    Meh... First time I went they did a great job. My mother in-law didn't care for hers. They didn't get close to the cuticle. This time... Well I had a gift card from my birthday and was in need of girl time. Great staff, but.... My pedi. Meh def didn't clean up the dead skin or even get the yucky ish under my nails. (dirt, dead skin) They were uneven. I came home and had to redo them. I didn't get color because it's winter and I want them to breath... Again...didn't clean up my dead skin on my fingers. My paint job is a bit of a mess. If something cost $40. Then I want and deserve my $40 worth of service. I know they are understaffed and are busy. Then...book your appts out further and don't take walk ins till you hire more people to pick up the slack. Giving 1 person poor service will not get the next person done faster... Honestly not worth the drive for me since I live in west knox. Hope you guys get it together. Mega disappointed, but always thanks for being super nice!

    This makes me really, really sad. I have been a loyal Magic Salon customer since I moved to Knoxville. They were reasonably priced, had a great staff, and did a fantastic job. I have brought in lots of business to them with my rave reviews. They know me by face and by name. Somewhere along the way recently the wheels seem to have fallen off of the bus here. The staff seems to have performed a mass exitus. Not a single one of the nail techs from the good ole days are left. They are all new people that don't seems to really like their jobs. The only face that I do recogonize is the lady that runs the front counter. She's never really been friendly, but it's just something you get over. But these days it's hard to do that. She always seems stressed and annoyed. Now, the services that are provided leave a lot to be desired. I have given them 3 chances and they have failed miserably each time. The first 2 of 3 visits recently, I asked for a gel manicure and pedicure. Sadly the best part of the manicure/pedicure was the massage chair. I'll just got to Brookstone in the mall next time and enjoy the chair for free. The gel polish was pretty badly chipped within the first week. Unacceptable. This crap is expensive and supposed to last. This last visit I decided to save some money and just get a polish change on my toes and fingers with regular polish. $28 later (yes, $28), the polish lasted less than 24 hours. 48 hours later every single one of my nails is chipped and looks terrible. When I mentioned my issues with chipping to the counter lady after my 2 failed attempts at gel, she said, "yeah, sometimes the products get old and they don't last." Wow. So you know you are selling old, crappy polish and don't seem to care. Cool. So in other news: I'm in search of a new nail salon in Knoxville.

    As a walk-in, I was instantly greeted and brought back to a massage chair and foot bath. My nail technician was extremely detail-oriented and precise. Throughout the mani-pedi, he was professionally polite but not overly talkative. He gave a nice massage and allowed me to relax. (He also attacked my thick callouses with a vengeance!) The finished product was exactly as desired -- clean-lined cuticles, softer skin, and smooth, blemish-free polish. Grateful for zero up-selling/pressure to buy additional services, I was also pleased with the price -- the total cost before tip: $40.

    My mom and I did a walk in for a mani pedi. They were quick to accommodate us, even when I was getting acrylics. They had great service and friendly people!

    Terrible. My nails STARTED breaking and chipping the same day I had them done. $50 bucks down the drain. Stay away!

    I went in for a gel manicure because I've been dying to have my nails done. I'd seen some good reviews so thought I'd give it a try. I didn't make an appointment, so I did have a wait (20-25 minutes, not a problem) before one of the nail artists saw me. Despite the fact that it was written on my card, she only did gel polish application rather than a manicure, which wasn't a big deal to me. However, the time it took for the polish was as long as a full manicure should have taken. She kept having to skip back and forth between me and another customer after she had already started my process. After it was said and done, I wasn't 100% pleased. I love the color, but the edges on a few fingers were messy and I had to take small bits of polish off myself after I got home, even after she had checked them a couple of times before I left. It wasn't a bad experience, but I've gotten better service for a cheaper price at other salons.

When I called, I was told she wasn't available Saturday but had an opening Friday at 10:30, which I booked and received a confirmation text for with Christina. When we arrived, no one introduced the stylist or mentioned any change. My daughter was taken back, and we went through the entire appointment under the impression she was with Christina. The haircut itself was not what was requested. My daughter brought reference photos, but the bangs were cut far too short and uneven, and the layering was incorrect. It was only after we left that I realized the stylist was not Christina at all. The business card we were handed when leaving said "Bailey," who isn't even listed on their website. The lack of transparency is unacceptable. If a client books with a specific stylist, they should be clearly informed of any changes beforehand. We would not have booked this appointment otherwise. To make matters worse, I reached out to the salon via email weeks ago to resolve this and never received any response. No acknowledgment, no follow-up, nothing. This appointment was for my daughter's birthday, which makes the experience even more disappointing. Based on both the service and the complete lack of accountability afterward, I would never recommend this salon.

The trouble all started last summer when the previous manager didn't cancel my auto draft. So for three months they kept trying to take money. Thankfully I had the slip showing when I was supposed to be canceled. This season I was told by Dee that a note was on the account saying I could no longer do auto draft for last reason. I asked to speak to the owner since she wasn't going to be able to help me. She said no, I'll have him call you. She either never told him or he didn't call me. I'm going with the last. I finally worked something out with Katlin who called me NOT the owner. A couple weeks ago I went in on a Saturday really looking forward to tan. It's my way of relaxing. The new girl said try this bed( I upgraded $5) to do so for the bronzing bed. I didn't like it~ I laid for 4 minutes it's a 12 minute bed. So I asked for my money back, and asked to lay on my package bed. Dee has refused to talk to me till then. She said I'm not giving you your money back, The owner will call you Monday. Todays his day off. A small business owner is always on call. I was mad and walked into bed 11 instead and slammed the door and she said I feel threatened, I'm not starting the bed get out or I'll call the police. So I called from the parking lot. She said I have you on speaker phone. Not once while in the salon or on the phone did I cuss, or yell. I said I'd just like my money back. She said I just don't feel comfortable giving you a refund! So this was personal for Dee. Its kinda sad cause she wasn't always like this. I found the owner Kris Selvidge and his wife on FB messaged both. Who seen the message and refused to call me. That's all right he had Katlin too. She's the only one who knows how to handle business. They refunded my money for the upgrade and the package. The way this was handled was not okay at all. All this could have been prevented if Dee had only returned my money but out of spite she chose not to.
