Update: MIB recently switched me to a new cleaning crew. The new crew is very reliable (no last-minute cancellations); and they've been doing a great job on the cleaning. I've been using Maids in Blue for a few months, on a regular bi-weekly schedule. The cost is reasonable, staff are very friendly, and the cleaning has ranged from good to excellent. The website scheduling is very convenient, and makes it easy to change the cleaning date when necessary. I like the email reminders 'cause sometimes I forget. :-) A couple of times MIB has had to change my cleaning dates / times due to their own scheduling or staffing issues but I'm able to be flexible so this wasn't a problem for me. And I've had good communication and excellent service from the owner as well as the supervisor who oversees the staff in my area. read more

He advised that they guarantee their service and offered a re-clean of our apartment, which was subsequently scheduled. He also noted that our initial cleaners were new and were not fully aware of the standards of Maids in Blue and that he would send another team for the re-clean. I requested a move in cleaning, maids in blue were able to accommodate on a very short notice when the other cleaning company bailed out on me on the day of my service despite having received several confirmations that they will make it to my apartment for the cleaning. I needed cleaners in a pinch because I was moving into a new apartment and wanted it to be spotless. They came in the next day with 2 cleaners and did the job! They even went over and above a little to get a little more done. I had been communicating with their switchboard person who wasn't very knowledgable and kept referring me to the website. Would have been nice to just communicate with the cleaners directly when I had questions instead of awkwardly have calls back and forth with their switchboard person. Also, they should be telling the customer directly what pricing is if we're already on the phone. They also promised to look into additional services for carpet cleaning but I never ended up hearing back. Overall I was satisfied with the cleaning service and would probably use it again if needed. If I could give a zero I would. They would not follow instructions, and did things I did not want done,while messing up what they did do. They came almost one hour later than scheduled, and they insisted We needed a deep cleaning, which I refused several times. They did not respond well to either emails or attempts to phone. A pet training aid was broken, with the pieces left on the counter, and when I complained, the ultimate result was the cleaner denied dropping it, and the company would make it all better by not charging us for the deep cleaning that I refused. Above all, do NOT give your credit card info to them. Despite telling them I would pay cash, they posted the bill to our account well before they came. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a cleaner. I am prepared to edit this review somewhat. After Ray, the owner, returned to town, and reviewed what had gone on, he contacted me with many apologies. He stated that staff had been spoken with, because their words and actions did not portray what he wanted to see in his company. We were reimbursed for the breakage. If this had been handled in this fashion from the beginning, I probably would not have been as negative, but we likely would not be having them back. I asked for a move out clean and had a quote given to me. Once the women came they contacted the mgr and said the suite was extra dirty and I was told that it would cost an extra $50 and I agreed. When the job was done the appliances were not moved therefore not cleaned, also around the trim and the floors were barely cleaned. I could of done a better job if I had the time. read more

The service was poor. The floors were still dirty after vacuuming, they did not have proper floor cleaner, glass was not cleaned and either was appliances. They were unprofessional, wore their shoes in house and asked to use my cell phone to call for a ride. I would not recommend them and will not ever have them clean my house again. However after my bad experience the owner has contacted me, they guarantee their services and will be making it up to me. I like that they guarantee their work and if you aren't satisfied they will make it right! read more

I called maids in blue for move-out cleaning for a 1-BR condo and for charged $397. I wouldn't complain if the condo was cleaned, but it was not. The water stain and calcium deposit on the bathroom counter were still there. When I pointed it out, they said they can't get it cleaned. I ended up having to buy CLA and cleaned it myself. What's the point of hiring a professional service if I have to do it myself in the end? When I saw my bill, I got charged for "wet wipe blinds cleaning" but my condo only has curtains. I pointed it out and they never explained. Be aware, they hold your credit card and charge you before you see the invoice that way when there is discrepancy in charge they can just ignore you. This was our first time using a cleaning service and we needed our place cleaned in preparation to sell. The booking procedure online was very easy and we received confirmation right away. We then we're thrilled to receive an email explaining that we had selected move in/out as well as deep clean which were the same thing so they had changed our bill to just one. They also adjusted our bill for a yelp coupon we had purchased. The day if our service we received a phone call letting us know what time they would arrive. Initially I was really pleased with the cleaning services provided by Maids in Blue. It was such a relief just to have some of the pressure removed from balancing a busy work schedule and maintaining a house etc... the ladies that arrived were a bit late but this being a new address, I didn't think it to be an issue - however - what I didn't like, and this is why I've only given them a 3-star rating, is the materials they used to clean with after I specifically made a detailed request with the company AND the fact that something was broken in my home during the cleaning session and they neglected to mention it. We had a service from Maids in Blue for move in/out on the 10th of November but we weren't happy at all. A week before we had a cleaning service do a deep cleaning and we were very satisfied but they weren't available . So after trying other cleaning services the Maids in Blue were the only one available on short notice . But we found that a lot of areas were left in worse shape than they started such as the stove which we paid extra to do that had lot of white residue (I have pictures) I suppose from their cleaning products because it wasn't there before. We paid extra for the wall but it seemed they didn't do anything since they were still dirty (also have picture) . We paid for 4 bedrooms but we couldn't see anything done (because the bedrooms were clean) and there was still a large spot in the master bedroom wall. We asked them to clean the kitchen but we couldn't see anything done other than the stove more dirty. In the phone conversation the customer representative asked how many bedrooms (we have 3 bedroom but got charged for 4 bedrooms they said office is the 4th one) but I didn't ask to clean them, I specfially asked to clean the kitchen area, bathrooms and walls only. On the phone the customer rep. said about 2.5 hours but they were here for 2 hours only. They didn't even clean the main floor so we noticed it immediately when we walk in. We ended up clean everything (again) as we will have appointments for "showing" the next morning. The only good thing that they came on time. Super disappointed with this cleaning service. I was in an accident and I am not mobile,so I booked a deep cleaning with wall spot cleaning ,to get the house right. There are clear marks on my walls, bathroom door wasn't cleaned, dusting wasn't done, window ledges were not touched, a small ottoman wasn't moved to vacuum under it, under my bed wasn't vacuumed and then the floor is wiped down not cleaned. Contacted them asap they wanted to send another team to fix the first teams short fall. That was not possible I had to organize several schedules to get help with putting the cats away, taking out the dog, putting away shoes, moving two small carpets and open the door. They are going to refund the deep cleaning fee, not enough to make it right. Poor quality work that they expected me to be on their staff about not what I was paying for and again I am not mobile.
