I finally visited Magic Mini Golf... on its last night of operation! I read about the closure in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and stopped by after a meal at another establishment in the Loop. (I suspected MMG's food offerings would be limited on the last day, and I was correct.) I was surprised MMG operated for only 3 years. I thought it was at least 8-10. The decor was old-timey magic show-inspired. The mini-golf was I believe 18 holes and STL-themed. One of the holes as a STL (Delmar Blvd., right outside) walk of fame w/ a tv screen slideshow of the honorees. Most (all?) of the other holes had a STL or a magic theme. What else was there? Tables for eating. A few arcade games. A mini Ferris wheel. No one rode it; this was a slow night. The bartender made it sound like this was because Mother's Day weekend is typically not a busy time for establishments such as Magic Mini Golf. The bartender was so nice. His family/friends were hanging out at the bar. The specialty cocktail menu was so to my liking that I had difficulty choosing, so I let the bartender choose for me. This was a cocktail of a good size. It was sweet and tart enough. I think it was the blackberry... margarita, was it? Yum! Would drink it again. Owner and local legend Joe Edwards was sitting at the bar and left a few minutes after I arrived! The bartender and the other staff member said he's a very nice boss. I was glad to hear that and that both employees have new jobs lined up. I exited into a downpour with a souvenir deck of Magic Mini Golf STL cards and a big smile. I visited Magic Mini Golf on the Delmar Loop this past Saturday around 2 PM, and overall, it was a fun and unique experience. The main attraction is the 18-hole mini golf course. Each green is elevated above the concrete floor, with custom build-outs that include nods to St. Louis history and culture, which was a nice touch. Each hole is around 12-15 feet in length, and while they're fun to look at, I will say the gameplay is a bit lacking. The greens are not particularly challenging, and because you can't actually stand on them, some of the putts were a bit awkward. Not the most practical setup, but still enjoyable. In addition to mini golf, the space includes giant shuffleboard, a few arcade games, and even a miniature 5-person Ferris wheel. There's also a full bar, which definitely adds to the atmosphere and makes it a great spot for a casual hangout with friends. When I went, there were about 2-3 other parties playing, but the flow was smooth and we never had to wait for a hole. At $12 per person for all 18 holes, it's reasonably priced for the novelty and the environment. All in all, I would recommend checking it out! read more

I walked in to grab a drink or two and was asked may I help you sir as soon as I walked in. Good right? I responded with "bathroom first?" As I did not know where it was. The bartender replied, and this was the only staff member I saw, uh sir we don't have public bathrooms to which I said I was gonna order a drink. And then he proceeded in telling me not to destroy his bathroom. Now as a 50 yo man I have never destroyed a bathroom. I feel he was trying to "impress" the two ladies at my expense. We came to Magic Mini Golf on one of our last days of summer break. I was thankful they were open in early afternoon during the week. We bought a round of mini golf for two adults and two kids which was a little steep at $40. The space is really great though and the holes are unique raised boxes that were truly works of art. You get 18 holes which is nice but they are short so just a couple of strokes for each one. But I love supporting a local business that truly puts St. Louis flare into the experience especially on the Delmar Loop! It looks like they also have a full bar, small food menu, and shuffleboard available. I would definitely come back again! read more

This was a fun place for a group party. Shuffleboard and mini golf was fun but the Ferris wheel wasn't operating which would have been fun. But it's a cool space, wasn't rushed by other people on the mini golf course, and they had a lot of options for food and drink read more

Fabulous addition to The Loop! We came here before a concert at The Pageant for a quick appetizer and drink at the bar. The place is very inviting with floor to ceiling windows that take up the entire front. Great spot to watch others play mini golf or people watch the sidewalk. My partner and I had the BEST time here! We had some time to pass in between concerts & stopped in on a whim. We were treated so kindly, given thorough directions & were pointed to all the different areas. One area is the mini golf which includes super cool & unique courses, another is shuffleboard (whaaat? Fun!!!) and then there's tons of tables and board games just for hanging out. Pretty solid selection at the bar. Can't wait to come back and bring friends. read more

Okay. This place is pretty cool. We double dated and decided to give this spot a try. I was actually impressed that it wasn't super busy for a Saturday evening, but we didn't complain. The bar was interesting. The drinks were fantastic but the service was slowwww. And not like, we had to wait in line for drinks, but each drink took 5+ minutes to make. We were literally ordering, playing a hole, then going back to get our drink. I'm not sure why they were taking forever. Service was fine at the bar, not super friendly but not rude either. The people at the putt putt counter though were super friendly! This is not traditional putt putt, I had never played anything like this! They're basically little platforms and you can't stand on them. You'll find yourself on the first hole or two wanting to stand on them just out of muscle memory, but you'll get over that. It was actually super fun and a unique way to play. We had fun competition going and they had some really cool and unique holes. We had a great time, lots of laughing. It was an enjoyable spot. I don't know if I would want to come back again and again but definitely great for a date night with some friends. read more

Visited with a few friends and we had a great time. It was not busy on a Saturday evening which was nice, lots of room and we didn't conflict on the course with many people. The place is really cute and spacious, I love the giant arch visual on the ceiling and the lighting was nice. There is a stage in the back - I think it could be cool with the lights lower and maybe a DJ playing on the stage sometime. It was nice as a casual outing, too. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. I thought $12 was a little much for the length of the course but it was worth the fun time with friends. The little Farris wheel inside is cute but I don't think I'd pay $10 for it, maybe $5. Same with the shuffleboard - it is $40 (per hour or 2 hours? can't recall exactly) which seemed a little pricey. That said, it's nice to support a locally owned business even if it costs a little extra. read more

Great Afternoon fun! Came for a kids Birthday Party. Course is small but perfect for a party or for just hanging out for a bit without tying up your entire day with a huge outdoor course. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, there was plenty people on hand to accommodate customers. Kids liked the Pizza, STL style 14" pizza. This definitely feels like a place more suited for kids. The level of difficulty here is far too easy, and the holes extremely short. We still had fun, but a bit of a let down. I went here a few weeks ago with family and we enjoyed it so much! They had mini golf, a mini arcade, shuffle boarding, and a bar right next to the course. It was a lot of fun and a great experience overall! Another amazing part about this place was the workers. One of my family members had misplaced their keys and we weren't sure where they were. We looked around the different places we went to during the day and Magic Mini Golf was one of them. When asking the staff if they saw the keys, we expected them to check their lost and found and say that they hadn't seen them. This however was not the case. Not only did they check their lost and found, they also checked their security systems to see if they saw our keys. While looking through the security system, they had saw the keys be put into the trashcan and dug through it to retrieve the keys! Talk about great service! They went above and beyond to help us, and we are very grateful for these sweet people! 10/10, would recommend! read more

Fantastic service, drinks, and activities. The venue becomes adults-only after 9pm, the music turns up, and it's a great time!

The staff was super kind and the place was clean w/ excellent A/C. The mini golf felt like a student project though. They're all up on two by fours and you can't stand on the greens.
