And though we've enjoyed many of their outstanding meat cuts, a variety of local items they carry and their full liquor selections, I've come to Yelp today to sing the praises of their store made smoked salmon salad with salmon supplied from Maine's Duck Trap fisheries. This salad is first of all salmony, appropriately salty, chunky, and filled with tiny bits of red onion and celery and just enough mayo to hold it together. What a great find at this fun to shop at market. I eat it on Triscuits, corn chips, baby carrots, or to be embarrassingly honest...from my finger. I love it when I discover something previously unknown to me. And though I have been eating smoked salmon, lox/Nova since early childhood, I am so happy to have recently found this. Great job Bow Street Market! It's sold in various sized small tubs at $10.99/lb. and well worth this price.

We needed to get something fresh for dinner at the airport and I saw this while searching the area. We were helped by friendly staff at the deli counter who made us a hummus wrap and turkey sandwich to go and I got a pasta salad from their fresh deli salads. I love local markets like this with fresh items and a deli when I travel and I'm so glad we found this. They had my baby's favorite snacks in the toddler section and some delicious grab and go drinks in the cooler as well. They won't have all the things since it's a smaller, boutique market, but quality is here.

Shaw's is not our go-to store for groceries. However, when we can't find certain things at…read moreHannaford, either they are out of stock, or it's an item they don't carry, it's usually Shaw's to the rescue! This Shaw's is one we go to maybe once a month. Based on those experiences, we have never had a bad experience at this Shaws. It's usually very well stocked in all departments, the premade areas are usually the ones that might have some bare shelves. Either they are on top of stocking or they don't sell things as quickly? either way, we have found things we wanted and the dates were never past. They usually carry the hummus we like (Joseph's), they are usually never out of Mt. Dew Zero, and their produce is usually pretty good. The bakery is great for ordering kids bday cakes or cupcakes - they usually have cake toppers in line with current pop culture. They also will give you toppers for free if you buy an ice cream cake! The store is well lit and the music not annoying. This store has less of a "smell" than the the Shaw's in North Deering and is less crowded than the Shaw's in Falmouth. One thing I don't like about the layout is halfway down the aisle splits. The center section is usually chaos with people trying to read signs midway down while turning. The customer service was not notable, expect for the bakery team - they were great. Parking lot is ok, it's shared with other businesses so the entry and exit is usually chaos on the weekend.

Came in to price a camera, to order online. Saw that the store actually had it in stock. Stood at the electronics counter for 10 mins, and nobody came to assist. Found the guy in the aisle, and he made no attempt to help. Didn't even say hello. So, I walked away. Guess I'll spend my $600 elsewhere. Also the plus size clothing selection at this store is HORRENDOUS. It's terrible. All year round, this is where they decide to drop their clearance racks for other clothing departments to make the section appear full. All of the clothes are cheap nasty material that nobody wants, certain things have been there since last fall. It's truly pathetic! Their bathrooms are an absolute dumpster fire. ALL THE TIME. Don't even get me started on their idiotic parking lot and the drivers that park there. None of these customers have any right to even have a drivers licenses. Everybody is arrogant and entitled. I can't even tell you how many times the handicap parking is invaded by non handicap people that don't have any compassion. The only saving grace this store has is that they have the new Alpine Blast Poppi soda in stock and their door greeters are the nicest people in the world. That's it. Literally everything else SUCKS!

It's tremendously clean! It's extremely well stocked! It's an easy to navigate floor plan! The produce is beautiful looking! The cheese area is abundant and beautifully maintained! People shopping here are neighborly to each other! Seriously, it's a very nice store. Sure, I'm one of those people who prefers the segregation of my Nature's Place organic and natural foods into their own area, but they do a solid job at clearly identifying the sections among the aisles that are home to those products. I will admit: I've never been here during the middle of summer, so maybe it is a lot more hectic and chaotic here. But your busy Hannaford during July is the Hannaford on Forest Ave in Portland 24/7/365, so perspective. No, the parking lot isn't the best of the Hannaford parking lots (I'd say Westbrook and Lewiston have those) - mostly because the entrance/exit is a bit constricted; and, inside, there could be more aisles open when cashing out, but I appreciate that the Self Checkouts were all working and moved quickly. All in all, Yarmouth is lucky to have such a nice Hannaford!

Parking - it is a shared lot with a few other businesses and it is a shared driveway - it makes it a bit crowded and hectic. The parking lot can be a challenge to navigate whether you're walking through or driving through it. It seems that someone is always honking at someone. People don't really look carefully, so be on the lookout for reverse lights. The good news about the small lot, is that carriage racks aren't far from wherever you might be and i have NEVER seen a stray cart sitting out in the middle of the lot. The store seems smaller than most I have been in and is very crowded during peak hours, end of day between 5-6pm. I have found the quality of the produce to be great and sourced locally. They were selling Ricker Hill Farms Apples today. Great quality. The bakery and cheese section is where I spend a lot of time while waiting for the deli number to be called. One word LOCAL! Pigs Fly Bread, BIG SKY BREAD!!!! Debbie's Pies, Wicked Whoopie Pies and PINELAND FARMs cheeses!! I could go on and on, but you just need to come and see for yourself. The rest of the aisles and products are typical, until you get to the other side of the store, where there is an Agency Liquor store inside! It's a nice space, plenty of options of wine, spirits, beer and on occasion they have tastings. While they don't have rare/limited release beers, they do have a good selection of craft beer. Staff is pleasant for the most part. They work quickly to move customers through the lines. The only complaint I have is that their customer service desk, isn't really a customer service desk...it's a register and if there isn't enough staff and or they are busy, they close it and only run it as a checkout. Hence the 1 less star, as I really needed stamps, so much for my one stop shopping. I do recommend this Hannaford if you are in the area. Great products and good prices. Don't forget to bring your own bag to avoid the $.05 surcharge.

The inside is honestly too small for the amount of product they sell and is pretty claustrophobic with multiple customers and staff. Not like running into people small but you need to be aware of yourself as you open refrigerator doors and stand in one place debating for excessive amounts of time like me. I used to always get Miyake sushi but it sells out fast/ it's after lunchtime when I go. Lately I got a turkey cheddar sandwich, it was hearty and on good bread but also $13. I usually get a fun drink since they always have new brands and options of things like watermelon water, coconut water, kombucha, seltzer, etc. I highly recommend the pretzel rolls and the ham/cheese croissant in the pastry cabinet, although those are usually sold out too. You can buy fancy chips and ice creams as well as local seafood and produce. It's a nice one stop shop but purchasing ingredients to make a meal is likely a splurge. Treat yourself and also grab a fancy chocolate bar by the register when you pay.
