Purchased a pair of lenses and frames from this firm on 3/24/23 (cost of $486.40) and yesterday (6/28/23) noticed that the left bow of the glasses frame was cracked at a 45 degree angle. I contacted Vision Source and they requested that I bring the glasses into their office and they would advise if they could do anything to assist my situation.
I took my glasses into their facility and the front desk person said that it looked like I had dropped the glasses. I assured her that I had not dropped the glasses and have no explanation other than the construction and design of the frames were very poor.
The frames are apparently made in Italy and carry a manufacturer name of "Safilo Elasta".
I was advised that the optometrist would attempt to repair the frames. A few minutes later, the glasses frames were returned to me and they remained cracked, but straightened out a little bit.
I was told that the manufacturer would not have any remedy for me, and that they "might be able to get" a replacement bow, at additional cost to me (but no promises). I promptly advised that I was not interested in paying any additional amounts in an attempt to remedy the situation.
Folks, I received 3 months of usability for the tidy sum of $486.40 and now have nothing more than a pair of glasses, with broken frames.
I would strongly urge that you take your business elsewhere, as this specific sales outlet has very little to offer in the form of customer service and this specific set of glasses frames aren't worth $5.00, when new, let alone what I paid for them.
You will be much better driving into Bend and purchasing glasses from Costco. Not only are they less expensive, but they also honor quality for the products they sell, and also have free replacement for any failures.
Personally, I will not be doing any further business with Vision Source and might suggest that you consider other options, when making your selection and purchase. read more
