I tried the seaweed salad, steamed soup dumplings, and the traditional Lanzhou noodle soup. The seaweed salad was ok. Nothing special was done to it. It was 3 stars. The soup dumplings were a little bland, but still good enough for me to eat all five by myself. I give them a 3.5 stars. The Lanzhou noodle soup was great. I love things like pho and ramen. This tasted like a delicious mix of the two. The noodles are hand pulled on sight and have a little stretchy spongy texture. The pieces of beef were seasoned and delicious. The broth had that consommé feel with a clean beef meets chicken flavor. It definitely cured my pho and ramen cravings. It gets a 4.5 stars The service was nice and prompt. I heard about Magic Noodle because of the Okie Dokie Foodie. I knew it was a place I had to try. We drove from Yukon and it was worth every mile and every penny. I was amazed by the menu. They give you peanuts to start out with. They are so yummy. We ordered the soup dumplings, pork belly burge, pan fried bao, spicy hot pot, and pan fried noodles. Everything was exceptional! The bao was the best I've ever had. Not only was the food amazing, the staff was wonderful. They made great recommendations and they were so attentive and made you feel at home. The kitchen is open and you get to see them hand pulling the noodles. It was by far one of the best, if not, the best, food experiences I've ever had here in Oklahoma. Dumpling and potstickers were delicious also the shaved noodles were great. Homemade handmade noodles were fresh and the perfect bite. Tried to seaweed salad didn't care for it at all but I was expecting a different seaweed salad so it's nobody's fault. The service was excellent and the food came out pretty quickly. We got there and they were busy, we waited about 30 min. Definitely worth it! The poor server was running around and the effort from all staff was noticed. The food was delicious. We have been meaning to try this for awhile and finally made it in! The place was packed and we got the last table available! Despite being full, it was still relatively quiet and the atmosphere was great! It was really neat to be able to watch them make the noodles by hand. They made the noodles using the same process I saw during my time in Guangzhou, China! The steamed and fried dumplings/potstickers (jiaozi) were amazing as appetizers! Additionally, the hybrid bao type Rou Jia Mo (Chinese hamburger) was absolutely fantastic! It was the best I have found in the states after basically surviving on them during my time in Guangzhou! My husband really wanted to try this place and boy were we disappointed; as soon as we walked the place had a distinctive odor, no not the food more like a wet rag. The food even worse. I ordered the hotpot it was not what I expected at all, I was unable to eat it, my pallet just didn't agree with it. I've had many hotspots before this one was something else. I got the TRADITIONAL LANZHOU BEEF NOODLE SOUP. The food was delicious, homemade noodles with a broth that tasted so similar to the Vietnamese dish Pho ! The noodles were really tasty, I had to finish the bowl! The SOUP DUMPLINGS weren't that great, they were dry and almost sticky with no moisture inside. As for CONDIMENTS/ ADD-ONS, they did not have limes, mint, or other add ins. They did have siracha and lemons but the lemons were in thin slices that looked like they should be in water cups. While the soup was enjoyable, the CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OVERALL ENVIRONMENT could be improved. There was no music playing in the restaurant and the lights were fully on. The servers were nice and polite but they could improve on the flow of their service because it was really awkward. Overall the soup saved the meal because of how it tasted; the whole dinner would have been a bust if wasn't good, but luckily the soup was delicious! read more

I hate that I'm giving this place a bad review, because I had such high hopes, and I wanted to give props to a place daring to make their own noodles. However, I was so disappointed in the dish I got that I didn't even finish it. I ordered the hot oil sheared noodles. I'm not sure if it was an off day or not, but the noodles were too thick and too stiff. I know what they should taste like. They didn't have any bounce or elasticity to the noodle, and the sauce was literally flavorless chili oil. I didn't find it spicy or savory or salty. I liked the veggies that it came with, and I liked the marinated egg I ordered. That's about it. I'm not sure where others have eaten, but I was born overseas and I'm well-traveled. First time seeing a hand-pulled noodle place in Oklahoma so decided to give it a try! Place was clean and service was fast. We were directed to a table the moment we walked in. Oh my goodness. Just absolutely delicious. Everything we tried, we love. I got the roasted noodle ramen with veggies and the wide noodles and I am head over heals for these noodles! They have such a delicious texture and the broth was so light and refreshing!! My boyfriend got the spicy beef ramen with the regular noodles and he enjoyed it very much. It wasn't too spicy and the noodles were perfect, though I think I personally preferred the wide ones I got. We also tried the soup dumplings and the scallion pancake; both of which we enjoyed immensely. The soup dumplings have a yummy pork meatball in the middle with a tangy, savory broth. The scallion pancake was light, crispy, and totally scrumptious when dipped in the sauce if comes with. Everything here is made fresh and by hand, you can even watch them make the noodles and it is so cool!! We also ordered the sesame balls for dessert; one of my favorite treats. You can taste the quality here, and the staff is so inviting and kind. They were patient with us as we excitedly navigated the menu for the first time and I felt very welcome here. This is our new favorite go to for our authentic Chinese fix. We have been twice this week. The noodles are handmade by the owner. I ordered the xian spicy noodle dish my husband got the traditional braised Taiwanese beef noodle dish. The cucumber appetizer was delicious as were the egg rolls. The Space is spotless and clean. Wonderful little gem tucked away on the heart of Norman. If you want a flavorful authentic Chinese noodle dish this is your place. It is not whitewashed or Americanized like most strip mall Chinese places. This is the real deal. If you are a foodie, don't skip this place! I will order the xian spicy hot oil sheared noodle and ask for the Taiwan braised beef on top next time! The meat was succulent and flavorful. You will not regret trying this place out! So just finished a meal. Excellent! Our waitress was the kindest most attentive waitress ever. Now it wasn't packed but at plenty of places a slow night means waitstaff is also slow--not here. She was super friendly, helping us differentiate what each dish was all about. So apps were fried dumplings and soup dumplings. They were both awesome. Now I've had the famous soup dumplings at Joes Shanghai in NYC, and these are pretty darn good! Not Joes good, but definitely worth the two extra orders we got. They are smaller and aren't filled with as much soup, but the flavor is great. The fried dumplings were excellent as well. I had braised beef soup, delicious, perfect noodles and tender beef. My son had the Langzhou soup, and of course I sampled, very Pho-like flavor and wonderful. Wife had the vegetable soup (name I forget) which she enjoyed and I thought was good but not as good as the Braised Beef or the Langzhou. We will be back, need to try the other dishes. Definitely worth a stop--a delicious new addition to Norman. It's also very good price. Downside, yeah it was a bit balmy in there. They're making soup so I get it but whoo I was sweating a bit and not bc of the spice-but the waitress must have noticed because it started to cool off at the end read more
