It is going to be a STRONG. NO for me!! I had my heart set on eating at Salalta - but when I arrived on a Saturday afternoon I discovered they were closed. I needed something in my belly and this spot was open so I decided to give it a try. First - service was basic. I felt like I was being a burden by walking in and patronizing. Crazy thing is - I was the only customer !! You would think they would be happy to see a customer ! Second- the food was a miss. You can tell from the picture that it was not fresh! It tasted like it was from yesterday's spread and not fresh. Maybe coming on a Saturday is not the best time to experience this spot. First impressions are lasting, and this one did not leave a good taste in my mouth.

I've tried this restaurant twice and had two different experiences when it came to the food. During my first visit I was in the area on a Tuesday afternoon around 2pm and figured I would stop for a quick healthy lunch before getting on the road to head back home which is a two plus hour drive. There are so many restaurants in the area so it's very hard to choose based on radius. I chose Mahana Fresh due to the high reviews and close proximity to where my appointment was at. Their website to order online was user friendly. You can make your meal as healthy as you would like, giving you the option of several bases like sesame noodles, cauliflower rice, or spinach to name a few. I chose the Mahana bowl, and it came with spinach, shrimp, Brussel Sprouts, and broccoli. My meal was ready in about 10 minutes. When I arrived a friendly staff member greeted me and handed me my bag. The restaurant was empty as to be expected at such an odd hour. The ambiance was very casual, with a walk up counter and open seating. My meal the first time was surprisingly delicious. The shrimp and veggies were prepared well and the cilantro ranch sauce paired well with my bowl. My second visit was similar to the first with the same time of day on a Monday. Same great service and my meal was similar but this time I ordered buffalo cauliflower and brussel sprouts with shrimp over spinach. The veggies were excellent, I probably should have gotten a Veggie bowl. The shrimp were mushy with a fishy taste, I tried one and removed the rest of them from my meal, they were clearly not fresh. If you are looking for fresh well made veggies then this restaurant is worth giving a try.

I stopped in for a quick lunch here, and was pleasantly surprised with all the options. The food was very tasty as well! Love dedicated GF spots especially when they offer mac & cheese! I had the CITRUS GARLIC SHRIMP BOWL (GF) (basmati rice, garlicky cilantro green beans, honey sriracha brussels, citrus garlic shrimp, cilantro vinaigrette sauce) and I also bought a chocolate chip cookie for the road! The lady working the food serving was very nice and patient as I decided, and it was nice to have the whole place to myself as most people take their orders to go.

I ordered online. They have promo buy 1 get 1. I like this type of promo. So I can try more without spending too much money. The food is tasty. I got BBQ Luau Bowl and Chicken Gyro bowl. The bbq, love the chicken. Tender and smokey. The gyro, I love the mix veggies and rice with tzatziki sauce. The packaging is nice and enough portion. I think the service is good. I don't know about the restaurant ambiance yet. Need to go there.

We had this place for lunch, and it was not great. The biscuit was very dry, and everything felt undercooked except for the steak which was very over cooked. The only upside were the sauces. We got this delivered, so I can't talk much on the service or the ambiance of the place.

Green smoothie sub mango for banana + vanilla protein powder (I took a few sips before snapping a pic)
Kyja W.

