The threading place is located inside of another salon, I almost missed it when I first walked by. Inside the salon it was a bit unclear whether the threading booth was fully a part of the salon or a separate entity. The threading was perfect, very exact and beautiful. Fast, good price. I would definitely recommend eyebrow threading here. I knock one star off for the location inside this salon. The other salon people weren't exactly a picture of kindness. I walked in a man looked at me like "uh can I help you" and I indicated that I wanted to get threading done. He said "well you're gonna have to wait, she's already threading someone else", which she was. So I sat and waited. While I was waiting, another lady from the salon came out and asked me if I was waiting for threading, and I said yes. She said "you're gonna have to wait for her then". I started to get the feeling that they were annoyed that I was there for threading instead of their salon services. Throughout the entire waiting period and threading, the salon staff were talking very loudly and somewhat unprofessionally, taking personal calls on the phone and such. I went in and told her not to thin it out and that's exactly what she did!!! She took off way too much and now there's nothing left. UPDATE: It's been about 2 weeks since I was here and my eyebrows are growing in strange. Almost like ingrown hairs. I will likely try somewhere else next time. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Had a great experience here! The wait on weekends can get long, so definitely plan for that or try to come on a weekday. The threading itself was quick and painless. I asked for just a cleanup and that I like to keep my eyebrows thick, and she did a great job. I've been here fairly regularly since moving to Cambridge in August 2018, since it's the threading place closest to me. The quality has always been fine - nothing bad, but nothing exceptional either (though to be fair, I've only ever needed eyebrow cleaning). The problem for me is how long it takes - easily 25-30 mins, just for eyebrow cleaning! There have been a couple of times when I arrived just after someone else, and waiting is fine - but the wait is always around 20-30 mins (plus 25-30 more for my own service), which is too much for me. I've begun going elsewhere and though it's further, it's worth it to avoid losing anywhere from 30-60 mins/threading. read more

A truly magical place! I had my eyebrows threaded here and was very happy with the results! I called the beautician before doing a walk in appointment and was told weekday afternoons are the best time to come if I do not want to wait. I decided to come on a weekday afternoon and was able to have my eyebrows threaded immediately. The beautician is friendly, has a warm smile and is talented in shaping eyebrows. Nitu or whoever was doing eyebrow today 2/9/19 should not be in service. Though I cannot say in 2019 I was never profile bc of the color of my skin, but it's a constant reminder that I need to have tough skin...I was profiled and dismiss for over 1h. I intentionally allowed her to keep servicing everybody (was the only non caucasian & choosing to stay standing bc my butt hurt from sittin bn for 4hrs getting my hair done less than 30mn before) that came, so when I had enough & said I been here way before, she had the nerve to tell me some chick was before (she was sitting & I wasn't). I didn't get my eyebrow done bc this place dont deserve my hard earn $. She better hope that she never needs CPR or last saving measures, as I can choose to be selective too. read more

this place is unassuming and i actually thought i was in the wrong location, because it's in the back of an african salon. but the price is cheaper than what i'm used to paying at boston threading ($14--they're great, but far from where i live and work); it's $10. Nitu (spelling?) does a great job and it was the least painful threading experience i've had in a while. my brows came out great! and i'm EXTREMELY particular about who does my brows, so that is saying a lot. i came in around noon today (monday) and there was no one in there--also a MAJOR plus. highly recommend this joint. read more

This place is a hidden gem for threading fans in the area. I discovered it through yelp and am so happy to have found a solid, cheap ($10 for brows!) place to get my brows done in the area. The actual store is in the corner inside of a of hair salon, making it highly confusing to find. I walked back and forth for a bit until I saw the sign. After entering the hair salon just sit in the front corner with the chairs and the lady just let me know when she was ready for me. The whole process was quick and pain free. She manages to make the experience nearly painless, never takes off too much, and shapes any brows perfectly. For those haven't tried threading - try it! It's a great way to shape eyebrows, and if you're getting it done by a professional, it's almost painless. Nitu does a great job. She's got a steady hand and a good eye for shape. She's also really hygienic - she wears a mask, which isn't common among professional threaders but probably should be. The threading is virtually painless and leaves the skin incredibly smooth (much better than plucking). She rents a single chair in a hair salon and seems to do pretty brisk business, but it'll take her about 10 minutes to do a single person's eyebrows to perfection. I've never made an appointment, I always just walk in. Sometimes I've had to wait 15 minutes, but never more. The upper lip and eyebrows are $16, while eyebrows alone are $10. That's twice what I pay in NY, but still really good. I go once every three weeks or so, and have almost no issues with that timeframe. I highly recommend this place. It's also right next door to the T, so really easy to get to. read more

Conveniently located just a ~minute walk down Prospect Street from the Central stop on the Red Line (right off of Mass Ave), the price is right ($10) and the job is well done! This was my first time getting threading and I was so pleased with the results. The last time I got my eyebrows waxed the place I went to totally butchered them. They were uneven and without an arch and I was mortified. I decided to come here due to other reviews. I'll be honest, anything would be an improvement over what my eyebrows looked like before. However the threading that was done was such a drastic improvement, that I will definitely be a regular. Waxing usually gave me red bumps for days. I've not had that problem with threading. Also it didn't hurt at all. And most of all my eyebrows actually look good. Note: from the outside it may look like you're going into a hair salon. It's a shared space. It's no New York threading shop but it gets the job done. Eyebrow threading is $10 which kills me since I can get them done in NY for $5 but 10 is decent for Boston, especially with a convenient location of Central Square. I'm always scared to try a new eyebrow place but the woman was conservative and cleaned up my eyebrows pretty well. The place is not very busy but there is only was only one worker and I definitely felt her start rushing when another customer walked in so I would try to come in during an off time of day. Found this place thanks to Yelp! $10 for brows is a great deal, it's the least painful place I've been to before. You can tell the girls know what they're doing. Cash only which is fine since the prices are so reasonable. I've never had to wait before but I try to go at offpeak hours. My only worry is sometimes they take off more than I want, I prefer fuller brows and sometimes they end up a little thinner than I'd like. Other than that, quick service, it's not fancy but you get what you pay for and if all you want is a quick and cheap place that does a good job, I'd recommend here! read more

That said, if there's someone in front of you, you might have to wait a while. $15 for upper lip and eyebrows - pretty good for Boston! 5 Stars for Nitu (the owner). She is meticulous, gentle and very very good so that your eyebrows look amazing after she is done. Unfortunately, she only works 2 days now at this location as she has expanded her business. $10 for eyebrows is also a great deal for the area. I would NOT recommend the other threader (Sanjana?). Tried her once and found that she is unable to shape eyebrows and only removes a few extraneous hairs. My eyebrows were choppy and uneven and when I pointed out the issue, she was not able to fix it and only made it worse. She also seemed rushed even though I was her only customer. So, I went to see Nitu and she was able to fix my eyebrows. read more

Consistently good. I've had trouble finding that at other area threading salons, but this one-woman business is the one I have come to trust with my face. The owner is gentle with the thread, so there's hardly any pain. She also takes her time to sculpt my eyebrows exactly how I like them. And the price: very nice.
