David helped us find the place we called home for years and took care of us while we lived there. I say "took care" of us cause that's what it felt like any time we had a question or needed anything, David was the best superior customer service. We would speak to Liz in the office now and again and would receive the same caliber service, speaks volumes about the company. Their service makes everything easy, there is an app to pay your rent, you can also use the app to submit work orders for any repairs (in 8 years we only had 3) we would submit a work order and within 24 hours or less would be receiving service it was phenomenal. If you are looking for a place that will make renting easier for you it is definitely Total Property Management. Ask for David!!

I called to ask what the price per month was and was told $650.00 I asked when I could look inside and the lady said thurs between 1030 and 12. I called Thursday morning and they said, well next thurs between 1030 and 12 I called next Thursday morning, (my last day to renew my lease and current apartment for current rental price.) They said something came up and they could meet me tomorrow. I knew I wanted the house for that price so I said ok. Next day I see the house inside and decide fine Ill apply before anyone else and getting approved has never been an issue for me. The actual price of the listing then turned out to be $875.00, not even close.......... These people suck but the guy who showed me the house was nice that's why I gave 2 stars, but yea they totally suck. now signing a lease at my current place is like 100 more Wheres your god now?

Unreasonable. Greedy…read more I've lived in the condo my deceased father resided in since 01/30/23, Dad passed on 1/31. My nephew lived here for 5 years. I am beyond the Termination of Tenancy Notice vacate date of 4/30 because Bankston Property Management decided to reject our applications due to a 2-day delay in submitting them, even though we agreed to sign a new lease via email and made them aware of the delay. My hope in writing this review is to inform other prospective tenants about Bankston PM's business practices and possibly motivate them to reconsider their decision so we can remain in our home. Our applications were 2-days late of the requested date set by PM contact because: * I had to go out of town (I informed her but received no reply), * We could not download applications from the PM site as instructed by contact - there was no link, * PM office did not respond when I requested assistance, * receptionist was instructed not to accept them when I went to drop them off Both PMs blamed us for the delay and decided to withdraw the lease offer. (Note: Our applications were reluctantly accepted.) Bankston is now taking legal action to evict me. I'm not sure why they refused to accept our applications given the circumstances but I believe it is mainly based on greed. Bankston planned a rent increase from $875/month (what my parents paid) to $1,200/month on our new lease, and at a meeting with PM, he stated they could get $1,400+/month if we moved out. Apparently, Bankston, would rather see us homeless and line their pockets than allow us to sign a new lease and have a home. My opinion is, to avoid renting from Bankston Property Management because they can be unreasonable, difficult, and lack empathy. Do some research and you'll find other potential tenants/tenants have had bad experiences with them. P.S. For the record, All our neighbors are willing to act as references for our tenancy.

After a while, I just stopped asking and hoped nothing went wrong, which isn't exactly comforting when real money is involved. Once Chambers took over, that changed pretty quickly. Now when I have a question, I ask it and I get a real answer. Not days later. Not after following up multiple times. Just a normal, timely response like you would expect. It sounds basic, but it made a huge difference. What really stood out to me was how approachable they are. I've asked about lease stuff, tenant situations, random landlord questions, even things I probably should already know. I never felt rushed, brushed off, or made to feel dumb for asking. There were also times I reached out about things that weren't urgent at all or weren't technically their issue yet. They still helped me think it through and gave honest input. That was unexpected and genuinely appreciated. At this point, I don't feel like I'm guessing anymore. My priors manager's communication was terrible and to make things worse they were also unapologetic and unprofessional. I think the latter may have actually pissed me off more. After my frustrating experience, I spent a lot of time researching for a better property manager. After interviewing Kendra, I decided to switch to Chambers, and the difference has been unimaginable. Kendra and her team have been nothing short of amazing. They are incredibly professional, responsive, and genuinely make me feel valued as a client. Kendra's communication is excellent, she's quick to respond and always keeps me informed. The level of service she provides has given me peace of mind, something I desperately needed. I also appreciate having Chambers PM, specifically Kendra, to serve as a resource. My other properties are in Oakland and Walnut Creek, which is currently out of their service area, so I self-manage those rentals. And any time I have question about landlording or just need a second set of eyes on a tenant application, Kendra is willing to offer her expert advice, even though those properties aren't being managed by Chambers (yet! when/if they come to the Bay, those properties will be managed by Chambers.) My tenants are also much happier now. Kendra doesn't waste any time finding reliable tenants to fill vacancies whenever I may have one and her attention to detail has made property ownership stress-free. I feel very comfortable reaching out to her whenever any issues arise because I know she'll handle them promptly and effectively. The Chambers' team are a wonderful group who are truly engaged with their clients. Kendra's informative, has great communication skills, and goes above and beyond for her customers.
