My experience today was about the same for everyone here. Waiting in line, sure. Touchless shopping as well, OK! I understand that in a place such as this and in a busy establishment, theft can be a concern. There are a lot of little items in this store. And kudos to, due to the touchless shopping, the store looks impressive. items are placed in a nice array, pleasing to the eye. HOWEVER! My issue comes from the manager himself! He seems to be a psychic. Thats cool and I love that you offer readings, but do not presume people's attitudes and moods based on us just walking in, and not asking to be read. He seemed to have issue to the word "like" and tried to sell to my sister a green stone to "deflect and protect against shallow people who just talk your ear off with no substance." I felt this was some sort of comment to our group of people. He also was a bit abrasive to my elderly father of 70 years. I was speaking with the manager about a stone I wanted. My fellow family members struck up a separate conversation that had nothing to do with my own. Abruptly the manager stopped talking to me to interrupt their convo and proclaim "when the manager speaks it is your job to listen!" Made ME feel like what I was saying meant nothing to him - he just needed everyone's attention all at once. All of this overall came across as an aggressively positive BUT passive aggressive attitude. Very welcoming and all but comments that can be misconstrued as judgements on the character of the customer. Not good business. Not only that, half the store was not available to even be seen. A shame. MY BIGGEST THING HOWEVER and this is to the owner. Please please get rid of the Mr Beast chocolate. That content creator has a recent track record of bad business practices. It is quite jarring to go to a healing gift and gemstone store and then be presented with chocolate from this youtuber. His chocolate is ethically source, sure, but he has pending lawsuits for poor working conditions on his tv show and not providing adequate medical care to contestants. Claims of toxic work environment as well. I suggest looking into Tony's Chocolonely. This is a company also dedicated to ethically source cocoa, cruelty and slavery free. It was made by a guy who saw where cocoa was being produced and how and wanted to give a good effort to creating a brand in which candy is ethically created. adding this: There is a smaller crystal and gemstone shop run by a native American in this mall, and he was kind, and we were allowed to look without interruption. Nice cards were also placed by the stones describing what each crystal did. the more pricey stones safely locked away. A much more customer friendly approach! I don't generally leave Yelp reviews, especially when all the reviews already on the page describe the exact experience I had. But after briefly visiting this stationary clown car, I have no choice but to add to the chorus of complaints about the bizarre and offensive way this store treats its customers. Stop me if you've heard this one before: A customer walks past the storefront and notices some interesting items. They walk to the entrance and find a rope clipped between two stancheons as if they're about to wait on line to get into the hottest, most exclusive nightclub in town. A weird laminated sign tells them they can't come into the store until invited, which is weird, because the store is completely empty. Well, surprise, that's what happened when I went to Made by Hand. The sign was initially enough to put me off even attempting to shop there, but after passing the store the second time I decided to just go in. It's a store in a mall, why wouldn't you be able to browse, especially if no one is inside? Walked in and got no more than maybe 15 paces before a store clerk materialized out of nowhere and shuffled me back outside to wait to be invited back in. What am I, a vampire? Absolutely horrible customer service. That said, those crystals they sell must work because only spiritual intervention can explain why this place hasn't closed yet. read more

Beautiful crystals, but strict browsing policy and unclear pricing made it hard to fully enjoy the experience. The Made By Hand Store is visually stunning--with beautifully curated displays of quartz, amethyst, and other crystals that immediately draw you in. The selection is broad and clearly chosen with care, and the atmosphere feels peaceful and intentional. I also appreciated the friendly and professional service. That said, the strict no-touch policy (only staff can handle the items) made it difficult to fully connect with the pieces, especially since turning something over or holding it is often part of the decision process when buying crystals. I understand the desire to protect fragile or high-value items, but it added a layer of formality that felt at odds with the otherwise soulful space. Another downside: none of the items were marked with prices, and though there were bright posters advertising a sale, I couldn't find anything actually marked