The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean, and has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food is consistently excellent, and the service always makes the experience even better. A big shoutout to Jerry Costanza, the owner, who is one of the kindest and most humble people you'll meet. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests and the experience they have at the restaurant. Donna, who greeted us when we arrived, was incredibly welcoming and set the tone for the evening. Our waiter, Michael, was above amazing--attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. It's rare to find a place that delivers great food, excellent service, and genuine hospitality every time, but La Bistecca does exactly that. If you're looking for a wonderful Italian restaurant in the Plymouth area, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Perhaps it was the Piedmontese and a great grade, it was juicy, about 2.5" thick, cooked perfectly and loaded with flavor. Even the beans were done masterfully- without too much butter - enhancing, not smothering- my friend rarely eats his veggies and he ate 90% of them! The risotto was creamy and flavorful. Service: 5/5 fine Ambiance: 5/5 This is lit for romance- very dimly lit. Great wine choices. Value: $78 for dinner is a lot even for great steak. (Alexanders is $60 for Angus/starch/big salad). The cocktails are stunning, the food (whether brunch or dinner) is consistently memorable, and apparently every plate is so beautiful that I feel compelled to photograph it. Beyond the food, the service is always exceptional. The staff strikes that perfect balance of polished and warm, making every visit feel like a special occasion. And then there's the atmosphere. The abundant natural light, thoughtful seasonal décor, and the undeniable gravitas of a beautifully restored former bank create an experience that feels both elegant and welcoming. The Ledger is absolutely worthy of being a destination restaurant for celebrations and milestones. But the biggest compliment I can give it is this: we don't save it only for special occasions. Whenever we're nearby, we make a point to stop because the food, drinks, and experience are just that good and the seasonal specials never stay as long as you'd hope. And of course, the speakeasy downstairs is always the perfect end to the night.

She's attentive and on it, the rest of the staff made sure our dishes were cleared, drinks were topped off. Ordered Brussel chips, fat-sar salad, Lobster Mac N Cheese, truffle fries, G.O.A.T. 22, trumpet scallop pad Thai. $170.66 The Brussel chips, lobster Mac and the trumpet scallops (mushrooms) Pad Thai noodles were good at least. The G.O.A.T., Fat-sar and truffles were all underwhelming for me. Their tomahawk steaks are huge, table next to us got two cut up table side. You can smell the smoke flavor from the old fashioned drinks as soon as you walk in the door.

The grits in particular were excellent! My mom liked her potatoes but she did say she was a little jealous of the grits and took a few forkfuls from me. The benedict was also very good, served on a biscuit rather than the traditional english muffin, which I liked very much. Mine was a little light on the hollandaise so I would ask for a bit more of that next time. I also had an iced frozen latte which was quite good! Like many folks right now we're avoiding raw mixed greens so we both skipped those with our meals but even without it was still plenty of food. We also ordered beignets, a mix of powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar, with chocolate and foster's sauce (caramel) on the side. To me the beignets read more like a popover than a beignet but they were still good. Loved that they came warm and the foster's sauce was really nice! Our server was awesome and checked in on us regularly. Food came quickly, too. We did have to wait about 30 minutes for a table but it wasn't too bad and they'll take your number so you don't have to stay too close if you'd prefer to wait in your car (not much else to do around there, unless you're feeling like browsing Office Max next door). Overall a very solid dining experience and we both remarked we'd be eager to return again soon!

If you are looking to a quiet place to gab with your gal pals, this is the place! There was only ONE food item I tried that was worth consuming, except you can't really take it with you - the hot fudge on the ice cream! Please sell this in jars, the taste rivals Sanders! But, everything else I tried? Barely edible. Sampled 4 ice cream flavors , just because I was trying to find one that was palatable, settled on vanilla because I felt bad sampling more flavors...the ice cream is very poor quality. Being a Michigan company, I am surprised that they don't have Guernsey ice cream? That would be a welcome improvement for sure! Purchased 3-4 chocolates to go, I think one with cherries, another with maple, maybe a coconut, and a Buckeye. Let me preface this with the fact I love chocolate...after one bite of each, I threw them away. And the Buckeye was so revolting I automatically spit it out...what kind of peanut butter tastes like that?! I wish you were better, Alpine Chocolate Haus. :(

Some of the best hot chocolates I've ever had are from chocolate shops (makes sense) so I had high hopes. The price was quite reasonable I think for a premium hot chocolate, $4.99 for a dark hot chocolate with Mayan spice (cinnamon, cayenne, etc.) added. There was an option to add whipped cream and marshmallows but I opted out. The cocoa was excellent - delightfully chocolatey and definitely spicy - it definitely had a kick. I would order again in a heartbeat - maybe it's a good thing for my body that I don't live that close to Plymouth. They also have a nice array of chocolates, very similar to classic chocolate shops. I bought a couple of dark chocolate covered cherries and dark chocolate honeycomb chips for my mother and she loved them and she can normally be very picky about these type of chocolates. She said they were very fresh and the cherry flavor of the chocolate covered cherries was excellent. These were probably her favorite chocolates she's had in the last ten years or so. Alpine Chocolate Haus was definitely a winner and we'll be back whenever we're in Plymouth.

Does everyone else have great bosses? Since it was early in the evening, I ordered from both the Social Hour (only available until 6pm) and Bar Menus. There were a couple of items that looked interesting, including goat cheese bites, crab cakes, and spicy tuna wontons. But there was no question that I would have the Beef Wellington bites. I'm always in the mood for Beef Wellington, even before Gordon Ramsay made it popular again. I knew that it would be odd to have both Beef Wellington and a bar burger in the same meal, but I just wanted both. The Wellington included chopped beef in a flaky pastry, complemented by raspberry jam drizzles. When my bacon cheeseburger, prepared medium-rare, came, I was too full for more than one bite. Bummer. The cheeseburger was okay, similar to what I would get at an upscale burger place. In fact, it was smaller than what I remembered the last time I was here, but still quite large, and the bun was definitely fresher. And the fries were also better, hot, crispy, with just the right amount of salt. The onion rings with the spicy sauce were also quite nice. They were also hot and crispy. Service was fantastic. I appreciated the staff's professionalism and the warm atmosphere they created.
