I drove straight to AutoZone hoping to have the battery tested and replaced. When I got there, the employee said he could test the battery, but I explained that I didn't want to shut the car off unless they were able to replace it right away. He then told me the person who can replace batteries wasn't there at the moment. So I had to leave and drive around trying to figure out what to do next. After calling the store later, I was told that the person who can replace the battery doesn't come in until after 2 PM. It would have been really helpful if someone had told me that before I drove there the first time. I understand staffing issues happen, but when someone comes in with a dead battery situation, clear communication goes a long way. A simple "the installer isn't here until 2 PM" would have saved me a lot of time and stress.

The staff is excellent and try to assist you in all aspects of auto part buying. They have a small private parking area which is very convenient since it is very hard to find a spot in downtown Lynn. The cost of parts and supplies here are excellent values as they usually below all the stores selling the same thing and definitely way below dealer cost. The 3rd time Toyota sent a factory rep down to Atlantic Service and my claim was denied for what I thought would be just another warranty claim. I was on the hook for a very expensive repair of 2200 dollars. I made phone calls and pleaded my case and the Owner of Atlantic Toyota called me up at work and said he would eat the bill. This is above and beyond what I would expect. Denied from the factory only to have the owner say, " I will take care of it". I have bought three Tacomas at Atlantic and I will be buying my 4th there and continue to do business with Atlantic. You just don't get that type of valued customer service anymore.

I called a few places listed on InterstateBatteries.com as distributors and dealers. This shop had the lowest price (even slightly below the recommended retail price). Over the phone Roberto has confirmed that they had the battery in stock, and said that while they don't install, but they will try to see if they can help with that. When I came, Chris quickly went out to look at the old battery in order to confirm that it would be the right size. Roberto and Chris verified for me that the battery was fresh (manufactured within the previous month). When I had problems because the contact clips were a bit loose on the terminals, Chris came out and made a helpful suggestion that was the right idea. Even thought they don't have restrooms for customers, , when I needed to wash my hands, they let me inside their back space, so I could wash my hands. Chris and Roberto (and there was a 3rd sales person whose name I didn't catch) were very friendly, patient and helpful not only with/to me, but to all other customers. If I will need any other parts in this area, I'll choose this store.
