I saw on Instagram later (as she had never responded to me) that she had sold the cake. She never responded. I had to write two other emails to know what was happening for the date of the party. I wasn't even sure at that point she would show up. She would not respond to texts. In the end, I had to cancel party at least one week before due to Illness. she never gave me any money back. Zero customer service, hard to contact. She told me 'this is never happened before'. Really bad communication and even worse business practices. Buyer beware.

Since none of us were familiar with Miami, I decided to turn to Yelp. Rock Star Pastries immediately caught my eye due to the wonderful reviews and pics of Jessica's work posted here and on her website. Although Jessica's website stated that she preferred to have orders in weeks before, I crossed my fingers and sent my request several days before my friends and I flew into town. I guess crossing my fingers worked because Jessica was down to do my order! I wanted to avoid having your typical X-rated bachelorette cake so instead I requested to have a simple cake with an edible image of Zach Morris and AC Slater on it. Jessica had some really fun ideas for this cake, such as adding 80's inspired decorations, which got me even more excited about this cake. When she delivered it, the cake definitely exceeded my expectations. She did an awesome job on capturing a look from the opening credits of SBTB. All of the girls were in love with it, and the bachelorette's face lit up when we surprised her with the cake. It seriously took us half an hour of admiration and picture taking before it was time to cut the cake. That proved to be a little difficult since the bachelorette said it was too cute to cut apart. The flavors of the cake I chose were 4 layers of red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting between the layers. Covering the cake was a vanilla butter cream frosting with fondant as the top layer. Let me tell you, this had to be one of the best red velvet cakes I've had so far! The cake was also moist and the cream cheese frosting was not too sweet either. Over the duration of our stay, all 10 of us managed to finish this cake, which was good to feed roughly 16-18 people. Overall, Jessica definitely did a wonderful job on not only decorating the cake but managed to deliver a delicious and reasonably priced cake. My little one immediately noticed the glitter and pink from across the way, so we had to pop over and try some boba and desserts. We shared the cloud ice, lychee mango, and taro milk (dairy-free option!) in a bag as well as the boba with dairy-free Thai tea. Luciano and Pedro Brilho were determined to bring their love of Brazilian brigadeiros to their adopted country of the United States. Opened in May of 2015, they were the first chocolate Brigadeiro shop in Florida. What are brigadeiros you might wonder? For the uninitiated they are a Brazilian bonbon, created in the 1940s and named after Brigadier Eduardo Gomes (apparently a good looking single fellow with an legion of admiring female fans). You usually find brigadeiros at birthday parties in Brazil. Although they are typically chocolate, you can find them in a variety of flavors here. Ingredients include sweet condensed milk, flavoring (cocoa powder) and butter. The candy is hand rolled and can be stored at room temperature for up to three days. The brigadeiros here are tiny and depending on how many you buy, run around $2 apiece. Brigadeiro offers 15 flavors including churro, Nutella, dulce de leche, Romeo and Juliet (guava), pistachio, rainbow, white chocolate, and their top seller Oh My Gosh which received it's name from what customers said the first time they tried it. "OH MY GOSH" They also sell cakes by the slice and in jars. They even have coffee cups covered in candy for the most amazing looking cappuccinos. Their Nutella cappuccino reached 16 million views on the internet and became viral in Miami. I had previously visited their store in the MiMo district. This Oh My Gosh is located on the first floor of Julia and Henry food hall in downtown Miami. I bought a sprinkle and original OMG to go for $5. They are packaged beautifully like jewels in a tiny box. The creamy brigadeiro's are very addicting and they make the perfect little sweet pick me up.

One of our party got a concrete, I got an Italian ice/custard blender and another got straight Italian ice. All were pretty good although my blender didn't have the topping of strawberries actually blended in, just scooped on top. Maybe that's how they make it but I found it a little odd. Overall the food was great but....service was definitely lacking. When we entered we were the only people there but the employee was on a FaceTime call with 7 or 8 other people. She propped up her phone and they just kept talking in the background. She seemed like she was either having a horrible day or just hated her job. Didn't greet us, couldn't really hear her at all, seemed bothered that we came in at all. She was more interested in getting back to her call than actually helping. Again, treats were great but just given the poor interaction I don't know if I'd come back here.

Dishonest establishment and mediocre bobo tea …read more.. I've been a loyal customer for a few years and have seen this place change a lot. It started as a great boba tea lounge with Japanese cheesecakes, but now it's more of a random pastry shop selling whatever the owner brings to the shop to sell. I miss the original vibe, but I kept coming back. Lately, though, the boba teas have been hit or miss, it really depends on who makes them. At this point, they're just not worth the price. What really bothered me today was seeing an automatic gratuity added to my receipt and the staff didn't mention it. The girl serving me didn't let me know about it, so I ended up leaving an extra tip on top of that without realizing. When I asked her about it, she said she didn't know when the policy started and that the automatic tip doesn't go to her, just the extra tip does. So either the owner is stealing from the staff, or she's is lying to get extra tips. Either way, it didn't seem right. I've stuck with this place through all its changes, but the lack of honesty and transparency is a deal-breaker for me. Sadly, I won't be coming back. I will definitely not come back for mediocre boba tea that comes with a 15% automatic gratuity.. SORRY!!

You can really taste the espresso and it was the perfect temperature. When you first walk in, it's a more chill bar until you walk downstairs and it becomes super cool. The dj was amazing, she had the crowd moving! It feels like you're underground when you walk in. Everyone was having a great time, you can really tell. The only downside was trying to find parking, you can go find street parking but it can be a bit tricky. I found a spot but I had to really squeeze into it. There is valet next door at Gold Rush but I'm not sure how it works. Overall, I will definitely be returning for another fun night.