I had pretty high expectations based on many of the reviews I saw on Google as well as Yelp, so I decided to give it a try! I wanted something healthy for lunch. I chose a green smoothie and asked to sub Mango instead of Banana as well as add vanilla protein powder. I had a hard time finding the smoothie ingredients on the website but found it in a picture on their Facebook page. That's how I knew what I wanted because the UberEats page doesn't say what's in the smoothie and as I said, I couldn't find it on their site. I also got the Big Mahana Bowl and selected what I felt to be a good mix of proteins carbs and fats. I got sesame noodles because I was feeling that over rice today and spinach as my base, with sesame ginger broccoli, roasted sweet potatoes, avocado smash, tomato cucumber salad, Key West chicken, spicy ahi tuna, and citrus ginger dressing as well as coconut sweet potato dressing. I can't speak on ambiance because I ordered through UberEats, but service was quick and accurate on getting me everything I selected. Everything was packaged safely and nicely. My drink was secured in a plastic sealed bag and my food was stapled inside a brown paper bag. I drank my smoothie in a flash! It wasn't the best I'd ever had but it got the job done. As for the food, it was just okay. The portions are huge which is nice, but I wish the quality/tastes were better. The noodles were very over cooked and soggy, the chicken was pretty tough, and the tuna had several chewy pieces (but also several tender ones). However, the broccoli and sweet potatoes were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The spinach was standard, as was the avocado. The tomato cucumber salad was tasty. I preferred the citrus ginger dressing to the coconut sweet potato dressing, but I chose to put both on my meal. All in all, everything was just... okay. Perhaps I chose the wrong item(s). I would be open to giving a second chance, perhaps rice next time with maybe more veggies or the tofu instead of a meat option. Regardless, I am thankful to have been served and for the experience.

Macaroni and cheese. Despite spending 15 minutes in a car before hand, there was not enough heat to melt the cheese.
Dan D.

A mixed bag, or so it seems. 1. I am not gluten free, and I did not know that Mahana Fresh's specialty is being gluten free until I came to post a review. 2. I ordered this meal from Uber Eats. Your experience may vary. I ordered a teriyaki bowl and a side of macaroni and cheese. I got these BOGO through Ubereats. The mac and cheese might have been the worst mac and cheese I've ever eaten and this includes the time I tried to use almond milk when I made Kraft Mac and Cheese. First, this came to me cold. The cheese on top hadn't melted. This is NOT an Uber Eats problem. I could understand if it was cold because of a time delay, but this was clearly never heated through. As such, I needed to reheat this immediately upon receipt to eat it. The joy doesn't stop here. The noodles had no integrity whatsoever. They were so mushy that I did not need my teeth or gums to break this pasta down. I was able to sufficiently mash the macaroni against the roof of my mouth with my tongue. The sauce was flavorless and watery. Despite having a second one in my fridge, I will likely dispose of this. As someone who will tolerate nearly anything when it comes to food, the fact that I'm choosing to not eat food I have in my possession speaks volumes. If I only had gotten the macaroni, this would have been a 1 star. The Teriyaki Bowl didn't have a lot of teriyaki flavor, but it was excellent. I found that the main flavors were from the wasabi cream sauce and the coconut rice, but this was still a great bowl with lots of protein, good flavor, and balance. I cannot emphasize this enough, the macaroni and cheese is terrible. Everything else though? Really good! If I had just gotten the bowl this would definitely would have been a 4, maybe a 5 star review.

Large bowl with glass noodles, coconut, rice, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, teriyaki chicken, and tofu
J B.

Totally fresh and flavorful food. A wonderful variety of flavors. And shockingly, every single thing in the kitchen is gluten-free. Everything I tried was delicious. My favorites that I got were the coconut rice, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, and tofu. The glass noodles were fabulous, but I'm going to take them home to heat them up since they are served chilled. The chicken was very flavorful, but I prefer leaner pieces so I will probably skip that protein next time. My favorite sauces were the teriyaki and the orange sauce with black sesame seeds. The employees are very kind and helpful. I can't wait to come back.

Great place for Healthy food! Plenty of parking and the staff are amazing. I'm on a Plant base diet and this is my go to spot

BBQ Luau Bowl*

OMG their food is amazzzzzzzing!! I'm normally hesitant about trying new gluten free restaurants because the dishes are either to dry or doesn't have flavor. But this place...... whew! I tried the BBQ Luau Bowl and added buffalo cauliflower. The bowl was so good, that I did not have to use the ginger sauce that was paired with the dish. I'll definitely be back! Oh, the snickerdoodle was perfect as well

