I had been a patient of Dr. Ongangi and appreciated her care, but unfortunately, I made the…read moredecision to leave her practice due to repeated negative interactions with her front office staff. During my most recent phone call, I was consistently talked over, my concerns were ignored, and I was met with dismissiveness rather than support. When I politely asked the male receptionist to speak with a manager, he instead transferred me to another staff member. That associate raised her voice at me, repeated the same unhelpful information, and made no effort to address my concern. I was told management was unavailable, which felt like a brush-off. No patient deserves to be treated with such hostility or disregard--especially when simply trying to get clarity or help. While I had respect for Dr. Ongangi's medical care, the toxic front office culture reflects poorly on the practice as a whole. I hope the management takes serious steps to improve how patients are treated. Until then, I cannot recommend this practice.

Most doctors are in a rush to get you in and out of the office, but not John. I recommend Dr. John to anyone in search of a family doctor. One thing "missing" from his patient rooms are advertisements from drug companies drug samples. Dr. John isn't part of the typical "big Pharma" movement. He's not looking to make friends with drug companies. He's looking to improve the lives of patients.

Whenever I need to come in and be seen it is no problem. The great thing that Dr. G does is that he has a walk-in clinic and you have to be here at 7:45am but that is nothing especially when you can be seen! All of his exam rooms are themed. I enjoy them all. You have a lot to look at while you wait for the doctor to come in. You can tell his patients truly love him. He is a great asset to FHCA. I have been a long time patient of FHCA probably for approximately 20 years and most of those years have been with Dr. G. He is very pleasant, cordial and very knowledgeable. His clinic staff runs like a well oiled wheel. His staff as well is friendly, personable and efficient. There are numerous other physicians as well and this place is always busy of course. When I look around at other patients they all look satisfied with their visit. I would suggest this place to anyone looking for a doctor and both the facility and physicians are top notch to me!

I went to Family HealthCare Associates on Green Oaks Boulevard in Arlington, Texas for a scheduled…read moreblood draw. After checking in, I filled out the small sticker by the front door with my name -- the space was very limited, so I did my best to write it clearly. A man then came into the waiting room and said, "Cindy, you didn't write your name well -- how were we supposed to find you?" I explained that the writing space was too small, and if there had been more room, I could've written my name more clearly. Instead of understanding, he began arguing with me -- and he was the same person who was about to draw my blood. At that point, I felt uncomfortable and unsafe, so I decided to leave. His rude attitude made me worry he might not handle the procedure gently or professionally. I believe they should provide larger stickers for names so patients can write clearly -- and so no one feels disrespected or mistreated. I'll be getting my blood drawn elsewhere.

I felt I had to leave an honest review after reading all the one-star reviews…read more The front desk staff, MAs, phlebotomist, and all other staff members I've encountered have been nothing but helpful and patient. I used to work in a physician's office, and I have seen how demanding and ridiculous patients can be. Doctors cannot break the rules of medicine or go outside of the insurance restrictions to refill prescriptions, just give a patient what they want, or see patients who are behind in their payments. Dr. Truong (and every single one of her staff) has been kind to me. They are all races and backgrounds and ages, so the discrimination accusation below is unwarranted. I am white. Dr. Truong is Vietnamese. Some of the staff are Hispanic or African American. I have gone to Dr. Truong for only two years, but two African American friends of mine been going to her for years and never had any complaints. It is slanderous to make that accusation. How a patient speaks to staff can get them dismissed from a medical office, and I applaud any physician who stands behind their staff. Since the pandemic, people have become more demanding and just plain awful. Try working a front desk in a medical office for one day and you will be buying flowers for these ladies to compliment them on their skill and patience. Grow up, be kind, and be a patient person.

However, after the COVID-19 pandemic, I noticed a significant change in my experience. I increasingly felt like I was just another number rather than a person receiving individualized care. Over time, I found many of our interactions to be lacking warmth and compassion. At times, her communication came across as borderline rude, and I perceived an attitude that felt dismissive and superior rather than caring and respectful. I tolerated these experiences for quite some time because I valued the continuity of my medical care. Unfortunately, I have reached a point where I can no longer ignore how these interactions make me feel. A strong patient-provider relationship should include professionalism, empathy, and human connection. In my experience, those qualities have been missing. In addition, I felt that I was charged for various services in a way that was not always clear or expected. For example, if I scheduled an annual physical, I sometimes had to dispute the visit in order to receive the required preventive care, and then make another appointment to address additional concerns. I was also charged for services I understood to be covered by my insurance. As a result, I either paid for vaccines or received them elsewhere. I am deeply disappointed because I believe every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, kindness, and respect. While I appreciate the medical care I have received over the years, the lack of compassion and meaningful human connection has led me to question whether this practice is still the right fit for me.

At his request all medical records are located at Arlington Internal Medical Group, #817-417-9334 or 817-417-9339 (Fax Request). Referral doctors, David Lee, Colleen Sam MD's and MaryAnn Efesoa NP. It totally saddens me to have heard and read of Dr. Hale leaving practice. She is friendly, kind, humorous and very knowledgeable. Her office staff is welcoming and more helpful than any other I have been to. She was able to help me immediately and I will never forget that as long as I live. Excellent care and wonderful human being.

After moving to Arlington she was the 4th doctor that I tried before I became a regular patient of hers. What I like about Dr Gaydos is that she is very thorough, caring and tells it like it is. She does not over prescribe medications and then not monitor you afterwards. I had a really bad reaction from medicine prescribed by a previous doctor and ended up having to self-diagnose the problem to finally correct the situation. It was at that point that I switch to Dr Gaydos. Since then, I have had several sports injuries and other situations that have to be monitored. Dr Gaydos is always familiar and knowledgeable with the situations that I have. I feel that I am in good care with Dr Gaydos. And, that is what is most important to me. I have never felt rushed during an office visit and I tend to ask a lot of questions. I highly recommend Dr Gaydos if you want an honest opinion from a knowledgeable doctor who is caring and treats you like an educated adult. She won't treat you like a child going to a pediatrician. So, if that is what you are looking for, look elsewhere in my opinion.

When I asked for the labs then he said he would refer me to pain dr to do steroid inject. I worked at UTSW and inform him of the correct specialist referral, he argued and insisted we use his long-time friend's clinic, which felt more like a kickback scheme than genuine care. He repeatedly pushed supplements from his inoffics pharmacy (apparently another "partner" of his) and told us not to go to the ER--even when it was clearly warranted--instead directing us to call his office for a CT scan. I had to practically beg for routine labs, and he wanted us to do at his "inhouse labs" even though it was closed. when the nurse finally agreed to write for labs, she "forgot" to send in the orders or follow up with results. His bedside manner is distant and uncaring, and he even wont let you develop Rapport with him. Every visit feels like a waste of time and money. Pretty impressive. I have had quick, professional, and consistent service and would recommend him to anyone who needs a general practitioner. His office staff will book you the day you call, sometimes within 45 minutes! Kent doesn't accept insurance or medicare, which probably is why he can work more efficiently.