down. This made me a bit hesitant--and I ended up buying just a few small items instead of investing in more. I do respect the store's mission of fair trade and global artisan partnerships, and I think there's a lot to love here for the right buyer. Went to this place after seeing a "50%-90% off" Sign in the windows, first off we EVERYONE HAD TO WAIT IN LINE! it's not a club! and everything are WAY OVERPRICED! items from Shien or alibaba that should have been $1 are $80+ for a cheap plastic beaded bracelet and fake glass crystals?! They make you NOT TOUCH anything and give you a "guided tour" where the guy is rude talking junk about other businesses and tries to FORCE you to buy things as you walk around. I have never felt so unwelcome at a business in my life. I was excited to finally get to check out this store after passing it many times and it's been closed. Needless to say I wish I hadn't. I have visited many crystal stores over the years and never felt such negativity from staff. I didn't even stay 3 mins with the way the man spoke to me after I was a bit miffed by their policies and attitude when we walked in. This was THE WORST retail experience I ever encountered. The store is huge with tons of inventory. The salesperson made us (and everyone else) wait at the door to be "welcomed" (which was less than warm). He insisted that our party of 2 stay together and not touch anything. He treated us as though we wanted to steal his stuff. Nothing has a price and everything that we asked was exceedingly OVERPRICED. Went to this store and No one was inside. Was told to wait outside. I waited like 8 min. Then As I entered with my friend was given a lecture that me and my friend must stay together the whole time. And we can't touch anything without getting permission!! Then as I was walking around the woman who is the owner started to follow us around. We drove over an hour and were genuinely excited to visit this store for the first time--but unfortunately, it will also be our last. From the moment we walked in, the experience was incredibly disappointing. The associate was shockingly rude and condescending. This man Jimmy also operates Blossom Valley Landscaping.He took advantage of my 91 year old mom with dementia..charging $1800 for spreading mulch and trimmimg 3 smallish azealeas.This is bordering on elder abuse.He refuses to provide a receipt as promised and estimate which he claims he texted her...we cant find it anywhere.He avoids discussing the issue w schmoozing with claims about how amazing they are and how everyone loves them.He claimed they did all the edging when they did one side of the house and 8 feet on the other.He claims his advisor told him they do t even know who i am....i will be taking this joker to court.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS INDIVIDUAL.You have been warned.He is targeting this retirement community for more elderly people. read more

This store is almost worth visiting because of how insane the experience is. There's nothing worth paying the prices they're asking for, but they are actively customer-hostile. this store and the items they have inside are very beautiful but I will never spend my money here. there are rules to follow in order to even step inside, (which is ok) you must wait to be invited inside, you cannot separate from the person you are shopping with. you must keep your arms at your side and you cannot touch anything in the store, which is strange because with stones you generally pick them based on the connection you feel toward it. the manager is a creep and gives off the worst energy. I was shopping with my boyfriend and we walked by outside of the shop and saw there were a bunch of lego sets along the window, next to "50-90% off, everything must go" signs. as we walked up to enter the store another couple was entering the empty store ahead of us, a women stood at the door and told the couple that walked inside to go back outside and wait behind the red line until they were told they could enter, the couple left, and we probably should have too. we were invited in, told the rules, and went inside to ask the price of the lego set we saw, once inside we approached the area we saw the lego set and noticed it was completely hidden and unreachable behind these tables of stones, the manager turned to us, the only people in the store, and said we scared him, ok weird because he was standing next to where we walked up, but ok. my boyfriend asked him about the lego set. we were quickly met with a condescending and hostile response of "well our legos are gifts for customers who spend a lot of money here" ok, that's fine, he then told my boyfriend he should buy me a gift. while he spoke to my boyfriend and i stood there next to him the man spoke about me as if i wasn't standing there, which definitely made me feel uncomfortable and a little bit disrespected. he specifically pointed out a green stone for my boyfriend to buy me to deflect and protect against people who you spend your time with and that talk, and talk, and talk, but don't actually speak with intention, when my boyfriend asked for the price he said this quarter sized stone on a rope string was 100$, what a joke. he rudely followed that up with "if that's too expensive for you i can offer you an imitation stone for 10$ instead". he has such unwelcoming and arrogant energy. we left and will definitely not be returning. this store is a scam. read more

