this was a nice one stop shop for what I needed. The staff was friendly. Best maple latte ever. Free parking.

They like to claim they make their own fudge out back, but that's definitely not true. Employees are told to tell tourists this.

**November 2025: Friday Night Visit**…read more I needed to pick up some quart size sandwich bags, and this super market had that and so much more. I'm amazed by how huge this store was and the variety of everything you could ever need and more. I also liked that there are different sections that have Maine Made items and that there are little signs that say "local" if you wanted to pick up some regional items. I really wanted to pick up some fresh Maine milk, and Maple BBQ sauce, but unfortunately since I was at the tail end of my roadtrip I couldn't take much expect for a small bag of salt and vinegar potato chips and my sandwich bags; however, if I come back to Portland, I'll know where I can buy some regional goodies!

There are plenty of pre-made options if you're looking for food on the go (although the chicken wings at $9.99 a pound are a total rip off), a dedicated local product section (please expand!), and some interesting international offerings (chive dumplings!). My only complaint is that it is weirdly organized - like the pasta sauce and pasta section at the end of the wine aisle (wine and pasta do go together, but in a grocery store?). I would love to see this location expand the local and international offerings, and maybe have some kind of newsletter? It feels like a community hub, and I know they do a lot to help the immigrant community but it wasn't very apparent to me as a customer.

Cooking is a hobby of mine and taking on new challenges is part of what I like. A couple years ago, I decided to take up making beef jerky. While I had a recipe in hand and ready to go - selecting the right cut of meat was another story. I went to Pat's and had a lovely chat with a gentleman that works there who also makes his own jerky. He was able to not only guide me in what cut of meat to go with, but also how it needed to be cut. It was so very helpful. I also come here every year to pick up a prime rib roast for Christmas Eve dinner. They offer an option to reserve this online a few weeks in advance - selecting the pound range and the day you wish to pick it up. The market is a mad house leading up to the holiday - but this feature helps to make it a little easier. And, the quality of the meats is top notch. And with that said - I need to pop over there this afternoon to pick up some house made chorizo to make a queso fundido for a holiday party this weekend. Check them out! You won't regret it.

There is only a small amount of vendors that are in this building. I came by the Portland Public Market House with my husband for lunch on a Thursday afternoon, before noon. But the building here itself doesn't really offer than many eateries and think this place has so much potential. I think there should be more seating though for those patrons that wish to dine in.

He obviously saw our need, but Instead of quickly coming over, he casually went to a station near the carts. He took his sweet time leisurely messing around it before slowly walking to our lane. He then said he was sorry for the wait. This is possibly the fifteen time I've waited too long to check out here. I'll pass on this place and go somewhere with better management. Thank goodness Aldi is here.
