What is the best customer service in the world? Think about that for a moment. You are in a tight spot, you call multiple vendors. The shop you have been going to for 15 years don't have the time to help you or are too faraway. My car had been totaled. And it was faraway from home in Salem, MA. It had very expensive speakers and amplifier which I had to remove before it was sent to salvage. I called everyone I knew. I was desperate to get my stuff off the car. I talked to some people I could barely understand. I called a shop where some weird music was being played as their ring tone. Auto Sound saved my life! I had given up on good customer support in this world. Whether you pay $1k per month or $70k per month I have seen some bad customer support. I can tell you these guys rank high up there with the best of the best. I can give you names of some big corporate businesses where no matter how much money you throw at them you get bad support. This is how customer support should look like and I can tell you there were the best people I have ever talked to about anything, anywhere. There was some real empathy for my situation. They went above and beyond. Well beyond above and beyond. If I am spending $100 on anything, after this experience I would like it to go to these folks. At the end of the day, it does not matter what they are selling and which brands they deal with. These people will look after you with the kind of empathy you probably only see from close family. Don't take your money elsewhere. If you have anything to do with anything in cars, you won't get better looked after anywhere else. I have a weekly review with a company, my company pays big bucks to deal with. I am adding this place to the list of best customer support from any vendor I have seen - in the big leagues. Drove there today around 3:00 pm looking for some information and a quote to replace my factory radio/5disc changer in my 2008 Jeep Wrangler. Wanted something with CarPlay and Bluetooth capabilities. Drove out less than an hour later with new Sony touchscreen stereo installed. I got lucky due to a cancellation, but was amazing that they could accommodate me right then and there for a very reasonable price. Sound quality is better than it ever has been with the new stereo. I had a lot of work done on my trucks and my sons car. I was always happy with the work and service. last time I had insta a radio on one of my trucks. I was surprised of the amount they charged. The install for one our jumped from $125 to $200. I saw the guy who did the work after 40 minutes in the back of the place smoking. I've had really good experiences here, including today. I had a starter put in about 3 years ago when my dealership installed starter stopped working. They installed onsite at my office, were really nice and fast, and I thought the cost was fully on par with anything else around. The installer even explained why my first starter wasn't working, it wasn't hooked up very well, etc. My starter has been great, no issues until last week when it randomly started on its own a couple of times. I could turn it off, but it was a little weird. I called, they saw me quickly and replaced my fobs citing that most of the time one is sticky/old and it just needs to be replaced. Next day it started again on its own so I called back. I brought it in today and they replaced my whole starter with the newest version and parts. They couldn't find a glaring issue so this was the best solution. What did I owe them? Nothing. Andy told me they just wanted a happy, satisfied customer. I am that customer! Thank you, guys! This place was awesome! Mike and Gerry helped and they couldn't of been any nicer. I had gone to another brand store to get a radio for my Jeep Wrangler and I was having trouble with My AmFm radio. It wast working. I even went back to where I bought the stereo and their conclusion was ut was my antenna. I got a new one and nothing. I was at the end of my ropes when I decided to go to autosound! My first mistake was going somewhere else. Never do that again! Mike and Gerry analyzed it and fixed it! No charge! Amazing! They didn't have to (it wasn't their issue) So happy with everything! This place makes it very easy to spend your cash !!! I went in just before Christmas and a guy in the back office put down his lunch because there were 3 customers and only 1 sales person. He explained my remote starter options with no hype or high pressure. I e-mailed a few days later and got an appointment for an install on the day and time I wanted( I love places that I can deal with without a telephone !!) .... and it was ready for pickup just as promised. The thing works great and there was no need for an extra key AND his price was significantly less than the other place I tried in Peabody. The wife is very happy .... but that often is short lived although not the fault of Auto Sound !! read more

PS to an earlier positive review. Several years ago I got an after-market back up camera from Auto Sound. It's worked great until a few days ago when the screen went blank. They fixed it this morning. It was a broken wire. Not their fault at all but they said no change. The folks there know what they are doing. And they obviously enjoy their work. The entire process was simple and didn't take too long to replace and install. The salesmen were very nice and when I went in to visit the store on a Thursday afternoon, they immediately found the right head unit I wanted for my car which ultimately didn't cost me too much in the long run. When I went back on a following Tuesday, the radio was installed in a half hour and I was out of there in plenty of time to go to work. Auto Sound does not know what they are doing. And they do not care about your car or you at all. DO NOT let them touch your car. Unfortunately I Purchased a Remote Start from them and they installed it. Since, I have had nothing but problems. Bottom line is they did not install it correctly. I went back to have them uninstall the starter, and they did not even do that correctly. They spend 30 seconds removing the system and left loose wires and connections. Auto Sound insisted there was something wrong with my car. Well, yes there was because they created the problem. They took no responsibility what so ever. Then, the electrical system caused the car to start randomly, the alarm to sound randomly, the battery to die twice and the dash lights to flash. Bought a new battery from AAA and took the car to the Dealer. $500 later, after the Dealership fixed what Auto Sound did to the electrical system, it was finally fixed. read more

Guys are great. They even opened early so I could get my Acura in fast. The install took about 2 hrs and I was ready for that with IPad and charging cable. Comfy couch, reading material needs updating. Lighting could be better, but these are small things compared to how nice it is to have a remote start and keyless entry. They will even come to your house to install anything!! Be sure to check the weather, cause if it's raining they can't work in that. Please don't bring your vehicle for any service to be done at this terrible place. I brought my car to install a remote starter and I spent a few hundred of dollars for this service. I noticed my car had trouble starting up. I even had to call Triple A for road assistance because my car didn't start up at all and the technician mentioned the wiring of the remote starter was done incorrectly. I brought my vehicle to my Subaru to have it inspected and they advised me to bring it back to the place I had it installed and have the remote starter removed, because this was the cause of the problem for my car problem. I went back to this place and had to pay another $50 for the removal. I told them the reason why it was being removed and they didn't care to refund me nor apologized for the inconvenience. I will continue telling others about my story and my experience with this terrible place. They don't deliver the best customer experience and the technicians are not knowledgeable. Whoever the technician was who did my installation of the remote starter obviously doesn't know how to do his job. read more
