first, let's start with the food since most people that look at this review are going to be more concerned about the food. The quality of the food was very poor to start with. Once they got a hold of it and cooked it the food was still very bland and overcooked. I'm not looking for heat the fact of it I hate heat. I'm say it was very bland as in hardly any flavor. Now let's discuss the price for half the price that I paid here for the same items. I have gotten better quality food at other local Chinese food restaurants. Now the ambience. The restaurant can't decide what kind of restaurant it wants to look like it has everything from generic Asian style, pizzeria style, French style, and Italian style all together in one. The chairs were torn up, so where's the booth. If that was not bad enough, it was also very dirty inside. I just gotta be bluntly honest here, but this was some of the most poorly done and bland fast food Chinese in the metro. And on top of that, the service was inconsistent and rude (I will describe more below). Fried rice was laughable, not even close to fresh, it was hard like day-old and with little flavor. Honey walnut shrimp was awful, shrimp tiny, some just small pieces of shrimp, cheap crumb breaded like from the frozen foods section. It had no proper sauce on it, and too much broccoli. We had to dump watered down sweet & sour sauce on it, sauce the reluctant owner scowled about even get us. Even our go-to fried sugar bread lacked flavor somehow. Dining room is small, rough around the edges, ugly. Owner woman was very short and rude with us over the phone and while we dined in. Frowning during each interaction with us. She chooses who to be friendly with, and it's only the local regulars, laughing with and thanking regulars picking up takeout or over the phone. It was bizarre. Oh my good gravy! It took 10 months, but I think we found our go to Chinese place. An added bonus for being so close to the house, and there is a delivery option through apps. I love that the combination platters come with so much more than just the platter and rice. You can chose between two options. (See the menu I posted) the employees/owners were so nice and polite. I went in and ordered and it was ready in 15-20 min. I ordered sesame chicken. It was perfect, it had a nice crisp to it and the flavor was great and not to saucy. The shrimp and snow peas had a delicious sauce. It had snow peas, shrimp and other vegetables. The egg roll was what I remember an egg roll to be, delicious, crispy, thick and stuffed. The egg drop soup had great flavor. It was not too greasy tasting and it had the right amount of salt. We will be ordering from Tangs again soon! Side note: all packaged sauces should have the panda bears on it with some Hahaha! Oh the lifestyle of moving around .... restarting in a new location and finding a great Chinese restaurant. Quick authentic fast Chinese food. Lil on the greasy side, but all the flavors are there and so good. Definitely get your moneys worth. I can tell their pos & phone system is a little older so if you're making calls in be patient, It looked like their phone was being slow. But they are super kind and have amazing in person customer service. They have a cute lil side booth area if you dont feel like rushing home and want to sit and eat. I flipped a coin on what to pick up for dinner this evening and I'm so glad we tried Tangs. I walked in, ordered and was out the door in less than 15 minutes. I love their dinner combinations and they had a wide selection of pretty standard Chinese take out options. Every dish is represented and cooked fresh to order. The pepper steak and broccoli beef were both hot and delicious. Full of flavor! I love that they give the crispy strips with egg drop soup. There is a small dining room and they also deliver. Surprisingly wonderful. Tiny little family owned place with enough area to seat about 15 people, this little Mom pop shop gives out wonderful tasty portions at a very fair price! The food was flavorful and packed, portions were really good, they were super friendly but English was pretty broken so be prepared, such awesome Chinese food though, definitely a hole in the wall type of place. This place is our newest obsession! Love Tangs! The food is always super hot when it is delivered!! You just cant beat hot food being delivered, call me a sucker. It is also very affordable but the best part is the quality! The first time (of many) that we ordered from here I got the honey chicken and it was amazing. The honey was nice and thick and everywhere. The dish tasted very fresh. My SO, so far, has only ordered the beef and broccoli because he really enjoys it. I have also order the jalapeno chicken which had nice big chunks of obviously fresh jalapenos that were mixed up in the chicken. It was pretty spicey, but i took out most of the jalapenos to ease the fire and it was perfect. Next- they make HOMEMADE wantons. Its crazy and amazing while also tasting like no wanton I have tasted before. The garlic chicken was good also. So if you order a combo you get your meat, rice (Ive substituted rice for noodles once), a few pieces of sweet N sour pork/or chicken, AND the wantons. All for a very affordable price! Food is pretty good. The thing is, it is different than other joints around town. Sure the dishes have the same names, but they have different ingredient in them. The hot and sour soup has peas and carrots. The Moo Goo Gai Pan looks more like the traditional American/Cantonese dish you can Google. They do not automatically give white rice with your order it is fried so ask if you don't prefer. They have seating, lunch specials and a kids menu. Best crab RangoonI have ever had! Made from scratch, with actual crab, not a blob of sour cream. Not greasy. Mrs Tang makes her own sweet and sour sauce with fresh ginger! So delicious! The General Tso's is hand-breaded, nice little kick of spicy. Not the corn syrupy, store-bought Tso's sauce. Being part Chinese, I have been to hundreds of Chinese restaurants. Tang's stands apart. A meager 'mom and pop' setting that has 'lost in translation' overtones. I told the lady that I had a tax exempt card for our order at which time she turned around and pulled out a Pepsi from the cooler and placed it in front of me. I ordered the Jalapeno Chicken that came with fried rice. The almost too sweet Hunan style brown sauce was gloopy and triple the amount that it should have been. So much so that it bled into the rice. Sorry, but I want rice on my rice. The meat and vegetables were so drenched in sauce that it was difficult to consume very much of the dish. My grand daughter had the chicken lo mein. The noodles were'nt even lo mein noodles, but rather thin spaghetti tossed in the same sauce that was in mine. Not the best 'takee outee'. After moving to Moore 6 years ago we still hadn't found a great Chinese food restaurant. When I read the reviews on yelp I was so excited to try this place. Unfortunately once we got home and tried the food, we were all disappointed. Disgusting! The low mein noodles are no more than spaghetti noodles. There was no filling inside the crab rangoons. The cabbage in the egg rolls tasted rotten. The dumpling soup tasted like it was made a month ago. The pork inside the sweet and sour pork was grey. The fried rice was nothing other than steam rice with soy sauce on it, nothing else added. The only thing that was even really edible was the sesame chicken, and that wasn't even great. After spending $40 ordering this food, we passed and got pizza. read more