Umm.. two bagels. Put them in a bag, hand them to me. Easy. But no. I waited at that window, watching the two employees making sandwiches, while I'm waiting for TWO AS-IS BAGELS. What?!? THEN, I see dude in the back cutting, what looks like the two flavors of the bagels I ordered AS IS, so I say "Sir, no! That's not how I want them or ordered them." To receive ZERO response. Again, listening skills are NOT A STRONG POINT HERE. Will not be back. Took WAY too long for two AS IS bagels that I could have actually grabbed with tongs myself from the open baskets, but not knowing if that was allowed, I didn't. Instead, it took near 10 minutes what could have taken 20 seconds. Just baffling. So, to answer the question "What could improve?" The bowl options looked fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a quick but satisfying meal. We arrived around 11:45 a.m., just before the lunch rush. I ordered the barbecue chicken bowl with black rice. Overall, my bowl was pretty good. The portions were solid, the ingredients tasted fresh, and it was filling without feeling heavy. My coworkers ordered the Greek bowl and what I believe was a teriyaki style bowl. The only strong feedback we had was regarding the seasoning on the Greek bowl. I noticed the seasoning appeared to be sprinkled on top of the chicken after the bowl was assembled. I think if the chicken were tossed in the seasoning beforehand, it would create a more impactful flavor throughout. As it was, my coworker felt the bowl leaned slightly bland because the seasoning did not fully incorporate. What truly stood out to me was the customer service. I believe the owner came in while we were there, and he was incredibly pleasant and hands on. As the lunch crowd grew, it was clear he remembered returning customers and even their usual orders. That level of attentiveness makes a difference. I would definitely return to try more menu options. Next time, I may ask for extra sauce or seasoning to give the bowl a stronger flavor boost. Overall, it is a great lunch spot with solid bowl options in Sandy Springs

Couldn't have been happier with our choice. Reviews I'd seen online mentioned parking is a bit limited and that the restaurant is frequently busy. However we got very lucky with parking and happened to come in right as someone was leaving. I was sure we would have a wait for a table, which of course would have been fine, but actually we were seated immediately! Which was super nice and unexpected. The atmosphere is bustling but not in a bad way. The restaurant itself is adorable and has a lot of character. It feels like you're having breakfast at an old friend's house. What I'll say about Farm Burger however is that it's not so much the burgers that stood out to me (even though the one that I had was pretty tasty), but the fries. In all of my years trying out various burger spots and restaurants, none has impressed me thus far regarding its fries like Farm Burger did. The "FB Fries" (which I'm assuming stands for "Farm Burger Fries") are one of the rare exceptions where I felt that I didn't desperately need multiple packets of ketchup to enjoy a side of fries. The seasonings, herbs, and parmesan cheese were the perfect flavorful combination that challenged my natural instinct to grab a bit of ketchup to help it down. Truly a feat in my eyes. As for the burgers itself, I had the custom burger which I customized with: double patty, pepper jack cheese, tomato, lettuce, bacon, sautéed mushrooms, smoked paprika mayo, and sherry date BBQ. I quite enjoyed this physically concoction that I crafted. Not particularly mind blowing in flavor, but the amount of creative power that I had to make my own super sized burger filled with satisfying toppings and ingredients was exciting being the food lover that I am.

For $26, I got a ton of food and 90% of it was absolutely delectable. And I say that with an 8-year-old in tow who enjoyed it too! Let's start with the never again item: the Flossy Bun. It's a popular Chinese pastry made with soft, sweet bread filled and topped with sweet and savory pork floss... allegedly. There weren't any descriptions, so I looked it up online. But let me tell you--no. Just no. I don't get how it's popular. Definitely a cultural preference, and it's not for me. I even paused mid-bite hoping I'd grow into the flavor. Nope. Then there was the Coffee Butter Cream Pastry. I thought at the very least my fiancée would like it since she enjoys coffee flavors. That was another miss. I even gave some to two little ones, and the faces they made reminded me of the time I tried canned octopus. That's how bad the flavor was. But now to the good stuff--because the rest? Fire. BBQ Pork Bun - Yummy! Not packed with meat, but enough to enjoy and super easy to pull apart. I really wish they offered a heated option for this, because that would've put it over the top. Japanese Milk Cream Bun - Super creamy. I do wish it had just a little more cream inside, but the bread was so soft and delicious, I honestly didn't care. Hot Dog Cheese Bun - I got this for the little one and I've never seen a child eat something so fast. I'm taking that as a solid win. Egg Tart - Grabbed this from the front warmer after watching another customer snag one. I had missed it earlier. Not totally my thing on its own, but when I got home and added a little chili paste? Devoured. Hong Kong Boba Milk Tea - I went with this instead of the brown sugar version and kind of regret it, but it wasn't bad at all. All in all, the prices are great, the flavors were mostly on point, and the man at the register was super friendly and open to answering questions. Yeah--I'm sold. Looking forward to coming back!

