I would always avoid this place...like 5-6 years ago...when I first ate Chinese food in Linden, NJ. It was from here...and I just remember all of us at CVS ordering it and then boycotting it. It's on the way home now that I take the train to work instead of drive, and I'll swing by when I need soup or broccoli. Service is cool...$10 minimum on cards...if you don't live near Linden Garden or Ho Lee Wok, but you live in this town, go with Main Moon if it's within walking distance. Just ordered lunch from here and it was ABSOLUTELY horrible! Ordered Chicken w/broccoli over fired rice. My co worker ordered the same but with white rice. Both bowls were DRENCHED in oil and SALTY behind words. We called back to complain and the owner tells us, you have to order stating less oil??? Additionally, stated no one else complain??? My co worker replied you are killing customers with all of that Oil & Salt!!!!! Seriously, I cant believe not even an I'm sorry. Not to mention when delivery guy came to drop off, he kept quoting the incorrect amount owed? I looked at receipt on bag and said excuse me, but the amount is much less than that... INSANE!! This spot was the only place open until 11:20PM and I'm a vegetarian. I didn't see sesame tofu on the menu but I called and asked if they had it. I asked for the tofu to be extra crispy and when I received it the tofu didn't taste good at all. The rice was good though. I just wouldn't recommend ordering tofu. Stopped in here on a whim during the height of covid, when the Chinese restaurants began opening back up. They were absolutely delicious!!! Plus the servings were very generous. I asked for extra chicken and I received a lot of extra chicken. I was pleasantly surprised. Since than I have ordered a few times and had it delivered to my home. They have never disappointed me. First off, this neighborhood is rough. There is only street parking, and I watched a LOT of people walk by and take a peek through the windows of my car. Just consider that if you don't drive a beater. Inside, this place is typical. I saw them throw some egg rolls directly from a cardboard box into the fryer and put the cardboard back into the fridge. Pretty grimey, but about what you can expect. The egg roll itself wasn't bad. The crab rangoon didn't have enough filling, and the veg lo mein had picked up a fishy taste somewhere. The ribs were meaty, but not very flavorful. Scallion pancakes were thin and oily, and I thought the sauce was too sweet, but the wife liked it. General tsaos was actually pretty good- which is a shame because that is my go-to and I will never come back here. If you have another option for Chinese, take it. read more

I decided to stop by here for some fried rice and won ton soup. I was disappointed. The rice was hard and all it had was onions, rice, and pork. I am use to the sprouts and peas/carrots in the rice. We've all eaten at a typical corner Chinese joints --- and this is one of them, nothing special. Same menu, same lunch specials with soda & egg roll and exact same food. I work in the area for past 10 years so I have eaten here many times & most of the lunch specials. I do like anything dish they make the garlic sauce as their garlic sauce is unique & delicious. The seating area, space & location is what separate this Chinese place from others. It's right on the wood avenue & you can sit at the table to eat while watching wood avenue traffic on the road thru glass window. Warning the food is OK, but they charge for condiment packages for example soy sauce , duck sauce etc. $1 for each pack .i went to pick u $38 take out order & when I asked for condiments they tacked on $1 for each so my bill was $47. When I asked why did my bill go up $12 they said it's for the soy sauce, duck sauce etc . I told them to keep it and cxcled the entire order & NEVER ordered from their again. We moved to Linden about a year ago, and this has become our go-to chinese food place. It's your classic, storefront, take-out style restaurant, with a couple of seats. I used to love this place, but their food is quickly going downhill. I order the bbq boneless ribs and it was ALL fatty. ugh! I was so digusted. And then I order the bourbon chicken and I've NEVER seen bourbon chicken look like that. It was big chunks of dried up chicken (hard at that) with no sauce on it at all. The rice wasn't good either. I wouldn't recommend this place or ever eat here again. They have horrible costumer service. They are rude, tried cheating me out of money by charging my credit card twice. While in the restaurant disputing the charges it was freezing. The costumers dining in kept complaining about how cold it was and they did nothing. Just ignored them. This is my favorite Chinese place in Linden. My parents would always order from Linden Garden, which I don't understand because we live so close to here. Finally I convinced them to order from main moon instead and they were very satisfied. The sautéed string beans are excellent. Shrimp rolls are hot, crispy and fresh! Very fast delivery and excellent customer service. The menu even has coupons for free items with x amount of purchase. There's a small parking lot in back which people might miss if not looking for it. read more
