We orders huevos rancheros with black beans and cheese enchiladas topped with green chili stew. The Cheese Enchiladas topped with green chili stew was delicious. The cheese in the enchiladas was melty while the stew provided a rich and flavorful touch. The huevos rancheros was forgettable. The rancheros sauce lacked smokiness and depth of flavor and the amount of black beans overshadowed the dish.

Even though our server said the dishes were meant for sharing. One of the big drawbacks was the lack of clarity around spice levels. The menu didn't indicate if the dishes would be spicy, so I was in a bit of a surprise when I ate my steak tacos. For the elotes, they were very tangy and were very overpriced for what it is. We were ordering that to go with the tacos since they don't come with a side. And the elotes came out before for our tacos which we waited for because we didn't want to eat it on its own. So it was frustrating. We did enjoy the karaage-crispy and flavorful. The aioli was on the tangy side though. Cocktails were probably the highlight of the meal. Reasonably priced, generous portion compared to the food. Overall, while I appreciate the effort to bring some bold flavors to the table, I don't think we will be returning. It's definitely not worth the price.

What a wonderful addition to OKC's already impressive lineup of great restaurants. The place is…read morelively but conversation at our table was just fine, even though we were seated near the door. We had a great group of servers taking care of us led by Lexi. Sometimes the service at new restaurants is challenging but not here. We received fantastic service from the moment we were greeted at the door. The menu is littered with unfamiliar terms and ingredients that you may want to Google beforehand. My husband and I did this before our visit and really had fun learning new names and techniques. It made our visit even better and we were very excited to try new dishes. We were a foursome and treated the menu more like a tapas, sharing bites among friends. This allowed us the opportunity to sample many more dishes than usual. We started with a simple chips and guacamole, which was clearly fresh and made in-house. Next time we'll definitely start with the salsa trio as it sounds equally delicious. Next we ordered the White Bean Purée. The addition of the short ribs makes this a dish not to overlook. We also had the Karaage which is a Japanese style fried chicken. It's not something I'd imagine seeing on a Latin restaurant menu but boy am I glad it is. You can't go wrong with it. You order sides for the table so we chose Elote (Mexican style corn) and Papas Verde (potatoes with verde sauce), as well as a Romaine salad. I didn't get a picture of the salad until it had been dished out so my apologies for the incomplete photo. My husband and I ordered tacos, the Suadero (brisket) for me and the Skirt Steak for him. Both were loaded with flavor but not spicy hot if that's your concern. Our friends ordered the Smoked Half Chicken to share between them. I had a taste and it was terrific, juicy and flavorful. In spite of the mountain of food we'd enjoyed, we couldn't resist dessert, two of them actually. The Banana Bread came with a peanut butter mousse and these delicious cookie and coconut crumbles. The bread was moist and delicious but that mousse was simply fantastic. I've never had anything like it and would buy it by the jar if I could. The Concha is another delightfully unique dish. They take strawberry ice cream, coat it with cornflakes and deep fry it. It turns out looking like a fried chicken breast. They use a Mexican style sweet bread for the buns and deliver it with a knife stuck into the "sandwich" as you'd expect with the real thing. I couldn't try it due to a food allergy but my three tablemates devoured it in short order. If you have a sweet tooth Vecina has the answer for that. I'm very impressed with the food and the wonderful service. It's a fun place and we can't wait to go back soon.

It was serve was a deliciously flavorful green sauce that we all agreed we could drink it was so tasty! We ordered the maduros, nicely cooked, not overly sweet and the patacones con ogao which were nicely crispy served with a delicious warm chopped tomato sauce that was incredible. My only gripe is I wish we had more than 5 patacones! My partner and I both ordered the bandeja paisa and it was so good. I love to be able to get a variety of food so we could try and little bit of everything, even the rice had nice flavor. My friend ordered the mondongo and it has so much flavor in the broth. You get a good amount of good for the price as well. The service was good too.

There was a gaggle of teenage boys in the business uniform horsing around, throwing fries at each other, choke holding each other and just acting a mess. We are larger people and we had a party of four. They tried to sit us at this half moon booth with a rectangle table. No one could comfortably sit there with more than two people. Once I got them to let us move to a table, we were told the QR code was the menu. This link takes you to a menu with pop up adds all over it and it's horribly hard to read. We were not even allowed to read past the first page before the server asked "what food you want". Still hasn't taken our drink order. Asked for ice water and was told they have bottled water. Later to find out from seeing another table ask for ice water and was given it without question. Teenage boy brought our water bottle and asked 2 more times if we were ready to eat and order. Once we did order we wanted some beef empanadas. What we got was mashed potatoes with cornmeal around them fried with no beef in any of it. Was hungry so we ate them. The green salsa that came with it was the best part of the meal. 3 of the 4 of us ordered cane asada and was labeled as skirt steak but what was brought out was flattened flat iron steak. Maybe 4 ounces of meat pounded over a 10x6 inch plate. Should have been a $12 meal each not $20. My food was flank steak which was suppose to salsa on top and just had tomato and onions. Green salsa was 8 of 10 all the food was 2 of 10. Not to mention of of the boys that brought our food ripped a very large fart and did not apologize for it just pointed and laughed and ran off. Save the money and go to Taco Bell at least you know what you are going to get.

And then we had to wait for our server to finally greet us. He was friendly enough but whispered the entire time, so we couldn't quite hear him over the music and had to keep asking him to repeat things. Not sure if he lost his voice or something. The mocktail drinks were decent so we had high expectations. But the appetizer Tiradito de Tuna was so disappointing with the quality of tuna. The sauce was citrusy and okay and they added bits of carrots and flower pedals like that would make up for the quality. The Lomo Saltado and the Churrasco were just okay too. I feel like other hispanic/latin places have the same dishes that are way better. It's like you're paying for the downtown nice location more than for the food. The Churros were good, but not any more special than any other Churros elsewhere. Not sure I would go back, just based on price for the food.

After hearing about the family ties to Cafe Kacao, we finally made it to Cafe Antigua--and it did not disappoint. We often crave Guatemalan breakfast as a vibrant alternative to standard American fare, and this spot delivered on every front. I'd read a few concerns regarding portion sizes versus cost, but I'm happy to dispel those narratives. The portions were perfect. While we might be accustomed to over-the-top serving sizes in America, the quality and quantity here were spot on for the price. We enjoyed the Machaca omelet and the Machaca scrambled eggs; both were packed with flavor. We also shared an order of churros that were exactly as they should be: crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and incredibly fresh. Great service, fair prices, and a much less busy dining room. But then again we went on a Wednesday morning. The weekends may get as busy as their family friendly rival down the street.
