She designs and does some of the most incredible detailed custom tattoos (quickly too!) and you can tell she really took her time in making them perfect. I've gotten 5 tattoos from her and will never go to another artist again. Her work is perfect. You can see the care and skill in her intricate line work, and her shading is incredible. They are EXTREMELY busy and talented artists who are happy to take the time to speak with people who have planned and are prepared to schedule a day & time for their artist to complete beautiful work. Walk-ins are welcome to come and discuss the work they'd like done; and are occasionally accommodated when an artist is available. The artists and owner of this shop prioritize the patrons who are receiving skilled ink. The artists can't break away from a sanitary station to be receptionists and don't have the time to converse with ill prepared people who call w a bunch of questions and may or may not schedule or keep an appointment. If you call with Q's they will likely suggest you come in to discuss. They are also skilled people who prioritize their own well being and the people they provide for. You're very lucky and fortunate if any artist at Main Street Tattoo painstakingly works with you to ink a permanent piece of art into your skin. Rudest place i have ever dealt with in my 38 years of life. I hope they provided good art because their customer service skills SUCK! I called this place to see if they provided the services of piercings. The guy that answered the phone told me, " We have someone come in to do piercings on Wednesdays." I said just to clarify, I can't come in for a piercing over the weekend, correct?". He yelled into the phone, " If you FUCKING WANT A PIERCING DONE, YOU FUCKING HAVE TO COME IN ON A WEDNESDAY...". Matt is such a cool guy and does great work!! If you go to main street, request him. The other guy with the beard that works there is so rude and acts like your piece is an inconvenience to him. Anytime I would say "no i'd rather it be like this" he would make little comments and start huffing and puffing. For some reason I kept apologizing to him because I felt so uncomfortable. As someone who would be considered "unemployable" (whatever, Dad) due to the number/placement of my tattoos, I'd like to think I have a pretty good idea of how most tattoo shops operate. And I think it's fair to say that this tattoo shop is A1 STEAK SAUCE. It's near impossible to find a place that has good value, friendly artists, cleanliness, honesty, clout, actually caring about customer satisfaction and talent all in one. Lacey managed to work magic on my arm which was covered in scratcher tatts. I thought my arm was too far gone but she turned a disaster into a work of art. The half-sleeve I left with is better than what I had in mind. I already have a second appointment booked with her for another project. Will post pics when we're done. I met 5 of the artists (I think that's all of them ??) and they were all so sweet and down to earth. This is how a tattoo shop should be. this guy is a joke. charges you to draw something up, then he's out of state when you're supposed to come look at it so he tells you to come back a week later. the week goes by I didn't make it and he goes off saying I cost him a bunch of money when there was no specific appointment time, no approved drawing, no price agreed upon.
