Dave & Buster's hosted my community for a celebration with over 1,000 people. We had booked their whole place. They were very accommodating and nice. Their service was great. They offer great deals for large parties, and the atmosphere was family friendly. There were slight issues with the games because some were not working as they were supposed to. However, overall experience was great. I would highly recommend Dave & Buster's to anyone looking for a place to host large events. read more

I went in on a Saturday with two kids and their dad. Service was so so slow. And at first everyone acted as if they hated their job. We sat at our table for food service around 3:30. We didn't get our food in until 410 and that's when a server finally came around. I want to give a compliment to the blonde woman with glasses who finally acknowledged me and asked if I needed service. You sent your BEST server and for that I am grateful. I can't remember my name but he was awesome. Our food came out quick and hot and he made sure we had everything we needed. He was so kind. Thank you! As for the ambiance again everyone else looked miserable except for the children running around. The bathrooms were a bit gross but the food was so so good. We had a good time celebrating with the kiddos. It's a nice size establishment and a great addition to the city of Memphis. Of course, the highlight of the visit here was the food for me. They have a variety of things that you can choose from that kid and adult friendly and might I add they have healthy options as well. We started out with the nachos. They were a shareable size. They are loaded with chicken, queso cheese, black beans and other ingredients. We also had traditional and boneless wings. For my entree, I had the Salmon dish with mash potatoes and asparagus. Everything taste delightful. The price point is also good. The only reason I am giving a 4 star is because the lack of staff. It took nearly 30 minutes to get water and our order taken. The server was great and of course it wasn't her fault. Dave and Busters just has to be mindful that it's graduation/summer season and they have an increase of groups that will be popping in. read more

First time coming to Dave & Buster's was on August 26, 2023. What can I say you will be amaze with the bunch of games they have. Me and my friend spent about three hours just trying out different games Dave & Buster's have to offer. What cool is that you can trade your ticket points for an appetizer, entries, and dessert; of course we took full advantage of that. When we went to the food area it took a little bit for our waiter to serve us, and the foods took a while to get. The foods was so good it was kinda hard to complain. We got the truffle fries, and double pepperoni flatbread for the appetizer, while I got the mushroom stout burger as my entries. The truffle fries was so freaking good and the double pepperoni flatbread pretty much almost made me full. The mushroom stout burger was cooked really well and couldn't wait to bite more into it when I'm not full. read more

The food was delicious. Service was not so great! Our waitress was under the influence (high) she wasn't the only waitress who was high as well. Anywho she didn't return to our table. We had to go to the host station and get what we needed and ask another waitress for our ticket. That's when our host showed back up and apologized and requested a tip. We know now my family and I won't eat there again. Also they need to check the kiosk machine because I paid for the unlimited package and didn't get a receipt so we could use it to eat because it goes with the unlimited package and the waitress informed us they don't have a customer service or anybody that could check and get the receipt because everyone there was "just a host and couldn't help". It was a mess but lucky the kids had a great time. We went this past Sunday. I recommend going to have a good time but I wouldn't eat there just from my first experience eating there. read more

