They kept telling me our income is not enough, even though we have a section 8 voucher and make $3,000.00 + a month, then telling us there are cheaper places. They charged me for 2 applicants, $45.00 per adult. Roddy I'm tired of waiting, so I text and email them to refund the fee that they never ran our credit for, just slow walking everything, knowing my voucher does expire, blaming it on my housing authority worker, even though they did contact her themselves. Now they are saying they can't refund it back to my credit card because our credit was never ran, and I have to wait for them to get up off their ever widening butts to send paper checks thru the mail. Don't rent from total property management. I have all the emails and proof, and will be giving it to legal aid.

This property management company is fraudulent stay away. We hired them to manage our rental and…read moresigned a one year contract. During that time they were very aggressive with our long term tenants. After they evicted them they brought in new tenants, who we think were someone they knew. They do not look out for the owner's interest. They protected these new tenants and had us constantly fix things although we had remodeled the house after they evicted the long term tenants. During the year of their tenancy we did not receive any rental payments because something always needed to be fixed or something had suddenly broke and was deducted from our rent. The companies they hired to do the "work" did not perform professional work. They installed mismatched fixtures, the tenants ruined the carpet and did not take it out of their security payment. I could go on and on, but wanted to make sure others know to stay away.

Unreasonable. Greedy…read more I've lived in the condo my deceased father resided in since 01/30/23, Dad passed on 1/31. My nephew lived here for 5 years. I am beyond the Termination of Tenancy Notice vacate date of 4/30 because Bankston Property Management decided to reject our applications due to a 2-day delay in submitting them, even though we agreed to sign a new lease via email and made them aware of the delay. My hope in writing this review is to inform other prospective tenants about Bankston PM's business practices and possibly motivate them to reconsider their decision so we can remain in our home. Our applications were 2-days late of the requested date set by PM contact because: * I had to go out of town (I informed her but received no reply), * We could not download applications from the PM site as instructed by contact - there was no link, * PM office did not respond when I requested assistance, * receptionist was instructed not to accept them when I went to drop them off Both PMs blamed us for the delay and decided to withdraw the lease offer. (Note: Our applications were reluctantly accepted.) Bankston is now taking legal action to evict me. I'm not sure why they refused to accept our applications given the circumstances but I believe it is mainly based on greed. Bankston planned a rent increase from $875/month (what my parents paid) to $1,200/month on our new lease, and at a meeting with PM, he stated they could get $1,400+/month if we moved out. Apparently, Bankston, would rather see us homeless and line their pockets than allow us to sign a new lease and have a home. My opinion is, to avoid renting from Bankston Property Management because they can be unreasonable, difficult, and lack empathy. Do some research and you'll find other potential tenants/tenants have had bad experiences with them. P.S. For the record, All our neighbors are willing to act as references for our tenancy.

When I complained to the owner of the building Bankston agreed to give me the $250. That was 2 weeks ago and I still don't have it. The girl who answered the phone said the check was in the mail on 8/27/2024, however to date 9/7/24 I have not received the check. I finally requested them to stop pay and reissue and their answer to me was, "the bank charges a fee and we're not eating it". Again I spoke to the owner of the building and he told them to stop pay and reissue. I guess he is going to pay it. I hope he changes Property Mgmt companies, because they are not serving his best interest.

Before Chambers Property Management, I honestly felt like I was on my own. I technically had a…read moreproperty manager, but actually getting help was another story. Questions would come up and I'd either get no response or something super vague days later. After a while, I just stopped asking and hoped nothing went wrong, which isn't exactly comforting when real money is involved. Once Chambers took over, that changed pretty quickly. Now when I have a question, I ask it and I get a real answer. Not days later. Not after following up multiple times. Just a normal, timely response like you would expect. It sounds basic, but it made a huge difference. What really stood out to me was how approachable they are. I've asked about lease stuff, tenant situations, random landlord questions, even things I probably should already know. I never felt rushed, brushed off, or made to feel dumb for asking. There were also times I reached out about things that weren't urgent at all or weren't technically their issue yet. They still helped me think it through and gave honest input. That was unexpected and genuinely appreciated. At this point, I don't feel like I'm guessing anymore. I don't feel stuck or unsure every time something small comes up, and that peace of mind alone is worth a lot. Thank you Chambers Property Management!

Instead of managing and stabilizing my building, I lost money every month and my stress level was out of control. My priors manager's communication was terrible and to make things worse they were also unapologetic and unprofessional. I think the latter may have actually pissed me off more. After my frustrating experience, I spent a lot of time researching for a better property manager. After interviewing Kendra, I decided to switch to Chambers, and the difference has been unimaginable. Kendra and her team have been nothing short of amazing. They are incredibly professional, responsive, and genuinely make me feel valued as a client. Kendra's communication is excellent, she's quick to respond and always keeps me informed. The level of service she provides has given me peace of mind, something I desperately needed. I also appreciate having Chambers PM, specifically Kendra, to serve as a resource. My other properties are in Oakland and Walnut Creek, which is currently out of their service area, so I self-manage those rentals. And any time I have question about landlording or just need a second set of eyes on a tenant application, Kendra is willing to offer her expert advice, even though those properties aren't being managed by Chambers (yet! when/if they come to the Bay, those properties will be managed by Chambers.) My tenants are also much happier now. Kendra doesn't waste any time finding reliable tenants to fill vacancies whenever I may have one and her attention to detail has made property ownership stress-free. I feel very comfortable reaching out to her whenever any issues arise because I know she'll handle them promptly and effectively. The Chambers' team are a wonderful group who are truly engaged with their clients. Kendra's informative, has great communication skills, and goes above and beyond for her customers. She actually cares about her tenants and always answers the phone or calls back right away. If I could give more stars, I would! I highly recommend Kendra and her team to any homeowner looking for a reliable and trustworthy property manager. They have exceeded all my expectations and made a world of difference in managing my property.
