Unfortunately, I didn't purchase it that day and it was gone when I came by today. BUT I found an Olympia SM8 instead and I took it home with me. It is GORGEOUS and in excellent condition. There are some minor paint drips on some of the keys and other surfaces from the previous owner, but nothing that prevents it from functioning as it should. Already popped in new typewriter ribbon, as I had an extra spool from owning an Olympia SM3. Excited to write on this! The people who work here are really sweet and helpful. Cash and cards accepted. Looks like most antique shops, but very organized. Definitely check it out if you're ever in San Clemente.

They looked at me if I was speaking a foreign language, English is still the language of choice isn't it ? I ended up frustrated and decided to leave. This is not the first time that I encountered a language problem. I know what you're thinking " why didn't you ask for a manager". well this past January I had to wait 35 minutes for someone to find a manager and when they did I had to help them fill out the form to my dismay ! The manager said someone from the Corporate Office would contact me within 48 hours ...... its now June and I'm still waiting ! This is about Corporate Greed, non trained staff members and managers at no fault of their own have been placed untrained into the service of dealing with customers.
