I have 4 young kids who are all at different developmental ages and this toy store had more options for each kid than any other store we've been to (and we frequent toy stores often). The best part of our first visit was how friendly the owner and her employee were. You can tell they really love what they do and they are not only helpful but enjoyable to talk to and are very open to suggestions and feedback on what toys/toy brands to sell. The store is large and there's always new products being brought in. I enjoy stopping by here to browse around. Looking at all the different toys allows me to find something great for all occasions. There is an amazing selection of stuffed animals, plushies, children's books, dolls, trains, board games, electronics, legos, dresses, figurines, and tons of classic toys from the 90's. The people who work here have really good recommendations if you want some direction. The gift wrapping looks great. They add a ribbon as well. The location is the best. It's my favorite little place in Corona Del Mar. There's tons of restaurants/cafes on the same block. There's parking in the back.

Many of the items didn't have prices on them, which was frustrating. They definitely have some hard-to-find items, but some of the prices seemed high to me. In my experience, these smaller toy stores do have higher prices, but you get the added benefit of supporting a small local business. For the things you likely can't find at a big box store the price tag feels worthwhile. While some things were expensive they did have a range of price points available to meet any budget. They had a great selection of board games for all ages and squishies, as well as art supplies and stickers.

I will not be returning…read more I came into the store on Tuesday because my girlfriend had been told by the toy store next door that the Pokémon 30th Anniversary celebration products were going to be available here that day. When I arrived, I asked the gentleman working there about them. He told me they were going to be putting them out within an hour or two. He took my phone number and told me that once they were stocked, he would call or text me to let me know. I went back to my car and then came back into the store shortly afterward because I had another question. As soon as I walked in, I watched him hand the same Pokémon 30th Anniversary product to another customer who had also been waiting for it. That was frustrating because I had just been told the product wasn't available yet and that I would be contacted once it was put out. A few hours later, I sent a friend into the store to ask about the same product. He was told it was sold out. I then had another friend go in separately, and he was told the products had never even come out. I never received the phone call or text I was promised. Then on Thursday, I went back myself. I didn't mention that I had been there Tuesday, that the employee had taken my phone number, or that my friends had already come in. I simply asked about the Pokémon 30th Anniversary product. The same employee told me that they had never received it at this location, that it was at their other store, and that it had sold out. At that point, the conflicting explanations were extremely frustrating. I personally witnessed the product being sold on Tuesday, was told I would be contacted, never received a call or text, and then received completely different explanations when my friends and I asked about the same product at different times. I'm also a business owner, and regardless of how limited or sought-after a product is, I believe customers deserve clear, consistent, and honest communication. If there are limits on who can purchase something, a reservation system, or a first-come-first-served policy, that's completely understandable. Just be upfront about it. Unfortunately, this experience left a very bad impression on me. It's not about missing out on a Pokémon product it's about how the situation was handled. I won't be returning to the store.
