I am beyond upset with the service we received at Magic Eyebrow I have been a loyal client for many years including my parents, boyfriend, sister and brother. Me and my family always go there to get our eyebrows done here thinking we get professional results, but it was a complete disaster for us. Every time we go, they end up cutting our skin. It is painful, unprofessional, and shows a total lack of care or technique. I always went back because I was comfortable with the place and have been going for many years. I never said anything, never spoke up about it and now I am about to. Today they completely messed up my mom's eyebrows, leaving her with a noticeable bald spot. It's going to take months for that hair to grow back, and she is incredibly self-conscious about it. When my mom got her eyebrows done she noticed her eyebrow hair missing, when the issue was brought up the lady denied it and tried to blame it on my mom for having thin eyebrows saying she did not do that. I told her she definitely did not come in with a bold spot on her eyebrow, the lady said quote " I have been working for 20 years on eyebrows. I know how hair works" basically denying what she did. She also said that went she plucked one hair it made it look like she was missing hair. Mind you we have been loyal customers for her service, my mom does not pluck her own eyebrows she goes to Magic Eyebrows every single time, there is no excuse. The lady has never left my mom looking like this before. It was so bad my mom was very upset. I was very respectful about it all, although my mom was very upset I told the lady and she kept making excuses that sometimes eyebrow hair falls out and that could've happened to her to be missing her eyebrow. Like seriously? The whole time she was doing my moms eyebrows she was on the phone talking as well, (very unprofessional) after the service when my mom kept looking at her eyebrows the lady made a sarcastic comment saying she needed to get her mustache done too, to look better. I don't understand why she was being rude and when the issue was brought up she kept blaming my mom. Not only that but we kept going back and forth about the situation asking me what did she want her to do if her eyebrow was already like that, I literally told her I was not gonna argue over this and we would just pay and leave but the problem was that she did mess up my moms eyebrows and she wouldn't admit it, telling my mom it will grow over time and that she can just go home and fill her eyebrow with a eyebrow pencil. My point is why would she go get her eyebrows done and pay for her to go home and still have to fix her eyebrow? The lady did not like that response and kept going, the only reason we were able to move from it, is because other customers started arriving and she seemed embarrassed so she just told my mom if she wanted to pay. Obviously we did not and left. She couldn't even admit it, blamed my mom, and didn't even apologize. I just wanted to say, to find a better eyebrow place because if she does do you dirty she won't own up to it. Also she's very rough and cuts you when threading. This has been an issue for a very long time but I never said anything, my last straw was her doing this to my mom. Not only did she mess up my mom's eyebrow but she cut her skin as well. The lady always cuts my skin and my family's skin we just always forgave and never said anything. My own eyebrows are a mess from last time I went. They are totally uneven I felt like one is significantly thinner than the other. I usually just use makeup just to make them look somewhat normal. Now I realized that I shouldn't be paying to get a half ass job done. I am paying and I generously tipped her for what? My family will not be coming back ever again. read more

Additionally, her hands didn't seem very smooth, as you can see in the picture below. I ended up with three cuts, and it was & still is very painful & I have to go out like this. Arch no arch I can't believe that someone that says they have 14 years of experience can do such bad eyebrows. This is the worst place I've ever been to in all of Las Vegas. My mom usually goes to them and lately hers has been looking the same way. I decided to give them one more chance and I knew in my heart. I should've never done that. I had been growing out my eyebrows, not touching them, not tweezing them looking a hot mess for three weeks. Just to grow back what they did to me last time. And now I have an eyebrow with an arch and one with no arch one that's rounded and one that's arched. Never have I ever had anybody take away the peak on my eyebrow. You really have to be really not caring to not be able to tell the difference between balance on an eyebrow with the peaks. So sloppy and the woman that I usually go to was just talking crap with her friend in Persian as I sat there getting butchered. I'm pretty sure they don't disinfect there's tweezers either because I didn't see any disinfectant. I'm so upset. And this happened right before a big event in my family my sister's baby shower. I stopped coming here about 2 years ago because I didn't like the way my eyebrows were being threaded. she told me my eyebrow had a gap or "this part won't grow and microblading can make this look full" etc, advised me to use castor oil to encourage hair growth. But when my eyebrows would grow back I'd have no problem with them being full. So I started going to another business for the last 2 years which I have been happy with their services. I decided to come back yesterday since I was working in the area (I walked in wearing scrubs).. and she threads my eyebrows telling me I there's a part of my eyebrow that isn't growing in that she remembers me from years ago... and then tells me I'd benefit from microblading. The first couple of times I came here all was great because the girl who opened this business form the beginning did a great job. I kept coming and it was always different staff and so I KEPT returning with the idea that I should give them another chance to redeem themselves. After the last time they messed up my eyebrows, I HAD to let them grow because they were so thin and uneven. I went about 2-3 months without coming back. I decided to go again before my graduation and I wish I just hadn't. Idk why it's so difficult to find