I'm African American and my mom is veryyy old school so she was always telling me never to use tampons, & honestly it just kinda felt like everything in my family was taboo when it came to anything having to do with the genital area! One of my girlfriends has been nagging me for years to try a Brazilian, so one day I finally decided to give it try! I seriously lucked out because when I did my Google search Elaine at Brazilian Honey Wax came up! A little nervous, I went in for my first appointment! Elaine was the sweetest, kindest, most professional woman. I mean to have someone down there taking care of your lady parts is a very intimate thing. She made me feel so comfortable & was just incredibly detail oriented! I literally was feelin myself after I got this Brazilian, hahah pun intended! Seriously why have we been shaving?!?! Stop!!! Anyhow I ended up moving further away from the Beverly Hills location and decided to get a Brazilian more local. It was TERRIBLE. It felt like the lady didn't want to be doing it for me, she didn't hold the skin when she ripped off the wax, and I had so many in grown hairs a few weeks later. I had terrible itching, and rash that would not go away. I had no idea that I had hit the jackpot with Elaine when I had first gone to get the waxing. She uses honey which is way more gentle, and better for the skin. Needless to say, I suck it up and just drive the 45 minutes to get to her office! That loyalty made my most recent visit all the more disappointing. I had a 10:50am appointment. The day before, Felicia texted asking if I could push to 11am. I said I'd try to rearrange my plans. She replied: "let's keep the 10:45." I managed to move things around (because if she was asking, I figured she was in need, and I wanted to help) and arrived at 10:57 -- 7 minutes late by the original booking, not 15. When I walked in, Felicia told me I was 15 minutes late. I explained I'd rearranged my schedule to accommodate her request. She shrugged and said "too bad, I already booked someone afterwards.". It wasn't until I was in the room that I checked the reminder email -- original appointment: 10:50. So by her own scheduler, I was 7 minutes late, not 15. Felicia eventually gave me an extra 5 minutes to make up for the mix-up, and I appreciated that. But the cold, dismissive way she started the appointment stayed with me. That's not how you treat someone who's followed you for 15 years. Part of why I see Felicia specifically -- and not one of those high-volume places with curtain walls and hospital beds for tables (you know the ones) -- is the whole experience. A facial should be calming and restorative, and Felicia's warmth has always been as much a part of that as her technique. When that warmth disappeared at the door, it colored everything that followed. The facial itself was top notch. Felicia is genuinely skilled, stays current on products and techniques, and can deliver a top-notch treatment in her sleep. I hope this was an off day, because the person that greeted me at the door was not the warm person that I've been loyal to for a decade and a half.

When you find someone who excels in their work, you want to stay with them be it hairstyling, massage therapy, etc. I was looking forward to returning to Radiance Revealed to see their new home! The space is still extremely clean and welcoming in shades of gray, white and silver. As expected, Jefrey is there to greet you and go over what you want done before proceeding. The table is very comfortable, and his demeanor puts you at ease right away. This was my first Oxygen Facial so I was looking forward to this. I just knew to tell him no glycolic acid, and we were good to go. The formulas felt amazing from the cleanser to the moisturizer, and everything in between. The brush he used to apply the product was even relaxing. He did some manual extractions which didn't hurt as much as I thought they would; I really had some around the nose area which is common, but his technique was extremely gentle. RF (radio frequency) was another highlight; I don't think I ever had this done before but it was a cool feeling. My favorite part was the oxygen blast to the skin which was really refreshing. An hour here really showed a difference; the benefits were immediate, and I couldn't be happier. I'm almost afraid to touch my face (which I need to stop doing anyway) but if I'm in need of a refresh before an event (I'm not holding my breath) or if I simply want to treat myself, I know where to go-Thank you Jefrey at Radiance Revealed!

Akemi was so accommodating, and my skin is so much tighter now. I would recommend going in with Akemi 1-2 times a month with the HiFu treatment! I love it.

Cannot say enough about this awesome gem in the heats of Beverly Hills. Natalie's crew has been waxing and providing skin care to celebrities, visiting dignitaries and "the upper class" of this hood for over 30 years- but I wandered in from a referral and was treated just as top notch as you might imagine Meryl Streep or JLo might be! Parking is plentiful on Beverly or amy of the side streets; there's wifi and cookies and a water cooler to chill while/if you wait, and prices are pre-covid - what a treat! BONUS: it's in a mid century old school marble and chrome mid century, modern masterpiece straight of the 1940's - 1960's... breathtaking. It's like taking Doc's time machine back to 1955! If waxing of skin care is what you seek, and you're anywhere in the hood ... must call! read more

BEST WAXING PLACE EVER. They are fast, not too expensive, lovely russian women (Margarita is the best), clean, easy to park at, PAINLESS. Seriously, I've gone everywhere and this is my favorite.
