Great location for breakfast. No waiting. Small cafe, so service is prompt.

The bar room was offered and based on our experience of a live band or good music we chose of our area. Unfortunately, the service ( if there was any) was non existent . We sat there for more than 10 minutes. No one asked us a question. Came to check on us or anything. They watched us. Do you have a food return to the dining room with menus and hand and no one attempted to see what was going on There were only two other couples sitting in the room. It was almost empty. We wound up moving back to the dining area because we plan to have tea and coffee. Once we or seated in the main dining area, the service was stellar. They checked on its regularly. We got water immediately. They took our order within 3 to 5 minutes that continue to check on us throughout the meal refilled our beverages. It is regularly crowded there the beautiful world that room is covered by direct sunlight from the windows that show you the waterfront there's plenty of seating, the music is loud enough to enjoy but low enough to have conversation and enjoy your meal simply perfect I got my favorite the crab sand, which is at market price and delicious. My husband had a jumbo shrimp scrambled that comes with bacon and avocado, and it was delicious. I adore this restaurant and I really enjoy the fact that they've started covering the outdoor patio area so you don't have direct Son. It's a perfect place to enjoy a good Saturday or Sunday brunch with friends and family. It's always have fun. How am full of live with people enjoying their meal Except to spam $50-$75 a person depending on what you choose to eat from the menu and what type of beverage you have and that only includes one beverage Your average brunch scramble or omelette runs about 30 bucks. Anything seafood will be 40 bucks plus coffee and $3.75 and refillable which I love and I can't really show you the cost of a cocktail. It's been a minute.

The coffee was cold, the service was slow, and the food was lukewarm at best. They took over 10 minutes to even get us started on drinks, then it took 30 minutes to get the food. Once I got my plate, nothing was close to warm, and tasted oily because everything was cold. They took the plate back and offered to remake it, but after how long it took, I passed. I won't be back again.

The food did not disappoint. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and waffles, and the chicken was flavorful, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Philly Cheesesteak was so bland... seems that it wasn't seasoned at all. Instead of sliced beef with cheese it was with overcooked cube steak with shredded melted cheese. Steak was touch and bland. We also ordered a cinnamon roll... we had to ask twice since we were already done eating and we still dis not get the cinnamon roll. We asked to take it off our bill since we are already done. They just gave us the cinnamon roll on our way out and said it's on the house. Duh!!!! We tried the cinnamon roll upon reaching home.... pastry was dry... you can really taste that's it's old. Not good at all. Overall... it was our first... and Last visit. Very disappointing.

As I walked in, it look renovated and up to date with the decor. I got seated promptly by Tammy. Tammy was managing my table and a few others. The vibes of the place was my type, a mom and pops diner. Tammy suggested a pork ribeye but I proceeded with the half plate of steak ham! Oh brother was that a plate, I also ordered a pancake which was amazing. This place overall is a nice local diner, come in and support a small business. The service was not short and the food was great. I definitely recommend this place and also got to chat with Tammy a great person.

It didn't look like the food would be really good but this is taking me back to the old style original local neighborhood good eats, great service, and nice clean bathrooms!! We ate here because my partner's band had a gig on a Sunday night to play from 5-8. I was impressed when I saw that the band was eating pork chops (full dinner with garlic toast, veggies, baked potatoes with the works (we are talking bacon, cheese, sour cream, and good old butter). Veggies weren't over cooked either! I ordered liver and onions because I was very much caught up in eating food from my misspent youth. It was very good. Not overcooked and that is amazing. And the gravy was really good too. I had the baked potatoes with the works and promptly forgot my resolutions eat less carbs. (In my defense, I was left unsupervised.) You really need to try this place out!

We finally made it back to Sylvia' Restaurant It had been…read moreat least 8 years since we'd last visited, and I forgot--until the first few bites--how consistently good this place has stayed. The morning atmosphere has that classic neighborhood warmth to it--no rush, no fuss--just comfort food done the way it's meant to be. From the moment we sat down, everything felt familiar in the best way, like our past and present got to meet right at the breakfast table. Our food was just... exactly right. The flavors were satisfying and full, the portions were the kind that make you feel taken care of, and the whole meal tasted like it was made with care instead of shortcuts. It's the type of breakfast that doesn't try too hard, but still delivers. Even after all this time away, **it was still excellent**, which is honestly the biggest compliment I can give. What made the visit extra special was the nostalgia. We weren't just eating breakfast--we were remembering why we loved coming here in the first place. It brought back that feeling of earlier mornings, earlier routines, and time spent together without even realizing how much we'd missed it. Coming back after so long made the experience feel bigger than a meal. **Bottom line:** If you're looking for a breakfast spot that's reliably delicious and also has that comforting, "we've been here before" feeling, **Sylvia's in Antioch** is absolutely worth a return visit--even if it's been years like it was for us.

Had the Geneva's omelette, which was packed with meat and cheese - very hardy and delicious. The pancake was good too though still a little tough for my taste. Friendly staff as always.

Our calamari sat for a while as it was cold. It also didn't help that the server walked right by our table with the calamari in her hand, all the way to the other end of the restaurant and then back and put it on our table. Made zero sense. 4. Most importantly, if they can't remember every detail of an order by trying to memorize it, have them write it down!! Period. This is a skill not everyone possesses. We will definitely be back as the food was pretty good. But I hate spending $120 for dinner in basically a sports bar, get mediocre Service and they expect a 20% tip. (Which I still gave) This was just a few of the things we dealt with. It wasn't really crowded so do like other restaurants. Make sure the item is tagged for the right table and anybody can bring it out. It doesn't have to be the server as I know they're attending to other tables.
