Terrible. I went to main event around 3:30pm Sunday, I was trying to go bowling but they said 1-2 hours. I was okay with the wait and gave them my name and number to be on the waitlist. Put $50 in my card to play some arcades with my kids and two hours later the bowling was still not ready. The arcade games continuously took my credit when the games were broken. A handful of games were missing balls to play the games. A lot of lights on the games were on because it wasn't working. Not many choices to play at all. I got a text around 7:30PM saying the bowling lane was available. 4 HOURS LATER. Pretty ridiculous. Disappointed. read more

Took my kids to a friend's birthday party. This was not our first time there, but kids always had a lot of fun. They have bowling alley, game arcade, laser tag arena and other kids friendly games. They sell food if you are hungry, good ambiance for parents to hang out while kids have fun too! Highly recommend this place for all parents who need birthday party ideas! read more

I am appalled at the level of service! I stood at the counter for 5 minutes and no one came to assist. I went over to the head customer service desk and was told to go to the bar and ask to be seated. I was angry! I went over to the bartender and he didn't acknowledge I was even standing there! Every machine was out of service. I spoke to an employee about the situation because I thought my card was the problem, but they told me their team was understaffed and maintenance was hard to get out there. This past weekend, my husband and I hosted my daughter's 10th birthday at Main Event Entertainment. We were promptly greeted by our party host, Jayla. She introduced herself and explained her role and the timeline of events for the afternoon. Anytime I had a question, Jayla was always there to assist. Our party of 14 bowled, played laser tag and visited the arcade. We also had a private party room that was nice and clean. The general manager, Joshua, even stopped by to check in on us. Communication and customer service were both top notch! My daughter really enjoyed her birthday. I can't say enough positive things about this place. We'll definitely be back!! read more

Wow, the reviews on this place are REALLY low. I'm still trying to figure out why, and wish I could pinpoint something on my two trips here that would echo the rest of the reviews. This place sits off Exit 111 on 85, about a half mile off the exit. It's certainly a newer facility with plenty of parking. I've been here twice now, both for Networking events (one with Explore Gwinnett and the other for the Client Holiday Party that they throw). Main Event is very much a Stars & Strikes type of place, with similar options but more upscale. They have a ropes course above the arcade area, two floor lazer tag arena, around 12-14 bowling lanes, large arcade area with ticket redemption for prizes, 4-5 pool tables, a bar in the center, a restaurant and a large room for meetings. Pricing is a little more than your normal Stars & Strikes, from what I've seen. The entire place is very clean, and they have some unique arcade games (I like the baseball game where you can hit a ball with a lever). I haven't experienced any bad customer service during my two trips, and did enjoy myself. The two floor lazer tag is certainly my favorite part. The only thing I'd really give a star knock on is the food and pricing, although they had some AMAZING corn bread here during one of my networking events. But, I guess these days, you can expect to pay ~$40-$60 to do simple entertaining with the family. I feel like I spend a minimum of $40 when I take my son to do anything as it is, so I guess cost is somewhat comparable to other places. Either way, there is something fun for everybody and they do provide gaming specials. I'd reach out to Jennifer at this location, who handles their sales and bookings. Many of the games just take points off your card and dont work. This place was super nice when I moved here a couple of years ago. Now the arcade is terrible. More games that Dont work than work. We love this place. We been here like 4 times in 4 months. It's family friendly. It's affordable and it's fun for everyone. If your going with a group it's cool because if you don't wanna play games you can go right upstairs to the movies and chill while the rest of your party is at main event. Their chicken wings were really good. My daughter loves their little cotton candy drink. We got a little game card to play unlimited games for like $12. You can bowl, laser tag, play the arcade games. Whatever! The customer service was l little lacking. The front desk guy seemed to be over it and just rushing us to pick something. But he could have suggested things to help us choose, as we don't work there and don't know the best options. But other than that it's a cool little spot for the weekends. read more

Terrible all the way around. Went to bowl and the first lane was broken (the machine that picks the pins up was broken) so they moved us to another lane, which was also broken. Moved to the 3rd lane, a ball was stuck and no one was able to get it removed so they moved us again. 4th lane had no lights where the pins are so you were bowling into darkness with no way to see the pins. They offered to move the group again and try a 5th lane but we had enough. They gave us cards for the arcade games to make up for the trouble but many games were not working. The only staff working was teenagers who could do nothing as far as maintenance. For a place whose business is based on games that require regular maintenance to have so many games not working is very disappointing. Won't be back. read more

