My fiancé and I had a Chinese food and movie night. He ordered the General Tso's chicken combo platter, and I got the Kung Pao chicken. His meal was excellent and he really enjoyed it. My Kung Pao chicken, however, had a slightly bitter taste, and I couldn't finish it. The egg roll and rice were both great. The portions were well-balanced, not overloaded with rice. The lo mein noodles were also very good, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. There's no dine-in option, but pickup was quick and the area was well-lit. It's a cash-only spot, but they have an ATM inside if you need it. Overall, it's a solid takeout choice. Every restaurant has one dish that misses the mark, and here it's the Kung Pao chicken, so keep that in mind. read more

Dragon Palace - Chinese Near Me - Rahway, New Jersey

Casual take out Chinese with poor parking and a storefront that shows its time. Food preparation was quick. Food is fresh and delicious. My order is general tso chicken. As show in the attached photos, the chicken fills up the side of the container and is not layered over rice like some places do to cut costs. The portion is generous and I'm sure they just barely closed the lid. The chicken is cooked perfectly, lightly battered, fried to a crispy exterior and moist interior, I'm guessing dark meat which I prefer anyway. The sauce is tasty in this americanized version. The broccoli is fresh and healthy and steamed perfectly. The fried rice is excellent with pork, bean sprouts, green onions, and yellow onions. This rice was cooked expertly with wok hei, which is char, giving the rice a undertone of smoke. I'd pair this rice against that of upscale restaurants. Pork in the rice is abundant. Exerything in this order was fresh and cooked perfectly. My one negative is that general tso is supposed to have szechaun peppers and have heat, but this was sweet which is on par for most americanized Chinese eateries in the tri state area. As a visitor, I'm saddened I don't live closer to here as I would visit frequently. I do cook Chinese cuisine at home and can appreciate the technique and flavor in this order. Overall, excellent! Edit. This is now my third time coming here. The quality is consistently excellent. As I enjoy my lunch again I can taste that the oil use is fresh and clean. Chinese has been my favorite cuisine since I was a child. For americanize szechuan, this is the BEST takeout I've had. I live in ny and come to this area twice a year for work. I look forward to coming here exclusively every trip. Last year I was disappointed to learn they were closed on the day I came (monday). If I lived local, I'd be a regular for sure! read more

Food quality is great! I would honestly give them a 9/10 rating. Things that can be better is their Chicken wings and their egg rolls. Needs to be more seasoned and a little more crispy. But everything else is top notch! read more

The BEST Chinese food around! Super fresh, good portions. Everything I've ever had is delicious- wonton soup, general Tsao chicken, sesame chicken, lomain, dumplings etc. Beads up- it is cash only and the parking situation out front sucks so park on the side street. read more

Reliably good take out Chinese. Hunan Chicken and Moo Goo Gai Pan are great. Always fresh, fast, and hot. Cash only!

The absolute worst service. They do not take orders properly on the phone. I picked up my order and walked home in the pouring rain only to find out half of the order was missing and the other half was wrong. I called them and told them to deliver the rest because I was not walking all the way back there in the rain and they refused to do so. I walked back reluctantly and the missing items was STILL WRONG. Never again and to top it off the food was mediocre at best. I cannot believe these people are in business. As i was waiting for my order someone else came in and also said their order was wrong. TERRIBLE read more

Pros: Their rice is one of the best Chinese food rice I've had. Which is honestly why they earned 3 stars. The prices are fair. Cons: Parking is horrible. So be prepared to either park around the corner or if you're lucky you might be able to grab one of the few spots in front of the store. One of my pet peeves is when people don't clean their shrimps so I can't order anything with shrimp from here. Not only are the shrimps not cleaned, but they only put 1-2 inside of the shrimp rolls. I've also heard they were stingy with their spicy red pepper flake sauce. Their chicken wings are kind of scrawny and dry. Despite these comments this place is very popular and busy on the weekends. I will be visiting here in the future, but avoiding anything with shrimp. I'm not sure if they offer delivery because I've always done pick up. Perhaps the biggest tip is that's they are CASH ONLY, so stop by the atm before heading over. read more

I've been going here since I moved to Rahway. I've tried other Chinese spots but this is my overall favorite. They do not deliver and as lazy as I am I'll pick up my food before I order from a place that has delivery which says a lot. No ambience but that's fine with me. read more