10/10 I'm still…read moredreaming about how good this butter and thick cut bacon this is! The service was great and the vibes weren't given iHop or Waffle House but just very home Ma & Pa feel. I loved how you can get anything on the menu and they let you substitute items. Will be back!

I was waiting around for something in the area so I decided to stop in and get some breakfast…read morebecause I don't think I ate dinner that night. Came in and sat at the bar area, not liquor but more of a breakfast bar situation. The server greeted me after I was seated and we had a good conversation before I got the menu in my hand. She was really really cool. If you're coming here, it has plenty of space on the outside as far as the parking goes and it's free. On the inside. There's plenty of spaces as well if you want to bring a larger party. It's very nice and very clean and very bright and good aesthetics to it. Egg Barrington - So this was like a Benedict kind of dish. It came out good and the sauce came out hot and it had a very savory taste to it. Came with grits, the grits were very good and creamy, needed a little doctoring up with some salt and pepper but that's not a big deal. No problem at all. Oddly enough, one of these also came with a salad. Which at 9:00 a.m. My salad is very interesting LOL but the salad was fresh and the dressing was pretty good but I didn't really come ready for that so I didn't really eat it but I tasted it a few times and it was pretty good. California club - It was like 9:00 in the morning and I have no idea why. I wanted a club sandwich but it was a pretty good club sandwich though. Nothing amazing but it was a solidly built club. Very nice size as well. Had home fries with this and there were plenty of them and they were very crispy. I really like this spot, I've been to it a few times. Just not to that specific one. No complaints.

I have been here twice, one for a birthday dinner with a larger party and one for a quiet lunch…read morewith a friend. Both experiences were amazing. I got their veggie lasagna the first time I came. It was good, and even better the next day. Yes, enough to take home leftovers! I really loved the vibe for dinner. Cozy and romantic. When I came in for lunch, it was just as cozy and romantic! Bougie brunch vibes! We got two pizzas because we were undecided and tried both. Both were delicious! Can't wait to come back again!!

Novo Cucina is super cute inside with a nice patio outside. Lots of parking. We went on a Tuesday…read morenight and it was packed. Our waiter was very attentive and our waters were constantly refilled. (I will note, we had to call to make a reservation because of the size of our group, and we had to call SO many times to get through to someone. A couple people dropped out day of, and we tried calling to let them know and couldn't get through.) I appreciate that they have several vegetarian items! I had a hard time choosing. I ordered the vegetarian lasagna, which was "deconstructed." It was really yummy and a good sized portion. I would've liked more veggies but that's personal preference. One of my friends is gluten free and said the gf pizza is amazing. The waiter was very knowledgeable about what had gluten in it. One is allergic to garlic and our waiter worked with the kitchen to create a dish for her (there were only a couple options on the menu they thought were safe). Others got the ravioli, risotto with chicken, and spaghetti and meatballs, and everyone enjoyed their dishes. For dessert, we got the gelato trio (the fudge brownie and coffee chocolate chip were SO good), and they put a candle in one of the scoops for the birthday girl. Two got the chocolate bread pudding which was interesting, and one got the tiramisu and enjoyed it. It was very loud inside, so it was hard to hear each other, and it was uncomfortably warm. By the end of dinner, I couldn't wait to get outside and cool down.