Their services are TERRIBLE. Slow bartenders. Slow table services. The bartenders will disappear for 20-30 minutes at a time while you're waiting on a lemonade. Their bartenders do not know how to actually run a bar at all. I've had better service at Chuck E Cheese's. 33 mins now and still no drinks and still haven't been able to order food! I have to drive 45 mins every time the kids want to come and play and the service here is absolutely the worst. The waitresses are super nice but Since this place first open it just keeps going down. I spend a lot of money here having a family of 7 and it's got to change. We use to come here when it first open atleast once a week but as the service gets worse and the prices increase our visits have decreased. We were gonna go to Dave & Busters tonight (New Year's Eve) because we didn't have a lot of options with our 20 year old son. The website showed they had an 21+ event scheduled for 9 pm, so I thought we were okay showing up at 6 pm to eat and play some games. Currently they have a great deal if you sign up for half price food which we decided to take advantage of. Service was extremely slow even though the place was essentially empty at noon on a Sunday. If you're ready to eat and are hungry this isn't the place to come. Upon questioning the long wait turns out the sever never submitted the order The music is so loud in here essentialy impossible to possible to have a conversation with anyone even your server. You are forced to just point to what you want on the menu. Tons of games and TVs. It should also be said the place is very clean, if you told me they open a few weeks ago I would believe you so big shout out to them for that!! When the food finally arrived it was ok. As an adult nearly 60 years old it is a bit over stimulating to me. But it's not supposed to be a quiet diner so I get it. I came here because they show the UFC fights and I wanted to watch the fight while I was in town for the weekend. I had a steak salad and it was great but the real winner was the chocolate cake with ice cream. Worst service ever. I arrive today with a party of six and the waitress that attends us acts like she doesn't want to be there to begin with. We order our food and don't get the drinks till about 30 minutes later followed by some of food a few minute later. The waitress only came and checked in on us once even tho we tried getting her attention. By the time it comes to pay they try to add a mandatory gratuity saying we are a party of 7. I explain we are not and they say they will fix the issue but by the time it's time to pay they are still charging me 20%. I try and explain to the lady we are not 7 people and she says she knows but tip is automatically charged whenever ANYONE pays. After explaining to her multiple times that's not how that works I choose to tip based off service she finally called a manager over. We split the check and the other person with me got charged automatic 20% without them noticing. If you dine here make sure you pay attention right before you pay cause she showed me total flips the machine around right before paying she clicked her own tip suggestion. Me and BF went to D&B's for date night, May 17. He shoots pool, so we were really excited to see they pool tables. That was the only good thing that happened. First, we were seated away from all the other customers, in a somewhat isolated area (not much traffic). We initially thought this was cool, since we were on a date and it'd be a bit quieter. It was quieter, it was so quiet, it seems we were forgotten. We placed our drink order and they never came. The waiter came back and seemed shocked that we hadn't been brought the drinks. We put in our appetizer and dinner order. NEITHER of which came. Because we're chatting away, we didn't realize how much time had past. I got up and was looking for the waiter, found him and was like, where's the drinks, the food, something. Again, he's shocked that we have nothing. More time passes and he brings food...NOT OURS! I'm like really. He blames it on the kitchen staff. I would be inclined to be more patient and understanding with the mishaps if it was a busy night....IT WASN'T. He left again, on the hunt for our food. Mind you...we still have NO drinks!!! We're starving and we both agreed to just leave! It was just ridiculous service!!! DO BETTER!!! read more

Very disappointed with my most recent visit. I made a reservation for my party of 8 people. We came in and sat for 30 minutes with no service so we stopped the manager who finally took our drink orders. We waited another 30 minutes with no drinks. We walked up to the bar and they said they were making our drinks right now. Another 25 minutes go by, we go back up the the bar for them to tell us they were out of blue moon and my friend ordered a Coors when she tasted it, it tasted NOTHING like coors. A fun place to play. A horrible place to attempt to eat. My kids and I played for an hour and then were famished. My son went to the front desk to ask whether we sat ourselves or waited for someone to seat us. The front desk told my son that the customer seats themselves in the dining room. When we headed back to a seat, a waitress yelled over to us that we were not allowed to sit ourselves and that we had to wait at the hostess stand. We had been playing this game of "what do we do" for about 15 minutes and not one person had been standing over at the host station to seat people. So we headed over to the host station and waited. And waited. The restaurant was not full. Tables were not clean. And not one person came over...looked over.....breathed our way. In all honesty this probably saved us some really horrible food and bad service based on what we were witnessing. We stood at this station for a long time and then finally left. Every time we have attempted to eat in this establishment over the past 5 years, this exact same type of thing has happened. Poor service. Wait staff that has failed to wait on us so we left. Wait staff failing to seat us. Wait staff failing to bring our food. We won't make the same mistake again. We just won't try to get seated. And....Dave and Busters Mananagement....instead of placating patrons with a "we understand" or "we missed the mark", why not try to actually fix the problem, since it obviously is a reoccurring issue? read more

