The employee told me the only person who can replace a battery would be there at 9:15 AM, so I waited in my car. After waiting around and not wanting to risk shutting my car off, I even drove to a mechanic to confirm whether it was my battery or alternator. The mechanic confirmed it was just the battery. I came back to O'Reilly at around 9:30 AM expecting the employee who could install the battery to be there, only to be told he was running late. Meanwhile there were about five employees in the store and apparently none of them could replace a battery. What's the point of advertising battery installation if no one there can actually do it? This situation wasted a lot of my time and caused unnecessary stress when I was already dealing with a dead battery.

After calling the store later, I was told that the person who can replace the battery doesn't come in until after 2 PM. It would have been really helpful if someone had told me that before I drove there the first time. I understand staffing issues happen, but when someone comes in with a dead battery situation, clear communication goes a long way. A simple "the installer isn't here until 2 PM" would have saved me a lot of time and stress.

The staff is excellent and try to assist you in all aspects of auto part buying. They have a small private parking area which is very convenient since it is very hard to find a spot in downtown Lynn. The 3rd time Toyota sent a factory rep down to Atlantic Service and my claim was denied for what I thought would be just another warranty claim. I was on the hook for a very expensive repair of 2200 dollars. I made phone calls and pleaded my case and the Owner of Atlantic Toyota called me up at work and said he would eat the bill. This is above and beyond what I would expect. Denied from the factory only to have the owner say, " I will take care of it". I have bought three Tacomas at Atlantic and I will be buying my 4th there and continue to do business with Atlantic. You just don't get that type of valued customer service anymore.

I haven't worked on old cars for a while. Today, I needed a part for one of my vintage muscle cars. It was only a small part, but not available at an ordinary parts store. I called: they had it in stock. When I got there, the owner (Dave) was as friendly & helpful as I remember him being back when I spent a lot more time working on hot rods. I'm so glad that this store is still around!
