Yesterday a resident at the Kahl home was having multiple problems with their cell phone. I was able to take it over to Austin at Fruit Fixer. Austin checked out the phone and located the problem. She had dropped it so many times a part needed to be replaced. Plus, she had turned off the ringer without knowing it. Austin was efficient, kind, caring, and found the problem immediately. It was repaired within an hour. He was kind enough to provide an explanation. When you are over 70 the tech knowledge is not part of your daily life and vocabulary. Yeah......no. I agree with the last review, zero stars fits this business just right, I Went in with a broken iPad keyboard, they seemed just fine and said that they could have it in a couple hours. No phone calls, so I went in 3 1/2 hours later to see what was going on. Total personality change. They couldn't do anything with the keyboard, and got kind of snarky about it insinuated it might've been my typing, to which I kind of laughed and said " oh Lord! " To which I got the reply: "so are you going to do the talking or am I.? " wow! Attitude much? So I got my pad and left never to return. I had talked to them before for advice on a computer upgrade and they advised me against it due to the upgrade being more than the computer was worth. Its vendors like these for whom Yelp should start a zero star rating. I brought in two iPhones. They replaced both screens. They next day one started cracking. It was in the case and there was no impact. It was clearly a workmanship or material issue. They refused to stand by their work. The employee got snarky about it calling it user damage. Go anywhere else but here! I was hoping to find a local company for apple device repairs for our company. We are a construction company with 46 apple devices between iPads and iPhones. I took in 1 iPad Air 2 with a cracked screen... nothing crazy or overly complicated... just a cracked screen. The original online appointment I made was not honored. I was told their internet was down and they didn't receive it, but they could go ahead and order the part needed to replace and it would be 3-4 days. No one called, and I finally called them 8 days later to find out that yes they did have the part. So I drove back (35 minute drive each way) to drop off the iPad. He told me it would be ready by the next morning. I got busy at work the next day and they even called that afternoon to tell me it was ready to be picked up. I told him I would be there the next day to pick it up. When I arrived the next afternoon, I was told the device was actually NOT ready, but no one bothered to call and let me know so I wasted over an hour of my day driving there and back for no reason. Two days later I receive a voicemail from them stating that the technician had broken a piece off of the motherboard while replacing the screen and now it would have to be sent somewhere else for further repairs that would take another week to week and a half. This whole ordeal took almost a month to replace the screen on an iPad and they tried to remedy the situation with a whole $5 off the total price. I will never take another device to this place and I will tell anyone who will listen what an awful experience this was. If you decide to try this place anyway, and you are greeted by a technician named Noah... RUN!!! read more
