(I should start by mentioning we don't know which location this was from, but as one branch shakes,…read morethe whole tree moves.) We made an appointment for our boiler furnace check up and reset thermostat. We were given an appointment window between 8:00-12:00. It's now after 4:00 and still no one showed! We called them around noon and were told we indeed have an appointment. The worse part for us is that my husband scheduled off for today so we could do something together. Instead we wasted an entire Friday waiting. No calls to apologize or explain. What kind of company does that?! So, at 4:30, the McVay guy showed up. 4 and a half hours past the window time given us! He looked at thermostat, saw it go blank, and informed us we needed a new one at $285! We declined. Turns out, our thermostat needed new batteries. So, not only do they not honor appointment times, they try to sell highly marked up products to people that don't need them. Too bad they can't be honest and punctual, they would get life time customers. We will certainly never use them again.

Awesome, upbeat, punctual. The most professional business we have encountered since moving to…read morePittsburgh. Right away, we got a sense of honesty and integrity from this small company. Derrell and his helper came by to assess the situation the day after my husband noticed our furnace blowing cold air. It turned out that one of our two furnaces was leaking carbon monoxide ( no bueno!). One furnace was cracked internally, and Derrell used his camera to show us where the cracks were, and to show us how the other furnace was close to malfunctioning the same way. Derrell listed some furnace prices, we discussed our options, and decided to move forward. When he couldn't get our quote to us the first night, he texted to let us know he hadn't forgotten about us, but that the furnace that we planned on was not available. He then worked with us to get an excellent rate on high-quality, high-efficiency furnaces, with an arrangement to work with him in the future on our cooling system in the spring. On the job, his entire crew was friendly, respectful, efficient, and professional. They were even super friendly to our pooch. When they hit a huge challenge with our ancient, stone-walled basement, they worked through it with a can-do attitude and got the job done. They also cleaned up nicely at the end, which is something my husband, a plumber and carpenter, notices a lot of tradespeople don't do here. Clear and timely communication beginning to end. It is refreshing to deal with a company that takes pride in the work and has a high standard of professionalism for its employees. I hate to say that we've encountered a lot of flakiness, and lack of quality and professionalism in the trades here in Pittsburgh, but it's true. Unfortunately, there's too much "that's good enough, I suppose," along with unprofessional employees (enter variety of issues here--complaining, rudeness, loudness, laziness, lack of skills, lewdness...). Thankfully, there's Yelp to help sort the excellent from the not-so-good. Really enjoyed working with these guys. Highly recommend and look forward to having them back in the spring.

Joel and Mike were very personable, professional and a pure delight to work with. Their services and price point are reasonable, and you just can't beat the quality of service. If we ever have any plumbing issues in the future, we do not need to look any further than Beverly Services. From their receptionist, accounting department and staff, just top notch! This is the way all companies should conduct business. Working with Beverly Services is an experience you just can't beat. I highly recommend hiring them. You will not go wrong! Thank you, Beverly Services, for your incredible professionalism. Other companies should take a page out of your book!! A Chef's Kiss!

I thought there was an issue with the furnace's "SMART OR NOT SO SMART" thermostat because I just had my furnace checked in the fall. The furnace was coming on and off with short runs. Brian did a full diagnostic check on the furnace and it was good to go. He even checked to make sure there wasn't a gas leak! I requested a Honeywell old fashion thermostat installed , which he did. Problem solved plus the cost was reasonable. Brian was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. Of course I had a lot of questions. He answered them without even blinking an eye and with a smile. But beware an older gentleman was with him and he was quite a talker but very knowledgeable too! I would call Bradley Brothers again for service and highly recommend them too.
