It really has products from all around the world. When we arrived, we didn't know about the giraffe and rhino entrance system, so we parked in the front and entered through the rhino entrance. Apparently, the rhino entrance is optimized for shoppers coming here for everyday necessities and the giraffe entrance is optimized for the full experience. Ultimately, the store is all connected so it doesn't really matter, but you may save yourself a few steps by going to the back parking lot and entering through the giraffe entrance if you want to explore the whole store. They have an extensive beer, wine, and liquor section, though we didn't buy anything as we were going to Louisville next and wouldn't have space in our luggage for an extra bottle. The international section is huge. Based on my experience, I would say that for each individual country, the spread of packaged goods doesn't quite reach the level of a full Asian supermarket, but the selection is about as good as an ethnic corner store. Still, there's no other store in the country quite like this; Berkeley Bowl doesn't have the breadth or depth of coverage. Now, one area where Berkeley Bowl shines is in produce; while Jungle Jim's has a very extensive produce section including international produce, I would consider them a tie in terms of variety, despite the former's much smaller footprint. Now, they do keep it local as well. They sell various brands of canned Cincinnati chili, frozen goetta, Cincinnati-made whisky, and Cincinnati-roasted coffee. We got several bags of coffee from at least three unique local roasters, generally roasted within the last 1-2 months. After getting home and tasting it, it was very good. Overall, prices can be a bit steep, but it's worth it for hard-to-find items that you can't get anywhere else. There are also some sale and clearance items where you can snag a good deal.

Such as..one that I've never seen before but I guess makes sense..the deodorant bottles are locked up in these plastic boxes that you have to get unlocked when you purchase one. Seems like an extreme measure for a product under $10 but who knows..maybe they had a real issue with them being stolen. Other than that..it's an average sized store. They always seem to have at least the basics of what most Kroger's have. The staff I've encountered have been a little..off. Don't quite know how to explain that further. I guess you'll have to go in and see for yourself..but I think you'll understand. No reason not to swing by this location for groceries. Never been in there after dark, but during the day it doesn't seem to feel that unsafe.

My wife has "total anxiety," meaning she hates hearing how much she's spent, and she always tells the cashiers to not say the total, and then I'll pay it. But the cashier we had at this Walmart the last time we went had a look on her face like she just couldn't wait to do the complete opposite. When she was done ringing up our stuff she looked at me with gleaming eyes and a huge smile on her face and she announced the total loudly, then laughed, like a big "F YOU." Today, I noticed they spruced up their kids play area and as we were making our small purchase, the man assisting us (Tom) kindly gave my girls a tasty chocolate bar for visiting (he specifically picked out an allergen free one for them after I told him we are vegan). We were able to go outside and sit by the fountain while they enjoyed the bar. As a smaller grocery that only stocks higher quality products, prices are higher than Kroger and similar stores, but this is understandable and I appreciate the efforts to make Moon even better.
