This review is LOOONGG overdue! At our first visit we did a walk through and let the crew get introduced to our fur babies ( since we don't have 2 legged babies - these ARE our babies ) The staff seemed nice and quickly went to work. The first cleaning was fantastic! very thorough and even left us a candle and thank you card. at 900 sq feet, 2 beds 1 1/4 bath $142.80 seemed high but it was worth it to have the extra help. The next couple times were lack luster performances. Frames weren't straightened out after dusting, little things here and there. Then our first item was broken. A hand blown glass vase given to us as a wedding present. We were told they would replace it, but it was a one of a kind gift by our friend. Then the cleaning just got sloppy. Footprints left behind after mopping ( everyone knows you mop yourself OUT of the room ) the shower curtain would be rolled up around the rod, frames not straight etc. I had left a review to management and was told that, "if I wanted things done a specific way, just leave a note for the maids." This was frustrating because then it made me feel like I was nit-picking. The next visit, instead of being on top of their game, our hallway rug had been wadded and thrown on my desk, shower curtain again, rolled up in to the rod to clean the tub, bath rugs had not been put back, tub not cleaned, toilet not cleaned, sink still dirty, trash not emptied, coffee table not wiped down, pictures crooked... then I looked around and realized something. Where are our dogs? We took advantage knowing the ladies were coming and went to early dinner, arriving home at 7pm. When we realized that once they came at 1pm our dogs had been left OUTSIDE in 104+ heat WITH NO WATER after drinking it all and their dog door LOCKED. I was beyoooonnndddd livid. I sent him an email since the office was closed. I got this response: " Oh no, I can only imagine after a long day you wanted to come home to that. I agree, leaving your pets locked outside is unacceptable. I haven't spoken with the ladies yet today but I will definitely make sure that doesn't happen again." Never did he say SORRY. When I thought about it overnight we decided to cancel our services, and I requested a refund which was not given... what a disappointment. read more

Nope. Absolutely not. My home, after the first round with a team of three, was left sorely unfinished with floors under 2 beds not swept, fingerprints on both sides of doors and blinds left dirty. Second round of cleaning left the floors under one bed still not swept. I didn't get down on my hands & knees to check their work and I signed off on it. This was called a "deep cleaning". My realtor even came away from my house with strands of unswept dust after moving TV cords in my living room. read more

Maid In Bastrop did a super detailed job especially in the kitchen and bathroom (where it counts the most). As far as home cleaning goes, this is just about as good as can be! The maids were very courteous, showed up on time, and made sure the cleaning was done to our satisfaction before they left. Booking was really easy and streamlined on their website. Once you set up an account you're pretty much good to go, and can schedule and cancel bookings without ever having to get on the phone. This is great for if you're already swamped with other stuff and only have a minute to spare. I'll definitely be recommending them to my friends in the Bastrop area. read more

Maid in Bastrop first did a deep clean of my house. It had not been cleaned for several months as I had been incapacitated. The girls were polite, gracious and very efficient. I requested they come every other week for a standard clean. The standard clean was almost as good as the deep clean. Stephanie in the office is as cooperative and gracious as the "maids". I asked her to plan a schedule in which I could have a partial clean on the weeks presently not scheduled. She gave me a great plan to keep my house cleaned once a week and still stay within my budget. read more

We recently moved to Bastrop. Our house has wood flooring. T he floors were very dirty and I did not have time to clean them. The foot traffic on the floors has been unbelievable. I have been soooo busy unpacking, making trips to San Antonio, etc. that cleaning floor was at the bottom of my list. Finally I could no longer stand it so I called "Maid In Bastrop". I never use a maid service when I've sold my homes but this time I decided my time was more precious and I'd spend the extra money for a professional company to come in and clean. This was a "make ready" clean. In other words, my house was completely empty without any furniture or fixtures to impede their progress. I did research reviews for the best around the Bastrop area and Daniel was really a super nice guy to work with getting this service booked for cleaning. I asked to have my wood floors cleaned, wood blinds, ceiling fans, window seals, doors, countertops, shelving, closets, inside windows, and bathrooms. I'd already spent hours cleaning the inside and outside of my fridge and oven, which were completely show ready. So when I went out to the house today to do a little more work and take a look at the cleaning job the maids did I was not happy with some of the things I found. The maids didn't wipe down my kitchen countertops and backsplash, which still had grease and onion peels from the day we moved out. My kitchen floors had grit and bits of trash under the cabinets and it looks like they'd cleaned my wood floors with dirty water. Three of the ceiling fans still had black dirt/grime on the blades that I had to clean off. They didn't clean the doors on the entry way or the exit door to the garage. They left tacky stuff on the bathroom floors. I cleaned it fairly easily so it shouldn't have been left like that. It was a good thing I went back to take a look at their work today before we had too many showings. I expected better work from a professional cleaning company. Not what I found today. Worth the $243? Not in my opinion. read more