The wings are decent but Wayyyy overpriced. They charge $17 for 6 small wings-not full wings-and fries. We did the $30 game card with the food but that seemed to run out really quickly. Not sure if they have a time option but price for the points on the fun games are high and drains the card fast. The bowling was fun but the food was horrible! We got a supreme pizza and 2 baskets of fish and chips as well as skillet Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese never came, I asked and they told me cause it was out. But I said it comes with a salad, they said they could give me something else but they would charge me for it and I also would have to pay for the salad. I said why should I have to pay for a salad when it was supposed to come with the food. Overall, Bad food and not so good customer service. They only took the food they didn't bring out off the bill. The pizza was mostly bubbles so it hardly had any toppings on it. My kids always finish the fries, but not today. The oil was old so they don't taste very good... *** Update*** After we got back home I have changed my rating to only 1 star. The whole reason I enjoy eating out is so I don't have to cook and then clean the kitchen at home. But when we got home, even after paying for our meals, I now have to make dinner. To start, the employee that was supposed to be at the service desk kept running back and forth from playing bowling with his friends and not doing much to help out with the fact that our lane was broken for 40 minutes. We told our lane to be fixed 4 times and our time kept running while it was broken. Our lane stayed broken and it was until the 5th time that they thought of the idea to switch our lane. This place was zoo when we were here. We got here around 8:30p on Nee Years Eve. $11 unlimited games. It was so hard playing because some kids just kept swiping and swiping at the same game. You couldn't get a table, the place was so packed. And when we did snag a table, we waited over an hour for a pizza and chicken tenders. Ridiculous. It took 30 minutes for someone to even bus our table, so we sat there with the previous groups trash on the table. We had to ask 4 people before we got our table cleaned. I saw 2 waitresses in our area, and no management on the dining floor checking up on things. Worst experience ever. Very poorly managed location. Very under staffed. I wouldn't recommend coming here during unlimited play specials, especially if it's crowded. You might have a better experience just bowling, but coming for games and food was no bueno! On the positive side, the wait staff was well-mannered and polite. Unfortunately, they were simply overwhelmed tonight. We came here on a Tuesday around 3. Kids were out for winter break. We wanted to eat and play some games. Every table says wait to be seated by hostess. Well there wasn't a hostess. Went up to the lady at the register for bowling and asked her how to get a table. She just said ask the bartender. So we went to the bar and there was no bartender. She finally came out from behind the kitchen and we got seated. This waitress/bartender was the best experience we had with the whole visit. She sat us and took our order and made sure we had everything we needed and even refilled drinks 3 times. The food is ok. Not great but not terrible. Wouldn't eat here again. We got the crowd pleaser which was a cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, basket of fries, Mac n cheese and a side salad. They were out of salads so they gave us an extra Mac n cheese. And they were out of honey mustard for the chicken tenders. Like I said it was ok but definitely not great. So after we eat we want to take the kids to play games. So we buy the $100 card which gas 675 credits. It's actually a lot once you start playing. But the first 4 games we tried to play all took our credits and didn't work. 4 different ones. After the first 2 times of telling a manager we just gave up. Because so many games were not working and they had no sign up to tell you which ones work and which ones don't. I would say almost 10-20 different games didn't work if not more. I stopped trying some that looked like they might not work, like if some of the lights were out. I went here for my bday and bought game card for me, my gf, and sister. we went to okay the games and the games kept taking out points but not letting us play. we told the staff and they put the points back but it just happened on pretty much every single game. at that point I just asked for a refund bc it's my birthday and I still wanted to enjoy the day. They refused to give me a refund. So now I have $70 worth of arcade point w games that do not work. i could ask them to put the points back on every single time but 1. why would I do that? 2. there's barely any games that work at all. We took our son here so a fun day. A lot of the arcade games don't work and you loose your tokens. The bathrooms are so so bad. Toilet paper all over floors and so messy . All the toilet paper holders in the stalls were broken open and the actual rolls of paper we're on the floor. Come one Main Event. We pay a lot to come here and you could do way better.
