Unfortunately I wasn't home during install. When I got home I noticed the old fence was still there. I called and told frank about it. Said he "forgot" to take it,. Imo, this tells me it's part of the service. He never said they don't throw out old doors. I paid him some good money for these doors so of course I was going to make sure he picked it up. When asked when can he pick up he said Monday. Never came, nor did he call 2tell me he'd be late. No follow up whatsoever. Instead I called him and asked again. He said "tomorrow" he'd pick them up, which was last Thursday. Same thing happened. No call, explanation or follow up. Now we all get busy from time to time I understand that. So I decided to give him one more chance because, you know three strikes and your out. Well he said Saturday. Same result. The Doors are nice but not perfect. A bit overpriced as well, but that's the market. I found flaws in his work. I mentioned to him that I didn't get a door stopper. (the metal tube that goes in the ground to stop doors from the wind blowing them open). I probably won't get that either. Bottom line: I asked him 3 times and he didn't do what he said he would so that makes him a liar. Your word is your bond. He knew he was never going to return, of course because he already got his money. His work is alright, but for the money I paid it's not perfect. It has minor issues that I'll probably have to do myself. So a word of caution about this guy. He makes nice doors just like anybody else but the disrespectful lying just ruined it for me. I actually thought he was a good person, being all nice in the beginning, but then shows true colors later AFTER he's been paid. I won't be giving him any new business or recommendations going forward. Just a heads up. read more

I had a gate installed and it was beautiful. The only problem is the lock mechanism stop working and I can't get them to Come fix or replace it. I have called many times and all they do is tell me "we will be out there Wednesday". Wednesday never gets here. If you are looking for a fence, gate or door, look elsewhere. just because it looks good it does not mean you will be happy with madrid fence. I am writing this review just about a year after receiving our gate. From the very beginning we have had issues and I should have rejected the gate. We place our order with Frank and told him what we wanted and even showed him a picture of a gate he had done prior and we wanted the same letter monogram for our name. When he showed up to our home he had done a lazy half assed job on the letter we wanted to probably try to save money and cut costs on his end. I told him I did not like it and I was not happy with it that he could take the gate back and I was willing to lose my deposit. He said he did not want to take the gate back probably because it was a waste of material and time on his end and he would give us a $500 discount. Mind you I was not worried about a discount and did not want a discount I just wanted the gate done right as to what we ordered. he removed the horrible monogram letters and replaced them with ones that I requested from the beginning. When they attached the first ones they did not place them evenly so if you really notice one of them is a bar over to far. Fast forward to about a year later our gate will not close or latch and the two top parts of the door are hitting when you go to close the gate making it nearly impossible for it to be closed. I messaged him and he said he would be over to fix it. He came one time when we were not home and tried sanding the top two pieces to make them close. But that did not fix the issue so I messaged him again doesn't reply and then when he did reply he said he would be here on Monday at 10 o'clock to take a look at it once again no call no show it is now Tuesday at 11:30. are latch does not latch up and the deadbolt hole do not align therefore you cannot lock the deadbolt nor close the gate with the bottom portion of the latch. If i were you i'd take your business elsewhere. He is not reliable and does not stick to his word. This was a $5k gate we will be replacing. The first picture I am showing you you can look at the awful monogram letter, the second picture is of the gate up installed if you look closely one letter is over to far you can count by the bars, and the last video is of the gate closing but being able to be pulled open w a finger! mind you this is a solid gate there is no mesh therefore it is extremely heavy. read more

Frank is always polite, and helpful. I had some gate doors made and installed a few yrs back but we had a slight earthquake and one gate moved to the point we couldn't open it. I called him up , he set up the appointment on a Saturday ( he was a little late- but it's Saturday who doesn't run late on the weekends lol) I called him and he apologized and came over right away- fixed the door in 10min and charged me a reasonable fee to do the job. Update: Frank contacted me and apologized for the mistake made in reference to my gate spring not being put on when it was originally installed. Frank not only installed the spring but cleaned and restored the wood planks on the gate and even repainted the areas that had gathered rust on the lower frame. Frank was professional when he contacted me and the work was done in a timely manner. Frank's work is really good, I can see why he is busy on a regular basis. I appreciate Frank for resolving this issue I stated on the previous post and feel that I can refer Frank to those looking to get work done by him. read more

Its almost a year and the fence is still looking great. I had a little bit of rust on the gate latch but I'm thinking it was caused by all the rain we had in the past couple months so it wasn't closing all the way but I text Frank to take a look at it and he came out to look at it right away..
