The second-to-last time, they used a dog urine spray meant for accidents to clean my floors. When I brought it up, Ely told me I should have said something in the moment so she could inform her team. The final time I used her service, chemicals were spilled on my bedsheets. When I confronted them about it (as I was previously instructed to do), they first denied it, then admitted to spilling it, and later tried to blame me. They also tossed a cap from one of my cleaning products into the trash bin but claimed they had left it on my counter. Overall, when I addressed these issues directly, Ely told me I "don't have a heart" and accused me of being disrespectful for simply pointing out what had happened. I'm sorry if they don't appreciate direct communication, but when mistakes are made, they need to be addressed so they don't happen again. I hope this helps others when selecting Ely's cleaning service.

Since I work from home, the team asked very considerate questions about which rooms to clean first, what would be the most convenient / least disruptive for me, etc. They were efficient, detailed, and I was blown away by the quality of the clean. Our former housekeeper moved so we recently had Purple Fig come in for an initial cleaning with the hopes of setting up a twice a month or bi-weekly service. We were quoted ~$280 per visit which was higher than our old housekeeper but seemed reasonable enough given they bring multiple people. They claimed the first clean was to bring things up to the "Purple Fig Standard" but when I got home after the cleaning I genuinely had trouble understanding what they did while in my home other than leave a candy cane on our kitchen counter. They don't do any laundry (even bed sheets/towels, not looking for a wash and fold service here) which is frustrating but I can somewhat understand given the time a laundry cycle takes. The most egregious offense was that they apparently also dont do any dishes . Again, i'm not asking for a post-Thanksgiving dinner cleanup here but we had a few pans and plates from last nights dinner in the sink and they didn't touch them. Overall, my wife and I struggled to understand what they really did to clean our home. When we decided not to continue with the bi-weekly service they then retroactively charged us $470 for the initial clean. For the price they charge not doing laundry or even tidying up the kitchen when there are a few dishes in the sink doesn't feel worth it. Now, I gave them 3 stars for a few reasons including bc in general they did a good job with the general basic cleaning the house; However, if the rating was purely off of how many jobs were left for me to correct/ do properly or the bad attitude displayed, I would give them 1 star. The issue that pushed over the tolerance meter was definitely the nasty attitude I received when I asked a simple question but there were also a couple of smaller issues that ultimately just caused more work for me which is actually opposite of my goals when hiring a professional cleaning crew. For starters, they did not even sweep out that garage or make any other attempt to clean it - so that's something I will have to take care of myself as there is dirt, dust, dead bugs and minor stains that need to be scrubbed throughout the garage. Not a big deal except that I specifically asked that the garage be cleaned & was assured it would be as part of the job. Despite having shared I was having the windows professionally cleaned, they lifted every window treatment which I didn't want them to do, and left on fans & lights throughout the house - not a huge deal but gives me extra jobs to take of myself which at this point is just a mild annoyance (bc not only do I have a bunch of other jobs to do while I'm there but I also have other professional services trying to work & needing my attention)... but again, an annoyance but not a huge deal. In the primary bedroom, there are roller shade window treatments with extra long curtains; When they lifted the roller shades, they did not take proper care of ensuring they did not get stuck on the curtains so all of the roller shades were crunched up from the weight of the curtains causing deep creases, which gave me yet another job of needing to return with steamer to straighten out the fabric on the roller shades - the lack of care exhibited is quite frustrating as this will probably take me about 2 - 3 hours time to fix on top of having to make an additional trip out to the property to take care of it which - 1.5 hour drive round trip. Then there was the simple question I asked one of the two women that were working which was if the fridge was cleaned, she said yes... Please know this question did not come out of nowhere as they had informed me they were done & they wanted me to look around to make sure the work they had done was good & complete. Upon looking at it, it had not been properly cleaned if it had even been cleaned as there were numerous spots with dirt/ grime/ food crumbs missed. I asked if they were sure it had been cleaned (bc mistakes can happen), and got an attitude back from the one woman. She then takes a dirty rag and wipes one of the shelves, throwing grime/ dirt/ food crumbs from the shelf onto the clean kitchen floor, again with a really uncalled for attitude. At this point, I'm extremely frustrated with the attitude & now throwing the dirt/grime/food onto the clean floor, and the growing list of jobs that I will just have to do myself, that I did ask them to go ahead & leave so I can take care of it properly. This adds 2 more jobs for me as I will need to do the fridge/ freezer myself so it is properly cleaned, and clean the kitchen floor again; Which means I have added about 5 jobs that will roughly cost me 4 hours of time I don't have which is why I hired a professional cleaning company in the first place. Frustrating & disappointing is an understatement. At any rate, to be fair the one woman called the office so they could ask if everything was cleaned, and I told them no it wasn't but I also didn't want them at my house anymore & would just do it myself. I do understand that it was my choice to just have them leave at this point; However, there is also a limit to how much bad attitude & having them waste my time that I will tolerate, and throwing the dirt/crumbs/grime on the floor went past my limit particularly when I know I am not only paying several hundred dollars but I'm kind enough to give a tip - it's not the great big tip that they would have received if the job was done correctly & without the attitude but it was a tip of appreciation for the part of the job that was done well (bathrooms, fans, floors). As I elected to have them just leave, it's also why I gave them 3 stars instead of the 1 star that the behavior actually earned. I've worked with several cleaning companies for move out/ move in cleaning preparations and this one was really stood out for being particularly disappointing & frustrating.
