Mahnke used to be amazing. When I had repairs done in 2021 they were very thorough and had great customer service. My car was recently rear-ended and I tried to bring the car here based on the previous experience. VERY POOR DECISION. Unfortunately, this is no longer a good company. I tried calling repeatedly for a month to be told they were having internet issues. After getting to the first call, they confirmed they would schedule the car once they ordered the parts. I followed up again via email and was told that they would reach out when all the parts were in. Two months later when I followed up again to ask if the parts were in and could we schedule the car, I was told they couldn't schedule my car until two months out from July. Then she came back to the line again and was told "Oh no, we will need to schedule in December." I have wasted 3 - 4 months hoping that somewhere in this once very good company a person would be able to help return it to a better place. I have definitely been disappointed. This is not a good company to bring your car for repair. The ownership has slipped and the staff is very incompetent. I thought as a repeat customer you might be considered good business and want to keep their business. The front office staff truly does not know how to handle people or schedule business. read more

These guys are the BEST!!! All the staffs and especially their manager. The both times I have been here for my Lexus 450RX's paint scratches, they have gone farrrr and beyond what is needed. Horrible. This is the third vehicle that I have had repaired by Mahnke. The first two were great, that last has been a disaster. Mahnke quoted the repair using original replacement parts. Instead, they used some poorly made Ford decal that did not match the originals on the vehicle and the decal they used was torn and looks terrible. Mahnke promised many times to get a new decal, and I kept calling to get status. I finally gave up, they never called back. Guess they just wanted the insurance money and could care less about making the vehicle correct. I gave two stars because the paint job was good. read more

Completely understand that y'all don't work with every major insurance company. However, refusing to do cash work estimates if a customer is unsure if they want to pay out of pocket, or file an insurance claim, only damages your credibility as a body shop and limits your customer base. read more

I feel it looks better now than when I rolled out of the dealership, and how that happened I don't know but I surely appreciate it! Mahnke Auto Body in Frederick is off the charts when it comes to not only the quality of service given to one's vehicle but the service behind the counter is off the charts as well. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE is friendly, knowledgeable and goes above and beyond in ensuring the customer is taken care of. I don't like the fact than anyone would ever have to use this type of service because of an accident or vandalism but when those days happen it is good to know there is a place that is here to HELP in every way possible. This company does not back up their warranties, even if it is in writing. They blame it on the parts and stated, therefore their warranty is void. I have had body individuals (that I trust) and they said it was not prepared properly and that is why the paint is coming off. Mahnke just uses that excuse to get out of fixing their mistake. Horrible company to do business with!!!! Oh, when you mention their reviews they disregard them and state that it is just someone upset with them. It's taken me awhile to leave a review, I like to wait a couple of months in case something pops up. It's been a couple of months and I have had no issues with the body work and paint. I am a very picky and detailing when it comes to my cars. Excellent Auto Body Shop. They do beautiful work. I had my 2017 Honda Civic in a crash. Can't even tell it was in an accident. The paint match and quality is flawless. Body panels line up perfectly. I had a family emergency and they were extremely patient, understanding and accommodating. They kept my car until I had things ironed out. I can't say enough of there "above and beyond" level of customer service. The office ladies kept me informed of the process, steps they were at in the repair and worked diligently with my Insurance. They even got things covered by my insurance that the insurance adjuster missed. Truly felt like they had my best interests and treated me like family. My wife took her Sonata in to fix some front end damage. The quote they gave was a little over a thousand, her deductible was $500. Two days after "fixing" the front end my wife was driving down the highway when part of the wheel well body panel a part that had been repaired, flew off at 70 mph. She was very lucky that it did not cause a traffic accident or injury. At first they tried to claim that is was not related to the work they had just done and parts sometimes just fly off cars. Only after getting our insurance agent involved did they admit it was related but then blamed the insurance adjuster for not seeing all the damage. After some finger pointing between them and the insurance company they finally agree to fix the issue. We will never use this company again. read more

