It's always a pleasure visit the University of Michigan's Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor,…read moreMichigan. The entire staff in this building are so friendly and supportive. All the ophthalmology doctors and nurses are so knowledgeable about eye care and where to find good eye care products outside their own eye care products and devices.

He wouldn't answer my questions with anything substantial and refused to help me get my test results. He told me to request it from my portal and when I logged into the portal there were no results to print or even reference what he did. I am so disappointed in the care of this facility. I will say the front desk people were very nice and even the nurse that did most of my testing was good and efficient. AFTER the visit was also terrible. They told me I would be dilated for 24 hours and I ended up being dilated for 72 hours and it messed up my work and whole week because I was preparing for an event that week that I couldn't work on because I couldn't see anything up close. I also couldn't drive well and almost had to call work off because the light was so painful. UPDATE: The doctor wouldn't write down my results and told me to get them at the desk which he clearly knew nothing about the process because they wouldn't give them to me at the desk. Then they tell me I can get the results for free online. I submitted a request for my documents on my portal and they said it would be free. Turns out a week after I requested them they're trying to charge me $42 on top of the $95 I already paid. Kellogg and U of M is just a money hungry store where they won't help you. I'm never coming back here.

However, I want to specifically acknowledge a staff member by the name of Aubrey. Not only is she professional and proficient in her role as Surgical Coordinator, I was particularly impressed by how graceful yet efficiently she relays crucial information to patients being scheduled for surgery. She has a kind, warm, and positive demeanor. The overall matter in which she handles her responsibilities greatly helped to reduce my anxiety. Each time I have sat down with Aubrey for the purpose of scheduling, I have received exceptional service. She's definitely an asset to Huron Ophthalmology, P.C.'s team. Happy Client, Susan F.

My doctor said my eyes were getting better so he took me off all of them a day or two after I get off the prescriptions my eyes are back to being bloodshot red and super irritated nothing changed. Would very much recommend anywhere else.

I would not refer my worst enemy to Specialty Eye Institute…read more To begin, Dr. Sinsoli himself, as an opthamologist, is fine. He is simply confined as a surgeon in a multi location, huge corporate practice whose only interest is "MONEY", notcwuality oatirnt care. I started in Ann Arbor at that location for treatment of eye cataracts, but was never told until after a couple of appointments that my surgery was not in Ann Arbor Michigan, but in Jackson, 90 minute drive from my house. The first day of surgery, I was told the surgical center in Jackson had 42 cataract surgeries that day, I felt like a hunk of meat on a conveyor belt. Took 3.5 hours for my surgery to be completed. The staff put 8 drops in my eye, 5 times waiting and waiting and waiting for surgery. The moment I came out of anesthesia they had me sit up, put my legs over the bed and get into a wheel chair. The staff was wheeling me out to my car 5 minutes after I woke up, with a drink in my hands. They needed the bed for the rest of the meat on the conveyor belt. Second eye was done 5 weeks later, sad that I had to wait that long for second cataract surgery. Three days after surgery, my recently repaired eye and eye lid got infected, warm and swollen. I sent a note over the patient portal and the office called me to tell me to seek treatment with my optometrist, who would handle any issues from there on out. Dr. Sinsoli would not see me. I treated with my optometrist for 2 weeks before they finally gave up, with little improvement of my infection and sent me to a totally different opthamologist for treatment. He treated me with a steroid injection into my infected eyelid which helped somewhat along with oral antibiotics, steroid drops, warm compresses and antibiotic ointments. Two months later, the infection which never totally went away came back, a call to Dr. Sinsoli's office proved useless, they could not see me for two months. I was told to seek treatment elsewhere and bring my treatment notes to my visit, 2 months away. Back to a different opthamologist who treated me again. Finally, after 2 months, saw Dr. Sinsoli who apologized profusely and gave ne a second steroid injection into my affected eyelid. Again, Specialty Eye Instiute is all about Money, not patient care. Five months (post surgery), my eye is getting back to normal. Do not, and I mean Do not seek treatment from Specialty Eye Institute. Find an office that is caring and puts your health and well being paramont over Money. Not one of my maby, maby friends, who had cataract surgery ever had to live through my nightmare.

Not even a full month after surgery, I can see as clear (if not clearer) than with contacts/glasses before. And best of all, none of the dreaded side effects of PRK - no glare, halos, dry eyes! I know that it varies from patient to patient how one reacts to any medical procedure. But Dr. Mian not only gave me great results, but was extremely patient talking me through the process before, during, and after to ensure I was comfortable every step of the way and knew what to expect. The staff at the office is top notch and so kind - they even stayed late the day of my surgery when I was worried and wanted to go back and have my one eye checked. He's also done cataract surgery for my grandma and my aunt, both very successful as well. If you're looking for a well-rounded eye expert for any type of procedure, I urge you to go see Dr. Mian - he is worth every penny!

I highly recommend Dr. Mian and the Kellogg Eye Institute.
