    If you are someone in the quad city surrounding area that has purchased from Amazon in the past…read more6mo-1y and have had to return something (so basically everyone) you know that the state of Amazon returns in our market is a literal sh1tshow. Most UPS stores have closed down, Amazon is now actively surcharging and dissuading people from choosing UPS Store and funneling people to Staples, and the Staples employees who's 'other duties as required' job requirement recently became 'Amazon returns desk scan person forever and ever.',hates their life and the lives of every person who bought something from amazon and is therefore standing in front of them. Knowing that background I took a few deep breaths and walked into this store - that thankfully didn't have a line going out the door. Reader: What I saw amazed me and restored my faith in humanity in this country and this year. I was about 10th in line, and there was what appeared to be a shift lead and two other workers - three total - serving customers. I am not exaggerating when I say literally every customer from the savvy 'here's my barcode hit it and I go' to the confused and not understanding - received the best customer service I've seen anywhere recently. Excellent manners from all, and despite what was likely NOT a fun job - all day every day due to every other option either closing up or making the amazon customer feel like crap - didn't seem to matter. Smiles, manners, infinite patience - I saw it from all three, received it from one, and saw it demonstrated by that either team lead or store manager. "Tone at the top" is real. If your people are miserable their boss is likely not good either. Reverse is true - all three were phenomenal. On the spot I decided I would write this review regardless of how many little errands have to wait. If you're a customer walking through the door - I get it. We don't want to be there. Amazon has left us no choice. But remember the people working to help you and show them some courtesy of your own. TEAM AT THE STORE: OUTSTANDING customer service. Thank you. It makes all the difference in the world.

    The lovely couple who operate this store are working their a55es off and dealing with surly,…read morerac|st, rude and entitled folks from the area day in and day out. I witnessed it when I went in to ship a package. They are stressed tf out and you can tell. I felt really terrible for them. The problem is not this place, it's the brunt of people they have coming in and yelling at them. I know because I saw it. So to every person who said "They didn't smile at me" DID YOU SMILE AT THEM? I doubt it. I grew up here. I know how poc are treated. They took care of me, she didn't smile, and I didn't blame her one bit. I saw what she was dealing with. I wouldn't smile either. Give these people a break and be nice to them. They are offering a service. You are not entitled to it. I hope they do well