a place that can thread eyebrows EVENLY. The service is okay. Everytime I get there I always have to wait even when I'm the only customer in the store. No biggie but seriously. You're making me wait 10 minutes because you're sweeping? After they're done with my eyebrows they don't ask if I like it or anything, they just tell me "okay done" and expect me to get up and pay... uhhh.. okayyy.. and then when it came to tip I press skipped, they got surprised and shock and asked me "why no tip" !???? DON'T COME HERE if you love your eyebrows! I've had mine and my kids eyebrows threaded here a couple of times in the past and without any issues. I don't ever remember having a great experience here. Always mediocre. Today, my son and I walked in at 5:00 pm and thought it was closed because the sign on the door said closed. I asked if they were open and she said yes. I offered to flip it over to open and she said no. When it was my turn in the chair, she asked me to scoot up. I did so and then she said more. I couldn't scoot any more because I was at the highest point I could be while in the chair. She was very rough, she gave orders in a rude tone almost as of barking orders. I get my eyebrows done every 2 weeks but I usually go to Diva Beauty. I'm used to the pain of threading but this woman was way too rough. When she was done, she handed me a mirror so I could see. I had a bald spot on my right eyebrows. I asked what happened. She said she didn't touch it. I do my eyebrows everyday and I would notice a bald spot. She denied doing it every time I'd tell her that it wasn't like that before. I figured there was nothing that could be done at that point so I paid and left. I'll never come back here again. It states Sunday's they open at 10am, got there at 10:40am, the open sign still visible only to get out of my car and find myself standing outside reading a post it note saying they were sorry and would be back in 5 minutes. Alright, I am officially done with this business. It has been so hit or miss over the last year when you come in with how long you are going to wait. With or without appointments, doesn't seem to change much. Come in today with only one person sitting in the chair and one waiting. The one in the chair took about 10 minutes after I arrived to be done and then sat back down, seemed like she was with the other person who was waiting (maybe mom and daughter?). The other person gets in the chair and another 10 minutes go by... 20... 30... and now 40 minutes later the second one is done now too. Finally my turn?! Absolutely not! Nope, the one who was in the chair first now wants her eyebrows even thinner than they were already done. So what does the employee do? Sit her right back down in the chair and start again. So I promptly got up and departed. 40 minutes later and I'm STILL waiting when only 2 people were inside and one was actively being serviced when I came in? Are you kidding me? Mind you, I have to bring up my newborn child with me because no one is able to watch her on my off days. But when I first arrived my kid was asleep without any issue until about 30 minutes in when she started waking up. Every single person in that building could hear her start to cry and get fussy. No one cared. I wasn't about to bust out all the supplies to create a bittle and feed a 2 month old in the middle of the business when my service only takes 5 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. I have been coming to this location on and off for the last five or so years (first time 8/9/16 according to Yelp). I'm officially done. We needed a few things from Target today and after we parked, my 13-year-old daughter asked (again), when she could get her eyebrows threaded for the first time. On a whim, we donned our respirators and walked over to Magic Brows. It was quiet and the woman at the reception desk told me how much it would be. She worked quietly and quickly (wearing a mask), which I appreciate because this pandemic leaves me with no desire for small talk. The woman's name was Saba and she did a wonderful job. I found this place on yelp and thought about giving it a try since my eyebrow lady I've been going to for 5 years moved to a different state. Mojy was great! She taught me how to achieve great eyebrows, she threaded them just how I wanted and she even did my make up! She had me watch her fill and highlight my eyebrows. It was wonderful. I came in on a Monday after work and two workers were sitting in the lobby socializing cuz the place was empty... which sometimes makes me nervous... especially if when I'm greeted I'm met with an eye roll and a sigh. Luckily that wasn't the case! I was greeted with a bright smile and a cheery disposition I told the eyebrow stylist I wanted to grow my eyebrows a little thicker and that I don't like a lot of shape. I think she did a great job cleaning up the edges and not arching them too much (I don't like walking around looking permanently surprised or confused). The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because she made the area closest to the bridge of my nose a little too thin... maybe this was my error in not being more specific. I enjoyed my experience here. I haven't had my brows down in over a year and I came in here with my mom. The lady doing my eyebrows smelled of cigarette smoke and she didn't sanitize her hands when going from doing one persons brows to the next. I also noticed that she may have been blowing her nose before we came in and she still didn't wash her hands before working. The uncleanliness is why I gave this place three stars. This place is amazing. First I was kinda skeptical on how a thread could take of fine hairs on your face and other parts of your body. Set the appointment for 11:30, walked in on time with someone already sitting in the chair (one worker threading) and another customer sitting in the waiting area. I signed in and sat down. They finished with the other client at 11:45, then let the girl sitting in the waiting area go ahead of me... which pushes me back to 12:00 before I even sat down in the chair... so if you have an appointment. LET THEM KNOW! Or else you wait with everyone else. Any who. My brows turned out great. I'm actually from out of town. So I'm sad because I wish we had as good a place in San Diego.
