ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!! Took my iPhone 7plus to them on 11/27/19 for battery…read morereplacement & cracked screen (screen cracked due to battery expansion). Total cost $200+ . Tech said everything checked out good & battery bursting had no internal effect on phone. FF to last week...I noticed a hairline crack on the right corner of the earpiece. Hadn't dropped it or been abusive with it (it was my mother's until she passed from cancer in 2018) because I keep it in pristine condition. Crack begins to spiderweb across glass before I could go back to Batteries Plus. Checked my paperwork and saw the 180 day guarantee on parts & service with the disclaimer. Returned to store this afternoon & same tech told me it wasn't covered under warranty, how does he know i didn't drop or abuse it, what can he do it's been 3 months since replaced, said the company has come down on them real hard since the first of 2020 about warranties. Told me he would talk to the store manager, went to back room (while store manager was at the front counter the whole time) came back up after a few minutes and was told no one would approve the warranty replacement. For clarification, I asked if I would have to pay another $119 on top of the $200+ I initially paid & was told 'yes if you want it repaired'. I work in management for a 40 year old entertainment company. I know that the warranty covers my situation. There was an obvious defect in the replacement glass, which could have been replaced & returned to the supplier for a return credit to Batteries Plus. Customer & Company both satisfied. If I (or any employee) ever told a customer, 'How do I know that it didn't work? How do I know that you didn't do the damage? Sorry there is nothing I can do, you just have to spend more money." it would be immediate termination. And that is for $1-$3 movie/game rentals. I will never return & will relay this unfortunate and unacceptable situation to the several hundred people that I interact with on a weekly basis.
