Went for a staff celebration. It was pretty cool. I love how spacious it as and how the set up is. We were in the event space and had it catered. I must say they have some pretty amazing food. We had a variety of options. One table was set up as a full taco bar. They had steak and chicken for the meet options and a plethora of sides including guacamole, sour cream, and pic de gallo. You could also do chips or a soft shell. The second table had fresh baked salmon, chicken, and beef for the meet along with mashed potatoes, salad, mac and cheese and much more for sides. The third table was a dessert and drink station. Before eating, we played an hour long game of bowling. It was fun. The shoes I had were pretty worn, so needless to say I didn't put them on to bowl, so there's that experience. Also, I was unable to use the game card we had. If you don't use it the day of purchase, you lose it, so that was money wasted. read more

I have been to Main Event a couple of times before, and it just always fun. Main Event is probably the best bowling place to go to in Memphis. A big space for everyone to hangout at. A lot of bowling lane, fun games to play, and a nice selection of foods to choose from. When I went here on February 3rd, 2024 I decided to get the Lava Burger, and I was not disappointed. The melting queso, cheddar cheese, and onion just work so well together. I highly recommend getting it if you hungry during your time bowling. read more

We came here in the middle of a weekday while school is in (our kids are homeschooled) to play some games for my daughter's 14th birthday today. We tried to go eat some appetizers at the little restaurant (at my daughter's request). We waited and waited go get service and the folks working there behaved as if we didn't exist. The worst part is - this is the second time this very same thing has happened. What are we supposed to do to be acknowledged? Why is it ok for your staff to completely ignore customers? Why couldn't someone have at least walked over to us and told us if we could seat ourselves (the sign says wait for host) or that the kitchen wasn't open or something? We are a family of 6. I can't give this place any stars. Employees in the pay booth for bowling were more concerned with chatting with each other than service. We were told that it would be 1 1/2 hours before a lane was ready so we paid for a game card which we got to play for only 15 minutes before we were called to our lane. Obviously we were told that so we would buy a more expensive card. The food was horrible and service in the dining area was lack luster. We had 5 adults and a baby. Appetizers were brought out with a meal missing dipping sauces. Pretzels were overcooked. Sliders were hockey pucks. Our kids meal was brought out only after we ask our waitress about it and after the adults had all ate. Keep your money in your pocket and go somewhere else! read more

Aye!!!! Main Event is my spot. Me and my wife go bowling on Sunday's and always grab wings and drinks. S/o to the bartenders we've had because they were both dope. Them drinks be strong as hell too. We scheduled a corporate team bonding experience at the Main Event in Memphis. 5 of our group had their cars broken into. We prepaid for the Pizza dinner. We did get pizza then after the pizza was gone they brought the salads then about 10 minutes later they brought the dressing for the salads. It completely ruined the evening for the group and the management failed to respond to the issues. Won't be going back ever! read more

We had a great time here! We went during the weekend so we bought unlimited bowling and laser tag passes. Laser tag was really fun and we had no issues playing additional games of bowling after ours ended. The food was good too, drinks were just okay. Very spacious and the arcade area was nice. 7.99 bowling does not include the cost of shoes so with three people we paid s little over 40 bucks. Forty minutes in and the game said.see counter to add more time So the unlimited means getting in a long line every 40 odd minutes to continue. Not worth the money. read more

This place is such a cool idea and has so many things to do: laser tag, bowling, billiards, arcade, and a rope climb. The service here is always like they're short on staff. You're always waiting for something and they take forever to serve you while you're bowling! They have some decent weekly deals, but they are overpriced all around. Bowling shoes are almost $5 to rent. Food is expensive, but tastes decent. They have $10-20 deals for games but can't even get tickets for anything! Why have daily deals if nobody can get tickets. Arcade has sooo many games, but the basketballs kept getting stuck, wasn't keeping score correctly, skeeball only gave me one ball at a time then said game over, and it was so hard to swipe card cause the things were broken. Fun thing to do if you're willing to lose money and points. Same machines were broken as the last time I came. read more

Main Event was a bit Pricy. It was about $35ish dollars per adult for unlimited laser tag, bowling, and the elevated obstacle course. The food was average. (Frozen foods served up for a premium price.) Mixed Drinks were really weak and watered down. Overall, we had fun and i'm glad we went but it's probably a one & done experience for me. read more

The General Manager Joseph reached out after all had taken place and sincerely apologize for the actions of his staff, he offered multiple ways to accommodate our group. Although we had already transferred the party to another location I really appreciate him calling to make amends. My 10 year old and I landed from out of town and came here based upon a recommendation from a person at the airport. My son's eyes lit up when we arrived with the expectations of a great time. However, most of the games didn't work, a majority of the staff needed to be trained in customer service, and no directions were provided on how to get passes for services purchased. It ended up a life lesson of learning to turn lemons into lemonade. The pizza we ordered from the restaurant ended up w being the highlight of the visit. Poor customer service took my appointment for an interview but they cancel with no notice or warning, nor apology, they would not even go to the length to tell me themselves, they told me thru a third party (security guard, way more hospitality with that gent). I've worked in customer service for over 10 years (food and beverage industry) and the service here was absolutely horrible. They're either understaffed or undertrained. It took forever for our server to even get to us and the place wasn't busy whatsoever. She got our drink orders wrong twice and then waited around for us to write down the tip on the receipt. It was extremely unprofessional, and while I understand getting orders wrong or being in the weeds, this was pure laziness. She had no sense of urgency. However, the food was pretty good. My family has been in here for an 1 hour and a half walking in circles looking for operating machinery. The lines are too long for anything! Gaming is pretty typical for these types of places, and was as expected. Do not come hungry as the service is non existent. I see staff roaming around, but none seemed interested in our drink or food order. I understand that the pandemic has left some things to be desired, but there were literally 3 people standing by the register behind the bar. Unacceptable from a restaurant type offering. Do not go to Main Event. Half of the gaming machines don't work but will take your credits off your card. The bowling lanes mess up and it takes them 20 minutes to fix and that takes 20 minutes off your time. Also while bowling, they will have large groups of kids on each side. Choose when you visit based on the customer type. We came on Sunday afternoon when a dozen birthday parties were going on. Busy, loud, a bit messy and crowded, but I notice every party has one to two staff members helping serve and coordinate. That isn't cheap and suggests management understand that parents need the help. We had a bad experience almost a whole year ago. It was promised that we would get our money back and all we've got is the run around. We keep getting blocked or screened and no one wants to help us get the money back that we were promised. We're a high school, we took our senior trip there. The money we get back will go to one of those seniors for college. read more

Let me review my visit from start to end. So I went with some of my relatives on a Saturday afternoon and had to wait outside due to them being at capacity. 10 minutes wasn't a problem. Game play was satisfactory, though not enjoyable because other patrons were walking around not wearing masks and weren't being told to put them on. Even overlooking all of this, the eatery was the worst part. Due to a lack of proper management, the line took forever to move forward and an employee from the kitchen suggested the patrons were the issue for not dispersing... we were all in line. There were barely any clean tables to eat at. I only give them 1 star because that's the minimum you have to give on Yelp. read more
