I made an appointment for a fill and pedicure( keep this in your mind as I go on). I was taken to the pedicure chair and when I was going to go to nail chair 4 people came in. They asked me to wait so they could help customers who were walk-ins. The pedicurist started actually asked if I wanted to pay then. I was asked to go to a chair. Hopeful this would be the manicure chair. No, it was just a holding area. Off to the third chair. While getting my nails done, the person kept getting up to check on other clients. Then she took a personal call. Not just any call a video call while doing my nails. That's right a personal video chat. She then tried to tell me she was quick. This is after 2 hours of being in the salon. I mean what do customers who work do? Not everyone is retired and I'm not. She filed the top top down since far that when she put a chemical on top of it i was in pain it turned purple and it was burning. I have been getting fills for 25 years and this has never happened. She told me I must be sensitive. ( of course it must be my fault) Okay so we are ending this appointment and oil is being slathered on my arms and drops are hitting my purse. I can hope it's over but oh no. Drenched in oil arms out stretched, my manicurist walks way again to do something else. I know friendliness goes a long way and the manicurist was nicer than the pedicurist but I was such an after thought. If they would just focus on the customer in front of them they wouldn't get backed up trying to help everyone at once. It wasn't a relaxing experience at all. I feel with places opening after being shut down there is a real struggle to handle busy times. read more

Do not go there for waxing. Not sure what has happened with their customer service. It went down hill. I recommended this place for waxing to my sister so she asked me to take her. On top of their prices going up, Tracy left wax in her hair and a strip of wax too. I called and spoke to Tracy asked her for a refund on the eyebrows. She said okay, but when we arrived she changed her mind and declined. We don't mind paying the price for good customer service, but she didn't even care. Worst place for waxing. read more

Do not go here! It's very dirty! Need to call the health dept. and file a report- they could definitely use a health inspection. needed my brows waxed- there was a dirty towel and a long black hair on the bed. She ripped off a piece of paper and haphazardly threw it down. Very aggressive (and prices are always different). Then got a pedi- nothing is sterilized. The cheese grater for the bottom of the foot she pulled out, used on me. Rinsed in my foot water and put it back in the container! I was dying inside of disgust. A lady sat next to us and had to ask for a clean towel. These ladies tried to argue and say it was clean... clearly wasn't. To make it worse- I got no massage with oil on my legs (she argued with me at check out that she did massage me). And she only did one coat of polish- so 2 days later it's chipping. Last but not least all 3 of us were charged different prices. Just steer clear. read more

Love this place, if you call ahead and go in when they're not busy then you get the best service, they are so kind and take their time. I have been doing the dip nails and I love it! My nails are strong and they last 3-4 weeks before having to be filled again. read more

Went for a quick gel manicure, and it was ok but not great. They did not remove all of the previous color from a previous gel manicure, so some of it still showed through when I got the new color. Some of the edges of my nails are still rough and will probably snag on clothing. They seemed disorganized and I was switched from one nail specialist to another halfway through because of a previous scheduled appointment. read more

This place is awful! I ended up with multiple cuts and the gel was sticky. When I politely complained the lady named "may" offered to fix it and made it worse. I told her that I was unhappy. Her response was "You pay me now. " I paid and left. I am in pain and had to spend money elsewhere to get my nails done again. Beware of this place. You'll need antibiotics. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL! Well I have to say I had a good experience there. Went in for a pedicure. Paula took care of me. She did a awesome job. Took her time. Oh, almost forgot, they have free WiFi there, very big plus. The only problem I had is that it was warm in there. The doors were open but I don't think the a/c was on. I hope they turn if on next time I go. read more

My daughter, my mom and I went in for basic mani/pedis. No one in our party said "acrylic" or "full set". Yet, they hustled my 83-year old mom who has dementia off to a corner away from me and my daughter. My daughter noticed that the operator was getting ready to do acrylics on her and on me. My mother and I have NEVER gotten acrylics. They managed to get acrylics on my mom, but we thwarted my operator before she could proceed. Next, they gave my mom a "deluxe pedi" that upped my total by an unexpected $60. I've never had such a lifeless massage in my life. She didn't use my requested color on my fingernails and I had to get a little pushy when it came to my toenail color. Clearly, I had the bottles that I wanted for my colors. My daughter did not request acrylics either, but went along since the operator got started. She wanted "almond shaped" but wound up with "stiletto". Maybe there was a language barrier, but we think that business is slow and we looked like sitting ducks. We will take mom to another salon today to remove the acrylics. They are causing her a lot of discomfort. We will never, never go back. read more

