beware..... prices change randomly. also seems to have a very poor memory and never can remember…read morewho you were or what car you have. took my truck in and the price went from $400 when i dropped it off to $900 when i picked it up. when i got home i noticed the transmission was leaking fluid everywhere. i called andy and he first didn't know who i was or what vehicle and tried to say i was never at his shop. i reminded him that i have a receipt and he miraculously remembered me but said "well what do you want me to do" (very rude) i had to have the truck towed back to his shop then it took him 2 days to fix the transmission leak. when i got home i put cardboard underneath to be able to see any leaks. the next morning there was a big puddle of engine oil under my truck. about 2 weeks before going to andys transmission, i had a shop fix all of the engine oil leaks and a new rack and pinion installed.the truck was not leaking a drop of any oil or transmission fluid before going to andys transmission. when i took it in to get the new oil leak fixed, i was informed that whoever did the transmission work was obviously very rough with it and had caused oil leaks from the pan gasket and rear main seal both of which were just replaced and were not leaking prior to andys transmission. the repair he did only lasted about 3 weeks and had to be repaired by a different shop. the bureau of auto repair of california was contacted and their agent crawled under my truck and stated that andys transmission did shoddy work and had illegally repaired my vehicle. they had zip tied the linkage instead of putting the bolt that holds it back in. which in small claims court andy himself said they pulled the transmission and repaired it without disconnecting the linkage which is physically impossible. this place does shitty work, lies, and does more damage than when you first bring your car in. beware.... stay away from andy's transmissions

When they dropped the trans, I was advised to change the clutch too. So I went and bought all the parts and trans fluid. On top of the parts, he charged over 1100 dollars. I finally get my truck back after about 2 weeks, and when I get home, I find that it is still leaking. So I take it back and question why it is still leaking, and he tried to tell me that I never brought it in for leak, despite that being the literal reason I brought it in, and it being on the receipt! After this I was brushed off and left hanging, so after a few months I get to bringing it back. Then, he just sprays the trans with brake clean and a bit of paint and calls it a day. So obviously I was furious so I bring it back again, where he finally fixes the leak, but then the clutch would not work at all, so it was in worse condition than I brought it. Additionally, he made a mess of my interior, left my shifter boot disconnected, and many more things a quality mechanic with even an ounce of dignity would have no problem. My clutch would not engage at all so when I call and try to take it for a 4th time, he was rude and an asshole about it. I ended up forking up my own dime and fixing it myself just so I wouldn't have to deal with this shop anymore. This is how Andy's transmission shop values their customers.