I was rear ended in an auto accident and he pushed me into the car in front of me, so my poor truck had damage on both ends. We had the truck towed to Mahnke for the repairs since it's close to our house and they were scheduled to work on my husband's Subaru as well. The truck was repaired a week before they quoted me at, it looks brand new, and is running great! They put up with my hundreds of questions daily since I had never been in an accident before and they were so friendly. The same day I picked up my truck my husband's Subaru was ready too, and again, looks good as new! We will be taking our vehicles here for sure! read more

I had my Lexus there for some body work. When my wife dropped it off she specifically asked that it be put in the garage because a storm was coming. They said the would but they had to put the cars with no windows in first. The next day we found out they did not garage it and there was now $11,000 worth of hail damage. That is bad enough but when I went to pick it up from fixing that they had not replaced the windshield. The told me I needed to file another claim for that. When I got home I called the insurance company and they said bs and they needed to fix it. Even though they told me they could come out to my home for the windshield when I called they said I had to come in. Another 60 mile round trip and most of the day later it is finally fixed. I went for an estimate and was on time for my appointment. They were not, I waited for 30 min for someone to come back from lunch at 3:30pm. The estimator was rude and not friendly at all (to me or the other customer, who left angry about their service that day). She told me to call back and she will give me the estimate over the phone. Shout out to Steve Scheideier at Mahnke in Firestone & Safelite Auto Galass in Longmont for outstanding service on my wife's 2013 CRV. Safelite Auto Glass in Longmont came out to our home to replace windshield but found that a previous installation had caused damage to a metal piece holding the windshield. It turned out that Safelite had done all the previous installations and took complete responsibility. The metal piece needed to be welded before the new windshield could be reinstalled or the new windshield would probably leak. I called Mahnke, explained the situation & they agreed to weld the piece that day. All this was on a Friday. If Mahnke did not repair metal then, the CRV would have been without a windshield all weekend. Thanks to Safelite too for taking the responsibility & NOT installing the windshield until the metal piece was repaired properly. Great Customer Service from BOTH Mahnke & Safelite! read more

It was my fault. I wrecked my beautiful flawless Honda Pilot. No one was hurt, but I was devastated. My insurance State Farm highly recommended Mahnke Auto Body in Frederick. Honestly, I hoped for the best but knew there was no way the car would ever be the same again. I was nervous about picking it up. But all of that trepidation melted away when I was greeted by Steve Scheideler, General Manager, Jess Bernardy, Office Manager, and staff. The attention to detail--even before they brought out my car--was uncommon. The paperwork was all in order including a big surprise: All of the work done on the car (a lot) comes with a lifetime warranty (non-transferrable​, but I'll keep this car forever, trust me). Then I saw my car. Stunned. Speechless. Absolutely undetectable in any way that the car was in a wreck. AND they washed it, detailed it inside and out ... they sure didn't get it that way! After 3 weeks, I can detect not one thing--large or tiny--that is not pristine and absolutely perfect. Driving away from Mahnke that day was even better than driving it off the showroom floor. When I picked up my vehicle, the job was perfect. Super friendly and helpful staff, and the cleanest, neatest shop I have ever been in. Mahnke did a terrific job on repair my car doors. They did a very job on repairing the automotive body work. The staffs are very friendly. However there was a mishap happened to the transmission while my car was in their shop after a month. To make the long story short all party involved (my insurance, Mahnke, and me) came to an agreement that we will pay equally in fixing up the car. I thought that was fair and it was cool that Sam the district manager called me and apologized. I could see that he is a man of strong conviction in making thing right and takes pride in his family business. After another month of finding the right part I got my car back. Since it took another month to have my car repair the shop paid for my part of the repair plus the deductible. I only paid for the whole month rental car. Sam is a man true to his words. It is true that we won't learn if there is no failure. I will definitely come back to Mahnke for repair again because Sam has regain my trust in them. read more
