Terry is awesome and extremely professional. He knows how to run the show, from music to taking charge of an auction. He prepares before hand to ensure the event runs smoothly. He is completely involved from beginning to end, and keeps everyone and everything on track. Highly recomend. read more

Terry Newberry is a great DJ. He made our 30 year reunion even better. He really knows what he's doing. We proved him with a list of music to play and he made it happen. He even got some of us to stop talking and start dancing. Once we started dancing we didn't want to leave. I would use him again. read more

Words cannot really express what a magnificent performance we experienced by Terry at our daughter's recent wedding reception. He went above and beyond our very high expectations. Our guests truly enjoyed his talent and music. We can truly say " we all danced the night away" . We give Terry the highest recommendation possible!!! read more

When we started planning our wedding, we knew it was important to us to find a DJ who was lively and would keep the night moving, especially for our range of ages at our wedding. We were recommended to Terry, and after meeting with him we quickly felt we could trust him to be our wedding DJ. We received comments all night about how much people enjoyed Terry's announcing of events, the quick connections he made between events so everything flowed smoothly, his professionalism, and how they could tell he was experienced at what he does. He wasn't afraid to get up in front and get the crowd excited. Even with a couple quick changes (speech order and such), he was on top of everything. As a bride, it was a huge relief to have him there to help us through our reception, even when timing got a little off. Additionally, he was sure to keep the dance floor moving and was very receptive to the music we wanted to be played. He has a great playlist builder on his website that makes it easy to tell him what songs you like. We are so happy he was our DJ, and recommend him to all our friends! read more

He helped keep us on schedule and was such a great asset. Thanks Terry & Brandon!! read more

Terry was an amazing DJ! He wasn't over the top like every DJ I've seen. He knew how to get our wedding crowd out to the dance floor and read them well to keep them dancing. He met with us prior to our wedding a couple of times and he made us feel comfortable and confident that he would do a great job. Many people at our wedding commented on how great our wedding DJ was! read more

Terry - You were awesome. We had a small venue and you really made the event come alive. Thanks for making us laugh, helping us clap along and for getting us on the dance floor. We all had a great time at the school event. read more

If this were just a review for Brandon as my DJ I would give him a full five stars. He did a great job of keeping the flow and energy of the night going for my wedding. The not full stars is due to my experience with the photo booth coordination. The week of the wedding I was cancelled due to double booking. Not really sure how this happens when you book a wedding I would assume you write these things down. When they cancelled me they gave me a contact for someone who ended up being great but more expensive. When I asked to cover the extra cost since they were the week of I was told that it wasn't that much more expensive than the price I got. Well if it wasn't that much more expensive then you should have no problem covering it??... I'm just disappointed with the lack of empathy. Planning a wedding is stressful enough and you would think that someone would be more apologetic cancelling the week of. read more

Terry Newberry was the best Vendor we got to work with for our wedding. He was so amazing from the minute we began working with him. He went out of his way to make certain songs work with our ceremony that I wanted and made everything come out the way we wanted it to. The night of the wedding he was on point with pretty much everything, and his personality made the party that much more fun!!! I still hear some of our guests raving about him! A few months before our wedding we were in a horrific car accident in which I suffered a minor brain bleed. Terry went even more out of his way at that point to make me feel comfortable, and assured me that no matter what, everything will be the way I wanted it to be. He went over everything with us for a second time since I was having a lot of memory issues and just was extremely patient and helpful every step of the way. He always made me feel that our wants and vision was his number one priority which made me feel so comfortable with him. Terry will be the DJ at my sisters wedding next year, and I cannot wait! I will and have already been recommending him to anyone in need of a FANTASTIC DJ! You will get Customer service and excellence at its best with Terry! Terry truly made our wedding day that much more perfect! read more

For our October wedding, we chose to use Magic Entertainment for our DJ/emcee services and also used their lighting and photobooth. Terry's DJ skills and emcee skills are amazing. He knows the right things to say to get the guests laughing and plays all the right songs at the right time! We are still hearing from our guests how great our DJ was! During our pre wedding meeting, Terry had great suggestions to keep the dance floor full all night. He had us use the playlist builder to select our favorite songs and played all the songs we wanted. Terry paid attention to our guests and what genres of music kept the dance floor full. He even threw in a couple of his selections, which were a hit!! Our dance floor was full all night! We also selected a lighting package and so glad we did. Terry was familiar with our venue and suggested lighting would compliment the venue. During our meeting, we agreed on light colors to correspond with our colors. Terry said he could keep the lights set or change them with the songs, but we thought the set would be best for us. During the dancing, we decided it would be fun to change up the lighting and asked Terry if we could do this. He said absolutely, and within seconds the lights changed. Another great option Magic Entertainment offers is a photobooth! We worked with Tana in choosing our photo layout and package options. She was great to work with and gave us exactly what we were promised. Our guests loved the photobooth, and there was a great selection of props for them to choose! We chose to get the package to get the photo album and so glad we did! At the end of the evening, Tana gave us a great quality album of all our guests' pictures. It is so fun to look back through the pictures! We can't say enough about Magic Entertainment and recommend them for all of our friend's events! read more

Sept. 20, 2013 was one of the greatest night of my life, and Terry Newberry was a huge part of helping make that night unforgettable. He was Fantastic !!!! I was married at Brownstone Gardens in Oakley Ca, and one rule they have is how Djs set up. Making sure they have two different set ups so the Transition from ceremony to reception is smooth. Terry's set up was amazing & my wedding coordinator keep giving compliments that he was awesome, and much they liked him. My ceremony music was perfectly timed, and the mics worked great. I honestly didn't even think about mics and thought we'd be yelling our vows. Lol but sometimes brides don't think about everything & u need someone on ur bridal team who has your back & he's the guys:) when we first met at his house to go over music for special songs /dances he was so inviting, his energy & vibe were amazing. We were going over songs and I like one but the beginning before, the words started to soon which was not long enough for my full bridal party of 8....10 with my father & myself last. He worked his Magic, & did his own cut to make it longer & last for the full bridal party. And he had it perfectly time to start the lyrics "Marry me" by train when I started walking. Creating that beautiful moment for the first time I saw my husband. After the I dos we did a cocktail hour, followed by introductions and reception. During intros Terry Mc voice set the tone to get everyone ready to party. He's tone & Pronunciation was on point, he has a great Mc voice!!! Thru out the night timing was Impeccable & the night ran so smooth. With special dances and dancing music the energy was up the hole time, & where it needed to be filled with love & romance it was. I Personally didn't make a play list, & put it in his hands. & he stepped to the plate & hit a home run. My guest were happy, my groom was happy, & I was happy!! I still get comments till this day on how epic my wedding was, & how much everyone enjoyed themselves. Terry had a huge part in that. I thank him for his wonderful work, & look forward to seeing him in the future :) he's the most have Dj for your upcoming event!! read more
