I signed up for a cleaning on July 21st. The maid who showed up did a good, not amazing job. She was here 3.5 hours and I was charged for 5. When I inquired about the discrepancy, I was told the maid said she was here 5 hours. I took screenshots of my security footage showing 3.5 hours and sent to them. They wanted to offer a credit towards future services but only for one hour - not 1.5 hours. They then said they have a four hour minimum for cleanings which had not previously been disclosed and Amy who I spoke to could not show where this was listed. I wouldn't need 4 hours for ongoing cleanings after the first cleaning so I had to cancel any future cleanings. As for my refund for the time they charged but didn't work, I'm pursuing that via my credit card company. read more

This was not a good experience at all. The employee showed up with almost no supplies - we had to go get a vacuum, step stool and paper towels for her to use. I made it very clear that this was a move out cleaning and the unit would be completely empty. It was my understanding they would bring all required materials. After several hours and not hearing that it was finished and her not responding to calls I visited the unit and was very disappointed. Despite cleaning the completely empty kitchen for over 2 hours she hadn't thought to clean inside a single cabinet. I had to remind her that this needed to be done. The cleaning in the rest of the unit was just okay - there were clear areas she missed but after her being there several hours and repeatedly telling me she was tired I wanted to get the appointment over with. This was by far the worst cleaning appointment I have ever had. I was charged $350 for it without the money I spent going to get her supplies. It was totally not worth that money. read more

We paid $625 for this service and still had to spend hours cleaning after they left. We called to complain and they said they would give us a partial refund. Well that refund amounted to only $15. Do NOT go with this service. They grossly under quoted us when we asked for the cost to clean a new house we just closed on. Emin, the owner, made the payment terms and conditions intentionally unclear and complicated. This lack of transparency and honesty is a problem with their business strategy. I also have a huge problem with their actual work product - I saw the maids clean my bathroom cabinets but after they left, I went over the VERY SAME bathroom cabinet I saw them clean. See photo for the filth they left behind. This is not the extent of it. My other bathroom shower still had soap scum and the floor behind the toilet still had caked on dust and grime. I am also using a natural cleaner, so I'm not sure what they even did to clean. I am 8 months pregnant and can't clean for hours on end. Looks like I will have to clean my whole house for weeks AFTER wasting a bunch of money. I will never use Maid Green again. read more

Beware, price quoting is not accurate even after you tell them the size and measurements of your home! They always ask me to check their work and they are quick to act on anything I notice no matter how small. I once had workman over which prevented them from cleaning my bedroom. Even though Maid Green is based in Glenview, they service the city as well. I've used several cleaning services over the years, and Maid Green blows others out of the water. Emin and his crew cleaned my place from top to bottom, including places other cleaners don't touch, like tops of door frames. I like that they wore covers over their shoes so that they weren't tracking in dirt from outside. They use natural, peroxide-based cleaners that don't give off toxic fumes--my apartment was gleaming once they were finished, and it smelled good without smelling like gross cleaning products.