Poor Customer Service. Very unprofessional. My family and I went there on Sunday and purchased a play card and also wanted to have dinner. We walked past the hostess stand because there was no one there. The only waiter on the floor in the bar area told us someone was coming. We went back and were told to sit and handed 5 menus. No hello, no someone will be right with you. Afterward the hostess sat at the stand scrolling on her cellphone. We sat for 20 minutes without anyone coming to our table. After we seen the only waiter on the floor at a booth scrolling on his phone we lost faith and decided to leave. The drinks are amazing and well-priced and the food is good, but the service here is the worst. My group of three and I first went to sit in the restaurant area. It was mostly empty, but the indifferent hostess said that there was a thirty minute wait. We went to the bar and sat for fifteen minutes without being seen. We encountered an indifferent bartender who was all business and only came to give us drinks and our tickets. When we moved to a table at the bar, we hoped for better service. The poor, hardworking waitress had to work the whole area because NO ONE else was working the floor. It took us an hour and a half to get food. My review is specifically about our server Lacy. I have never, ever had a server go so far above and beyond as this woman did! I'm a bit of a service snob bcz I once was a server and I mean to tell you she is impressive! Not only did she cater to the 4 yr old in our party but she was also gracious to the person with Down Syndrome who was also in our party. I don't watch much tv and I honestly didn't know what this place was. I noticed it on yelp and dropped in to check it. What grabbed my attention was pictures on their page of a triple bacon burger. They were posted by the business instead of by a customer. Actually, I thought they were probably dressed up for photography and I intended to call them out believing my burger would not compare to their pictures. I was dead wrong about that. That burger was everything I've ever wanted from a burger. I think my pictures speak for themselves and I think the owners would be proud to have served that burger to a customer. It had a couple interesting twists to it. What looked like a mayonnaise disaster actually turned out to be a type of cheese. I've forgotten what it was now and I don't feel like figuring it out. I came in for lunch. I could care less about all those arcade games. If you have kids these days you know that all contemporary toys have batteries and speakers and they make noise. You know how a wound up wild child can get on your nerves making noise when you need your quiet time. Sometimes you want to just throw that noise making toy out of a moving truck. Imagine a thousand toys like that all turned up to 10 and all going off at once with each one making different noises. For me the noise was unbearable. It wasn't just the volume, it was like 1000 irritating noises all at once. I especially disliked the fact I had to walk three miles right through the heart of the noisy activity to access the bathrooms. A few weeks ago, I hurt my foot and had to use crutches. These bathrooms would have been too far to have been accessible to someone who has trouble getting around. Lucky I'm walking fine again these days. It's still too far. The restaurant area should be more separate and have its own amenities. Service was fine. Although the burger was exceptional, I felt like I paid dearly for it. It was expensive. I'd definitely recommend the burger if you have the cash, but don't forget the earplugs. read more

Ive gone to many Dave & Buster's across the country and this is by far the worst. Re: ambiance, the prize room is frequently untidy and understocked. It makes it difficult to want to use your tickets when you cant trust the experience. Re: food, I literally waited 45 minutes once at the bar for a bartender to even acknowledge me. By the time I was served, the bartender gave me a free beverage due to the extreme wait time. If I take my family there now, I immediately presume Im going to get little to no service. Re: service, I do like how swiftly their game technicians support the broken machines. On the whole, I struggle to enjoy this site of a chain that Ive really enjoyed going to for years. read more

I don't think they were expecting the Memphis market to be this busy to start or they just were not prepared for it on this night. 6pm on a Sunday and already out of wings....lol Waited an HOUR AND HALF for food that wasn't good at all. All of the managers that I observed were just casually walking or standing around showing no sense of urgency or leadership. Been to a lot of D&B's across the country and was really excited to have one in Memphis finally. I hope they get things together and this one is on par with other locations. The place does look nice though. Lots of TV's and plenty of space. A lot of games and a good vibe in the building. I really enjoyed their opening event. It felt like a giant party and a Funquest for adults. I was a little bummed that their buffet was not the food they serve in their restaurant but rather what you get when you cater with them. I don't really have any opportunities to do so but I will keep them in mind if the chance pops up. I would come back with friends but most of the games were things I can play at home or things I'm not interested in. I did see a few horror games I wouldn't mind trying out next time. Antonio the waiter is amazing. They were so busy I had multiple people take a drink order for me and not get it, until he came by and was able to get my drink immediately. I was here for their grand opening night and had so much fun!! I'm so happy Memphis finally has a Dave & Buster's! The drinks were really good and the games were so much fun! The place is huge! I was there during happy hour and ordered the Frose, which I would definitely recommend to all wine lovers! It was like a slushy wine. You can't beat the happy hour prices! The "over under" shots we ordered weren't on the happy hour but they were worth the splurge! You also get to keep the shot glasses which was a nice surprise! Poor service & food quality. We came on Monday night for all-you-can-eat wings. We thought it was fairly slow/empty for such a good deal. Well, we soon figured out why. I ordered the bone-in wings; they are terrible; the meat had an off-taste. I think they fry them with no season & they just add the sauce on the outside. Very bad service, tables weren't clean, silverware dingy, took 30 minutes to take our order and place wasn't half full and an hour to get our drinks. Would have walked out but Grandson wanted to go there for his Birthday Party and he did have a blast at the arcade. I would give the arcade 5 stars but if you eat there bring your own paper plates, utensils and disinfectant wipes for the table, and be prepared to wait. The food was good when we did get it. We won't be back though. Its a shame because its a great concept, beautiful building, it could be great. read more