They had little interest in even letting me see their items but wouldn't let customers touch anything in the store. The man that "runs" the store/works there is a scam artist. My 11 year old, who loves crystals, wanted to purchase a necklace from the store with his own saved up money. We followed all the rules (there are many) in the store. When my son found the necklace he wanted, we were not allowed to touch it or even look too closely at it. My son asked if the metal portion was real sterling silver (considering the price, it would only make sense that it would be). The man stated that it was. As we stood there thinking about the purchase while the male associate cupped the necklace, the male associate made, what I assume to be some sort of "reading". He said to me "whoever you are leaving him with, is not safe". Referring to my son. It was totally inappropriate and made absolutely no sense. When the man sensed my confusion, he then stated "whoever watches him isn't treating him well, like feeding him unhealthy food". If I didn't get a sick feeling in my stomach from this man, the statements would have been laughable. My son was totally weirded out. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to actually go into the store because the store owner/sales person would not allow my family in altogether. She refused to let more than three people in which kept my twin nieces apart from both of their parents going in with them. When I tried to speak to the store associate about letting them in together, she chose to ignore me and turned away from me. Avoid at all costs. A few friends and I were shopping around and noticed this store. Some random stuff caught our eyes so we walked in. A woman came up to us the second we stepped in and asked if we've been here before. We said no and sorta kept walking (or tried to) around the store. She said 'you cannot just come in you must wait behind the red line' meanwhile no one was in the store. We waited a millisecond then bounced because the whole experience was just off. In case the owner doesn't know, the way you get people to buy things is by welcoming them and not making people wait for an unknown reason to walk through an empty store. An American Craftsman in midtown Manhattan to buy boxology, and artistic woodwork made by Americans. There's a store in the American dream Mall that sells crystals. You don't have to wait outside , and they're a fraction of the cost from this store. You can buy sarongs and everything else in this store elsewhere for less money. This is a generic mall store that enforces too many rules so you can look at cheap, mass produced reproductions. They only allow one person in the store at a time so they can follow you around. It may be an anti theft measure but it's horrible customer service. Perhaps it's a gimmick to make people feel special about buying crystals at a mall with chain stores. First time I tried to go I didn't feel like waiting for people to browse. When I stepped away, two other people got in line. So I didn't bother. This time the store was empty and the store associate made me wait outside while someone got a reading. Those people must have been invisible because No one walked out of the store, and there weren't any other employees in the store to conduct a reading. I found it belittling to require parents to hold their child's hand. My kid can afford to buy anything she breaks. If she broke something the Worse case scenario would be the store making a sale. Just went to this store in trumbull mall, CT. No customers were present in the store. The sales rep at the front shelf folding something stopped me from entering saying I have to wait outside a red line till I'm called in. I asked why it's not like it's busy. She said she don't know why but it's their policy. I stood outside but was already getting a negative energy. Some short man appeared and I was hanging up from a phone call. I asked are you the manager he said yes. He said his name is Joe. I was proceeding to ask why would i be made to wait when there was no one shopping in store. He interrupted me from the first sentence and did the hand thing saying "time out" raising his voice. Now I'm offended. So I let him know I'm not his child, I'm a grown woman, don't talk to me like that. I also let him know I'm not there to steal but to shop. But he kept shouting at me. I mean I'm still standing outside the door. But what a blatantly rude, uneducated, disrespectful man and so was his side kick the sales rep. Both of these individuals need to go back to school abd get a formal education and mist definitely in customer service.