Very fast and friendly service. It was clean. I was craving chinese in a new city and decided to give this place a try. I had chicken fried rice spicy and general tsos chicken. My husband and I both enjoyed our food. We also ordered the walnut shrimp. We didn't care much for that dish. The shrimp seemed like it was popcorn shrimp with a very sweet sauce. The sauce was too thin in my opinion. But everything else was good! Will be back since it's very close to where I live. read more

I must say that this is the best Chinese restaurant I've had in the Moore area. The portions and prices are excellent and the flavors and ingredients show signs of care and effort. We were very pleased and this will be our go to from now on. It may be a bit different to some American tastes accustomed to a certain flavor, as their food is slightly more herbal, but that is why it is unique and delicious. The reason why I went here was to get fried rice because I had really been wanting some for days So I went in today since I'd heard good things and I got sesame seed chicken which by the way was pretty good on it's own. But the rice was really bad. Had no flavor! We had several people try the rice and everyone said it was disgusting we tried adding soy sauce and still was so bad. They seem to put ginger in everything and I don't know if it was star anise I was also tasting but was not used in manner that tasted good to me. Very friendly owners. Husband and wife are from Beijing. Food is very good and authentic. For take out Chinese, this is our go to spot.

I am thinking about upgrading this to five stars, except it just doesn't totally blow me away (it's good, though). I'll eat there a couple more times just to make sure, but this is definitely better than your average neighborhood Chinese place. Check out the combination specials. In addition to your entree, you get soup or an egg roll, wonton or crab rangoon and sweet and sour chicken plus fried rice, $6.50-$7 at lunch, $7.25-$8 at dinner. Best Chinese restaurant in Moore.. Discovered this little gem a few months ago & we love it. They deliver also, they do usually add $3.00 for a tip on delivery but it is written on your ticket. I'm more than happy to tip them $3.00 I mean they are delivering greatness to my door. Mandarin in Del City is by far the best ever but when you don't want to drive that far Tangs it is. Their garlic chicken is very different than any we've had before it has a garlic sauce on it. I think it's super yummy & something different for a change. We've been in Moore for six months and had yet to find our 'go-to' Chinese. Decided tonight to order delivery from Tangs...and we were very pleased! The food arrived hot and fast, within 20 mintues of ordering. I always order steamed rice with my chinese food, and it was perfect, just like the sticky kind of rice that some of my Asian friends cook at home. My husband ordered the pineapple chicken...and wow, the flavor was excellent. Finally, most importantly, I ordered beef and broccoli for the kids. The beef was so tender we didn't need a knife to cut it. We're beyond excited we've found our 'go-to' chinese food for years to come! read more