Only place I get my Chinese food from!!!! Their hot and sour soup is soooo gooooood! I love their fried crab sticks, fried rice and Lo mein! Singapore noodles are good too! Everything is good! read more

Food was disgusting service was terrible. But there was one exceptionally nice waitress but overall atmosphere was subpar

So good. I hate Chinese food. I never get it. But last night I was craving some general tso's and fried rice so I browsed a few places before ultimately deciding on this place. My food was ready in 15 mins. I paid less than $10 for a combo meal that included an egg roll. I was very pleased with my meal. I was full but kept eating it was so good. Definitely hit the spot! You can not enter the restaurant there is plexiglass and a drawer to get your food and pay. read more

Best Chinese in town!!!! I have tried many different restaurants and this restaurant got the best tasting food thus far!!! Love it

Some of the best Chinese food I've had in Jersey! I ordered Chicken Egg Foo Young combination, a quart of wonton soup, Shrimp Toast appetizer and a pint of Roast Pork lo Mein. I've never seen Egg foo young served with gravy directly on it but it was DELICIOUS! Came with an egg roll - crispy and tasty! The shrimp toast is sadly subpar but OMG the roast pork lo mein was FANTASTIC definitely some of the best I've ever had! Wonton soup was also bangin! I included pics of the most updated menu too! I WILL be trying more items soon! read more

Egg roll was small, but tasted good. Ribs had no sauce on them and were a bit dry- strange cuts too. I'd skip those. Dumplings had too much wrapper and the meat inside wasn't well spiced. The dipping sauce came in a thimble, and was also not great. Overall, appetizers were disappointing. Good news is, the main dishes were pretty good. The pork lo mein was excellent- maybe some of the best I've had. General tsaos pieces were small, so lots of crunch and good sauce. Wife went chicken with garlic sauce, and minus an excessive amount of mushrooms she was happy. CASH ONLY, and they have an ATM in store, but if you want to save the service charge go to your bank before you go here. read more

You wouldn't know it to look at the place but the food is served all day long and everything is fresh. They are very friendly and you get a meal for your buck. I love their fried chicken and the wonton is top choice. Try the fried crab sticks. A few steps from the train station. read more

No complaints other than the cash only aspect but overall decent Chinese spot. Maybe a little light handed with salt on something's sometimes but for the most part hits the spot! read more

I decided to give this place a try again, but opted for something else. I ordered pan fried dumplings and a egg roll. The dumplings were so thick, nothing but flour with a dot of meat. I had to soak it with the side soy sauce to eat it. My egg roll wasnt under cooked like last time. I really think people go here just because of convenience. Their food needs some help. read more

gooey " fried " chicken wings , uncooked French fries ! Don't waste your time ! Food WAS DISGUSTING!

Lol ok i've never left a review on anything but I really needed to on this. It's almost comical how bad this Chinese is like if less than one star was a thing i would leave that instead. Go make your own Chinese food because that would honestly taste better than that. I'm actually about to go back right now and ask for my money back. Got the kung po chicken and steamed dumplings. read more

I tried 3 times i will never return .The final straw was today.I ordered 3 items that came to 10.50(2 X 2.50 plus 1X 5.50) and i was told my order came to 15 dollars, when i looked shocked he pointed to the sign saying 7 percent sales tax then told me there is a 50 cent surcharge per item for carry out (ITS A CARRYOUT RESTAURANT THERE ARE NO TABLES !!!!) then he said it was additional city tax,so i went to leave. and he began bargaining his way down from 15 to 12 in increments and i finally paid 12 bucks then left ( for the record it was supposed to be 11.23)the attempt at fraud was so blatant ive notified the correct people .on top of that my order was wrong and ive decided to not go there ever again . read more

worst!!!!!! worst!!!! worst!!!!!! do not ever go or order your food from here. i ordered veg fried rice and steamed broccoli. both were full of ants and dead insects. i realized after eating some of it. when went back with complaint and with the container that has food to show it to them, they made very good story saying that they bought broccoli from indian grocery store. they blamed grocery store for bad broccoli, as if they have no responsibility to buy a fresh or even wash the vegetables. i want to give negative stars but can't. please be aware!!!!!! i am at jfk hospital with stomachache and vomiting. read more
