This Kroger location isn't the best or worst one out there. It's in Hamilton, so..there seems to be a lot more security measures in place that you don't see at some other locations. Such as..one that I've never seen before but I guess makes sense..the deodorant bottles are locked up in these plastic boxes that you have to get unlocked when you purchase one. Seems like an extreme measure for a product under $10 but who knows..maybe they had a real issue with them being stolen. Other than that..it's an average sized store. They always seem to have at least the basics of what most Kroger's have. The staff I've encountered have been a little..off. Don't quite know how to explain that further. I guess you'll have to go in and see for yourself..but I think you'll understand. No reason not to swing by this location for groceries. Never been in there after dark, but during the day it doesn't seem to feel that unsafe.

I really wanted to love this place because of all the good things I heard about it. I drove over…read moretwo hours to try it out. I will say that I really loved the huge variety of everything in this store. We arrived on a busy Saturday at around noon (won't be doing that again) but easily found a good parking spot in the giraffe lot. I got a cart for my child and it had a baby steering wheel for her to play with to entertain her. You walk in and are instantly overwhelmed by all of the options- in a good and bad way. I don't think the store is messy by any means, it's an organized chaos. We followed the line of people throughout the different sections and strayed away a few times to look at some items. I liked the pickle barrels with 3/$3 whole pickles with different flavors to choose from. There's a HUGE alcohol section so if that is your fancy then you are sure to find what you are looking for there. The customer service was not very good. Workers had AirPods in and when you went to ask a question they acted like you were a huge bother. I will say that the bartenders at the random bars across the store were so nice. Maybe because a difference in roles? Not sure. What REALLY left a huge distaste in my mouth was the cashier and his helper that was bagging groceries. On my receipt it says Walter. I got up to him and said hello and he stared straight at me. After he was done scanning he didn't say anything at all he was just waiting for my card. My mom was right behind me with her items and got the same treatment. She even inquired about what rang up as $32 because it looked like a candy that was scanned came up as that much and he just stared at her as well. No troubleshooting, no help at all whatsoever. It was honestly like talking to a wall. His bagger also had the same attitude but both had no issue speaking to the cashier in the next lane when they had a question amongst themselves. You could just clearly tell they'd rather be literally anywhere else than working on a Saturday. It was honestly ridiculous to be ignored so blatantly like that. Overall if you need any type of grocery under the sun I would say come here. Don't come on the weekend though. I'd maybe come on a weekday during non peak hours and for sure won't be asking for help from any employee.

I'm standing in my kitchen where my ring camera is on the front door. They said they tried to deliver couldn't and took it back to the store and canceled my order. Nobody came to my door. I agree with Matt R--Walmart is Walmart. You will have the typical Walmart experience no matter…read morewhat the location. But the Walmart 1-star experience for me is often due to its customers, not the employees. Walmart is not my go-to when it comes to shopping but I stopped at Walmart today to pick up colored pencils and drawing paper. Do Walmart shoppers know that "shopping cart corrals" are for returning shopping carts? Walmart shoppers are some of the worst for cart abandonment--leaving carts anywhere and everywhere in the lot. Although these shoppers have just walked through a 180,000 square foot store, they will not walk another few feet and put the cart they "borrowed" where it belongs. Instead, they will abandon the cart and leave it with no consideration to others that it may roll into another car or obstruct open parking spaces. No excuses--if it's raining, you will not melt, so return your cart. If you have kids, park closer to a corral. And if parked in the handicap space and have borrowed one of the store's motorized shopping carts, you did have the ability to walk up to the store entrance to borrow it--now ride it back to the store entrance and put it back where you found it. Again, no excuses. Cart abandoners--your mother does not live at the Walmart! Did she not teach you to pick you after yourself? Walmart shoppers also don't seem to know the use of the garbage cans. I walked by a parking space today with dirty diapers discarded on the pavement. Two spaces up--it was discarded with fast food bags and big gulp cups. I stopped and asked the employee collecting carts when leaving, what was the percentage of carts collected from the cart corral compared to the abandoned carts. Percentage of abandoned is close to 75%! Walmart could help with the issue by having more shopping cart corrals--knowing that their customers will not walk more than 3 to 4 cars to return a cart. And yes, cart abandoners, that means there will be fewer parking spaces near the entrance, and you will need to walk a few extra feet. But since according to Forbes magazine, as Americans we live in the #1 most obese country for high-income countries, the few extra steps may have a positive impact. Other option is that Walmart adopt the Aldi way--a quarter will unlock a cart. When you return the cart, you get your quarter back.
