I showed up to my early morning appointment around 5 minutes early, it took me about 50 minutes to be taken to a room. The older nurse who got my initial information was INCREDIBLY rude, as if I was the one who was an hour late. She proceeded to be extremely rude to me (smirking and rolling her eyes?) and dismissive about my current glasses prescription, and acted like it was an inconvenience just to speak to me. She then dilated my eyes without any warning, and left me in an extremely bright hallway with no explanation or glasses to wear. I have never had an eye exam before, so this was pretty jarring and uncomfortable. I can't even imagine what it would've felt like if I hadn't had someone with me. We then waited ANOTHER hour to be taken to an exam room, then waited another 45 minutes for the doctor to come in. The doctor made no effort to understand why I was there in the first place, the vision symptoms I'd been experiencing, and he and all assisting staff acted as if I was a great inconvenience to them once again. Do NOT go to this place if you can help it. If you do, be prepared to meet the rudest staff members you'll find at a doctor's office. I can't imagine ever treating my clients like this. To top it all off, I received one of the largest bills for an exam I've ever had, all for the most useless appointment I've ever experienced. Seriously, save your time and money and go somewhere else.

When they didn't do the exams they had my wife in for, he flipped out when she asked why. He started screaming get out of my office. He chased her to the reception area. When I asked what was going on. I was told it's his off and he runs it as he wishes. They then told me he wanted us removed and if we didn't leave he was calling the police, 911. I am also a patient and was told we weren't wanted in his office anymore.

That is why I know of him. He took care of my parents and their cataracts and my mother's glaucoma and my OWN "suspected structure" for glaucoma. He is very careful and very precise. He doesn't skip anything. The staff haven't been any problem. Yes, he has assistance who will see you first before he does and it can take a while. You're seeing a surgeon specialist when you go to see him. He's got a lot of patients. I haven't seen anybody griping like these two jerks did in here who now make it look like this is a one star place when it's actually the premiere place for getting glaucoma checked for in this area. Dr Fanous remembers all his patients and he's a very nice man. He works his tail off from what I have seem. He doesn't do this for the money because he would've already retired by now. I am appalled that the only reviews here when I arrived were by two people that haven't even been to the office but once and didn't even see him and didn't get to know his work and don't know what they're talking about. I don't think that should be allowed. I think you should have to actually be seen by a doctor before you review him. He is such a highly skilled doctor that he is sought internationally and has even gone overseas to provide care pro bono at times. I haven't ever had any problem with Dr Fanous's work and I've been going to him since around 2009. The only thing I noticed recently that could be better is that he has switched recently to a web billing that is confusing but that just started recently. I kind of liked the regular billing people that he previously used but again this is something very recent and it isn't something that's a big deal and it's not something that the two hit pieces that I see on this page referenced. They were just out to slime him over having to wait or being scheduled for a first visit his normal way -- NEITHER SMEAR AUTHOR ACTUALLY WENT TO AN APPOINTMENT WITH HIM. He's not doing anything unusual in his office procedure. I'm giving him five stars because he's that good and he's done very good cataracts work as a surgeon too with my father. He absolutely deserves that and more for his long years of skillful service and attentive care.

I got to the appointment about 10 minutes early, they had all the paperwork ready for me to be filled out, and took me back into a room right on time. I was completely done about 35 minutes later. I have both health insurance and Humana exam and materials vision insurance. My exam today was an annual exam to get prescription updates for both glasses and contacts. This is covered with a $10 copay with my vision insurance. I did agree for "additional" tests which I was told would be scheduled a few months later which would require the use of my health insurance at that time. However when I left my visit, without having the "additional testing" which I was told would cost $65.00 at a later date, I was presented with a $127 copay, and they used my health insurance instead of vision insurance. I didn't purchase contacts/glasses- and did NOT agree to any additional testing other than what I was told would be scheduled at a later date. Quinn eye center office mgt. chose to use my health insurance instead of my vision insurance adding one item (which I had NOT previously agreed to not been informed of cost) claiming they were "saving" me money. When I attempted to resolve this issue, speaking with both Christine and John Michael, I received 2 different rationales for this cost. I cannot recommend an eye doctor who charges a $127 copay for annual eye exam when the patient has vision insurance that would cover these items with only a $10.00 copay. After appointment, I called my Humana vision insurance representative who indeed told me that both contact and eyeglass prescriptions are included in their annual eye exam with only a $10 copay. It is very sad because we have been loyal patients for years. I CANNOT in good conscience recommend them any more.