Unbelievably HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! Worst nail experience I've EVER had!!!!!! For starters...the lady at the front desk (tall fake blonde with dark low lights, Caucasian), was extremely rude when I walked in! She looked at me and said "what do you need?" I said "a fill." Her response..." You NEED a fill???!!!" I said yes. She said " then pick out a color!" I wanted to smack her she was so rude!!!!With so much attitude right off the bat, I almost left, but she told me to sit and it would be a couple minutes. So I went against my better judgement and stayed. My fill began with a Chinese woman who didn't give a hoot that I was there. About 5 minutes into my first hand, she up and left for a while. I had no clue what happened. She came out about 7 minutes later chewing on food. I was totally disgusted and annoyed about everything. Make a horrible experience short, she didn't even fill in the white on my nails. She constantly burned my skin on every single finger. I think she did more work on my skin, than on my nails!!!! It hurt so bad!!! She even lost control of the drill at one point and drilled down my entire finger!!!!! I kind of screamed and she didn't seem to care at all that she hurt me!!!!! The corners of my nails are so sharp that I could cut glass with them! The finished product is very rough, not smooth at all. My entire fill for pink and white powder took 24 minutes! Not that she bothered to do the white part. That's unheard of!!! I didn't even bother saying anything because I had to get to work and I just wanted to get the heck OUT OF THERE!!!! There was absolutely no attention to detail, and they don't care about the product they produce! Plus, this place is old, dingy, DIRTY and stinks. You couldn't pay me to go back there!!! Do yourself a favor and go to Palm Nails on the corner of Jefferson and Fred Waring! The owners are amazing, totally care about the job they do, and do quality work!!! Being a local, I've been to many nail salons out here, and Palm nails is the best I've been to! I only came to this place because I was desperate for a fill and Palm nails was packed! I came in as a walk in over the weekend for a fill, I have been here before for pedicures and never had a problem. The gentleman who did my nails was anything but that. He was very rough would push my hand away when he was done, burned me multiple times with the dremel, so much so that i have open wounds on around my nails. I also have trouble hearing and he would laugh at me like I was stupid because I couldn't understand what he was saying. Generally had the feeling that I was a burden to his day not a paying customer. Needless to say he missed out on what would have been a nice tip also lost the business a customer. read more

This place is horrible. Came in for a pedicure the elder lady in the front was super rude since I walked in. I picked a color and sat down, minutes later the same elder lady in the front did my pedicure unfortunately! She turned on the water and was boiling hot I told her it was hot and she said "oh no honey you okay," I couldn't even deal with the water so I took my feet out. She then started cutting my nails on my right toes, filed them and that's it, she then gave me a "massage" on my right leg next thing you know she pulls out the polish, I asked if she was going to cut my toe nails on my left toes and she said oh sorry honey I forgot, maybe she if she wouldn't of been busy talking to her damn co worker and running after a kid I would've gotten better service! WORST nail salon experience I've ever had. Like if I could chose negative stars, I would. We made appointments two hours before we came in. Then this lady who must be the new owner, SO RUDE, told us other people walked in right before us so we had to wait for a while. Then told us the person my grandma made an appointment with was unavailable. Even though she said it was fine on the phone. Interrupted us while one of the workers asked us who our appointment was with. Right off the bat she was so rude. My grandma has been coming here for years, and this chick comes out of nowhere and has no clue what she's doing. You can tell its tense in there- all the workers just starred at each other. I watched her and she was rude to EVERYONE she came into contact with. Then, at 11 on the dot, four women came in and said they had an appointment at 11. They have no idea what they're doing, we had to walk out. We're getting our nails done across the street- Ava Nails or something? No wait and nice. read more
