One of the best family running in San Diego. 3 of my friends went with Mailos and were extremely happy and they referred him to me. I called them for a quote and i was shocked at this guys were quoting so low compared to other teams I contacted. Immediately I was in full of suspicious. I got the Job finished (only 2 steps left, special order) and I am 100% satisfied. They are team of 3-4 people and all same family. Father, Son and Cousins. They are completely professional and safe. They moved your things completely and you don't have to move a limb moving things. They stick to the original quote and time as they promised, Very trustable. Once they are done you call them for any fixes you like. They even changed the Basedboard on other rooms, just to match it. They only take payment only after they complete the work 100% I wish they do more than flooring so that I can keep calling them. Great team, Kudos. Their Strengths 1. Family Business 2. Post work completion payment 3. Trust worthy 4. Timely 5. Completely Professional read more

We are beyond happy with the installation and professionalism of this company! They were efficient, friendly, always on time and the craftsmanship is extraordinary. Emilio and his son Mailo installed over 2700 sq feet of laminate in our home in eight days and I can tell you this, there are no harder working people out there. They cleaned up after themselves after every shift and were always polite and courteous. I can not get over the quality of their work. Mailo is a master at cutting the baseboards to fit perfectly. I highly recommend hiring this awesome team. read more

We hired Mailos Flooring after getting a referral from one of their previous customers and seeing their completed work. We were working under a time crunch, as the previous installer we initially hired totally botched the job and was let go after 3 weeks. Mailos came out early on a Saturday morning, got measurements and showed us samples. We accepted their price, which was more than reasonable and included pulling up the botched flooring, labor, materials and new painted baseboards. They started the job promptly at 8am on Monday and were done at 6pm Tuesday, including all cleanup and removal of old materials. The installation is outstanding and the floors look simply beautiful! Mailos is a top-notch quality company, family-owned. They were honest and reliable and would not accept any payment until the job was done to our 100% satisfaction. How often do you find that? read more

I would defenitely recommend Mailos Flooring to anyone who wants an affordable, fast, efficient, and does an outstanding job done at their home. I read and went through their photos of the jobs they've done on yelp, and I'm glad I did! No regrets nor dissapointments at all. I called him on a Wednesday noon, he came out less than an hour later for an estimation. He showed me samples, we agreed. He scheduled us on a Monday for an installation but made it possible to install on a Sunday morning and were able finished in the afternoon. Overall, my wife and I are very satisfied with the job they've done inside our house. They were on time, started the job right away, did not do any shortcuts, they cleaned up after themselves, and presented us with a superb product. Every penny spent were all worth it! read more

Emilio checked out the project, gave me a quote, then quit on Day 1 abandoning the project and leaving me stranded trying to find another flooring guy. After pulling up the tile he was going to demo, he found there was a lot more work than he anticipated. He wanted another thousand dollars which I eventually and reluctantly agreed to. But he never came back to do the job. He seemed like such a good guy when I hired him but he totally screwed me. I believe he's an honest man... he never charged me any labor, but this was unprofessional and cost me a lot in time and trouble. read more

Emilio, his son Mailo and his two workers did a fantastic job! I had about 1700 sq ft of vinyl flooring that needed to be done and was originally told it would take 4 days which was fine but they were able to knock it out in 2 days which included removing the old laminate floors, moving my furniture around and installing new baseboards. They came on time and worked fast with a great attitude. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for flooring and molding work. I will definitely call them again to finish the rest of my house! Thank you very much. read more

I hired Emilio Torres, Mailos Flooring, to install laminate flooring and tile in rooms upstairs in my house plus the stairs. He started on July 8th, still not finished. The job took longer than he had schedules and apparently more materials than he estimated. He did not have enough pieces to finish the stairs, so he spliced two of the stairs, which are uneven. (Two others have come loose) He said he would get the material and return, he hasn't returned. He didn't have enough molding to finish the upstairs hall or the steps, so they remain unfinished. The grout he used for the porcelain tile is uneven, different widths. He did not seal the grout. He promised to bring me a receipt for the payments he received, when he returned to finish the job. No receipt, because he never finished the job. I have called him and sent him text messages, but he does not answer.J read more

We own a home that was built in 1887. One side of the home is still vintage with a complimentary addition built on the other side. Emilio and his crew did a wonderful job installing the wood flooring, matching up the different levels and stairs. They went the extra mile to make us happy with unforeseen challenges that were presented to them and still stayed on our original bid and budget. I totally recommend Emilio and his crew. read more

I was very impressed with Mailos Flooring Installation. I called Emilio and he immediately answers his phone. I got a very reasonable quote compared to overpriced large businesses. So I went with Mailos Flooring Installation, the small local family owned business. We went over what I wanted and he helped me with things I had questions with. He was very professional, courteous, and very understanding of all my questions. I felt very comfortable so I decided to go ahead with the job (entire first and second floor laminate). I was impressed when they came ready to work 5 minutes before the stated 8am time everyday. On top of that; they were ready to work and accomplished a lot in the first hour. Mailos Flooring Installation son and crew were very professional and polite with me considering I was in the house while they worked. They worked hard, fast, and efficiently from beginning to end. They even moved my furniture and appliances (I of course boxed up small breakable items in the garage beforehand). They were very polite and respectful to my wife and daughter when they got home. They nearly finished an entire floor in one day (that included demo old carpet and laminate install). I was amazed. They literally finished my entire house in 4 days despite me giving them all the time they needed. It was done exactly how I wanted it down to every detail in that amount of time. I would highly recommend Mailos Flooring for any flooring needs or issues. I would personally use them again (no need, my life complete now) and I have recommended them to my family. There are so many good things to say. Trust in Mailo's Flooring Installation to get the job done. read more
