I felt I had to leave an honest review after reading all the one-star reviews…read more The front desk staff, MAs, phlebotomist, and all other staff members I've encountered have been nothing but helpful and patient. I used to work in a physician's office, and I have seen how demanding and ridiculous patients can be. Doctors cannot break the rules of medicine or go outside of the insurance restrictions to refill prescriptions, just give a patient what they want, or see patients who are behind in their payments. Dr. Truong (and every single one of her staff) has been kind to me. They are all races and backgrounds and ages, so the discrimination accusation below is unwarranted. I am white. Dr. Truong is Vietnamese. Some of the staff are Hispanic or African American. I have gone to Dr. Truong for only two years, but two African American friends of mine been going to her for years and never had any complaints. It is slanderous to make that accusation. How a patient speaks to staff can get them dismissed from a medical office, and I applaud any physician who stands behind their staff. Since the pandemic, people have become more demanding and just plain awful. Try working a front desk in a medical office for one day and you will be buying flowers for these ladies to compliment them on their skill and patience. Grow up, be kind, and be a patient person.

However, after the COVID-19 pandemic, I noticed a significant change in my experience. I increasingly felt like I was just another number rather than a person receiving individualized care. Over time, I found many of our interactions to be lacking warmth and compassion. At times, her communication came across as borderline rude, and I perceived an attitude that felt dismissive and superior rather than caring and respectful. I tolerated these experiences for quite some time because I valued the continuity of my medical care. Unfortunately, I have reached a point where I can no longer ignore how these interactions make me feel. A strong patient-provider relationship should include professionalism, empathy, and human connection. In my experience, those qualities have been missing. In addition, I felt that I was charged for various services in a way that was not always clear or expected. For example, if I scheduled an annual physical, I sometimes had to dispute the visit in order to receive the required preventive care, and then make another appointment to address additional concerns. I was also charged for services I understood to be covered by my insurance. As a result, I either paid for vaccines or received them elsewhere. I am deeply disappointed because I believe every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, kindness, and respect. While I appreciate the medical care I have received over the years, the lack of compassion and meaningful human connection has led me to question whether this practice is still the right fit for me.

She sits with you and talks to you and makes you feel comfortable. It also doesn't feel like a typical doctor's office where you can't relax and you feel on edge the whole time. A lot of times doctors rush in and out and you feel like they listened to you. She's listening and she's taking it all in and she cares deeply. I would say I highly recommend her, but it's a catch-22. With writing this review I think she's wonderful, but at the same time I like being able to get my appointments with her. Also, my 11-year-old daughter sees her and just loves her. We followed her from Midlothian because neither one of us wanted to find a different doctor. She's just so great.

Katherine Pederson, DO, MS 1757 Broad Park Cir N #201,…read moreMansfield, TX 76063 Family practice physician I advise anyone using katherine Perderson to review your billing and make sure your insurance was billed for what was actually performed. I was hoping the manager of the facility in mansfield would call me back again how she said she would, so we could resolve this issue. (But after the first call i have not heard back. )Simply because "the doctor" says they performed something doesn't make it true. There was no thorough investigation done. This billing issue was dismissed way too quickly. Anyone can be "nice" and willing to listen, but there actions after is what pushed me to write this review and make others aware. 1. Appointment was made for a first visit that they said was mandatory to establish a relationship. When we arrived to apt. We specifically stated to several employees before being called to the back no physical exam was going to be done. Weight was taken, lungs were heard, blood was drawn. Doctor Katherine advised to schedule physical soon on the next visit. Before leaving the office they told me doctor katherine had changed the visit code and billed for yearly physical. Which they also looked confused as to why. No one had answers. I had to wait till manager called later that day. I told the manager We were told several times by several employees it was just a first visit to establish relationship. And $10 copay was charged, manager did refund after I first spoke with her. But the $10 is not what bothered me it was the doctors actions. All I wanted was for them to code the billing correctly or actually perform a thorough physical exam and any professional that cares would. But instead was told that the doctor may not be a good fit for us. And that she was attesting she did perform it. So they couldn't do anything about it. After talking more with manager, she said she had to talk to katherine again and would call me back the next day. I waited until about 1pm and called them since i had not recieved a call. And was told manager was in a meeting. She advised the employee assisting me to read off the notes. I didnt think that was professional. The employee said she would have manager call me back. I was expecting a solution of either billing code correction or a thorough physical exam performed, not the bare minimum. Which just really makes me sad. In person the doctor seems great it's the behind the scenes actions like billing that I don't understand how a doctor can take advantage of patients like that. If what she did was a physical she definitely did the bare minimum required to get away with coding the visit as a physical. So please review your bills, it's something that most of us don't normally do and just pay. Or we don't look because it's covered by insurance, without realizing our insurance is paying for things we didn't even have done.

We made a trip to Urgent Care of Texas figuring we would be evaluated, provided a prescription for antibiotics/steroids and be on our way. That was not the case, we were assessed by Dr. Umar Saeed, and he immediately diagnosed us with bronchitis and bilateral ear infections with the possibility for ear drum rupture. We were taken from the exam room to the treatment room and started on IV fluids, steroids, antibiotics, and pain medication. Everyone from the front office receptionist, nursing staff and physician were professional, personable, kind, and caring. The facility is clean, comfortable, and quite large. After our IVs completed, discharge instructions were provided including worst case scenario for ruptured ear drums. Dr Saeed explained in a very calm, reassuring manner what an ear drum rupture would feel like, how to treat it and how long it would take to heal. Prescriptions for 10-day antibiotics and 5 days of steroids were submitted to our pharmacy and instructed to follow-up with our PCP in one week. However, if we were unable to obtain an appointment, we could return to the Urgent Care Center, and they would provide the check-up. I have never had the need to visit an Urgent Care Center, but I am ecstatic that my first experience was with the BEST one in Arlington, Texas. I had no idea the facility provided IV therapy and was treating five other patients ahead of us. Although we were there for four hours it was not an uncomfortable experience like lying on a gurney in the Emergency Room. Thank you, Dr. Saeed, and Staff, we are doing much better after your excellent care.

However, this David person never allows me to speak with any one at the front desk or the medical assistant for my doctor. He always puts me through a dead end ringing telephone, and then says , they must be busy or not available. I have called all hours of the day, different days of the week mind you. I travel extensively for a living, and am in need of refills, but David's answer is always, "you have to come in and see the doctor", even after I have explained my inability to do so because I am out of town on business. His response to that is, "well sorry, there is nothing I can do for you". I have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, and this staff keeps referring me to an arthritis specialist that my insurance has dropped over a year ago. So it's almost two years and I have yet to see a specialist for my condition. So meanwhile, I keep requesting a refill for the pain meds until they can get their act together and actually refer me to a doctor in my network, that can treat me. I also was supposed to have a copay charge reversed but it never happened, so I called about it, and David told me I would get a call back. That never happened. So again I called, and David said he would forward my message. Under no circumstances will he allow me to speak to my doctor's staff. Not sure who runs Urgent Care of Texas, but when I do find out, I'm not playing nice anymore. This whole team is horrible. I hate to switch doctors, but when I finally come home in September, that's exactly what I'm going to do. Meanwhile, I have to suffer until then, with rheumatoid arthritis. I will never recommend Urgent Care to anyone. I don't care if one location is better than the other. Urgent Care should be helping people, not telling you "there is nothing they can do for you"!!!
